Brilliant rebuttal for you too, how you haven't responded to my post and especially how you won't answer the question 'So, what's the problem?' If you can't state clearly and exactly what is your problem with Jagex's fansite proposal then nothing can be done to see if your issues can be addressed. There's no problem with money, effort or creative freedoms. All of these are secure and personally, other than 'well I don't like it!' I can't see a problem.

Doing what's easy. expedient and self-serving would be to not only let game adverts, but gold selling adverts on the site. How is taking the time out to remove adverts for games easier than saying no to Jagex? And maybe Jagex are using the leverage of letting sites become 'safe sites' but they have EVERY right to do that, and why not? It's beneficial for them to not have competitor ads running. It's beneficial for us to have our name as gold/platinum. So what's the problem?

Yes, Jagex asked us to do something. The Tip.It admins pondered the decision and worked out that it was in the best interests of the site. It's BECAUSE extra time was spent making sure it wouldn't become a slippery slope that we were only put at gold. Tbh I can't see why people are still arguing when the situation has been explained. We'll be platinum soon enough.

Guys, before you start plotting the overthrow of Jagex please kindly remember it's JUST a bunch of adverts. Who cares? I mean really, do you love Evony so much that you MUST see their adverts? The only thing that people are arguing over now is pride and the supposed 'integrity' of Tip.It. There is no slippery slope and there are no financial issues, so this is what it comes down to. The ONLY reason Jagex didn't include us was their adverts. Was it petty? Yes, I'd say so. Is is such a big deal for us to remove them? No, it's not. I don't think the integrity of Tip.It has been harmed at all. What's better? 'We came to an agreement with Jagex about the fansite issue and resolved it diplomatically between us' or 'Jagex asked us to do this little thing so we said NO because being rebellious and sticking it to the man is much better for us in the long term.'

I'll wait to see what the mascot Pokemon for each is like, probably. And possibly the exclusives. Also for the 3rd game: Pokemon Grey?

I now have Higurashi on DVD!!! *licks it* I can't get it to work on Media Player Classic because of Region restrictions, but VLC plays it, as does my DVD player. :thumbsup:

We get money paid based on page views, not click throughs. So even if gaming ads are removed, another ad will just take it's place and make no difference.

Can't say I particularly like the K-On!! opening either :mellow: The first episode, in itself, wasn't too bad though. Kept the feel of K-On! Decided to watch Working!! after a great first episode. What's with the number of anime with !! in their name, anyway? >.< Watched the first episode of Arakawa Under the Bridge. A bit bizarre, but it made me laugh. Definitely one I'm going to keep watching.

Aww. That's a shame, I always like to laugh at Evony ads. :D Anyway, I've been seeing the same Sky TV advert for about 2 days straight now. I hope they start rotating a bit soon :P In short - I think it's a bit BS that they ask us to do this, but it's not a huge deal and I'm not worried about it being a slippery slope because I don't think Jagex would go down that road, and if they did I trust in our administration completely to know what is best for Tip.It and it's users.

I think a lot of the games are actually set in the same time period. Like there was a news report about the Red Gyarados in Sinnoh, which means the G/S/C games and D/P were like at the same time. Anywho, I think Pokemon is a bit for kids, but that's why I love it. Anything that reminds me of when I was a kid gets me a good ol' nostalgia high :)

Definitely an interesting read. At the moment I'm sprinting towards the goal of making 10m to get a Staff of Light and I'm about half way there. But I've gotten bored. I often don't find many moneymaking activities to be fun. One of the most fun things I like to do is mage at Castle Wars - it's why I'm getting a SoL. Yes, it's a drain on my bank but if I'm having fun that's all that matters. The problem is that sometimes to be able to have fun you need to do stuff you don't want to, like farm or craft natures. I think it's the same in real life.

They could easily put two or three weeks without update after a new skill without much complaint, i think. I'd like to see that... New skill comes out... Next week: WAAAAAH NO UPDATES! JAMFLEX NEVER UPDATE RUNESCAPE ANYMORE!!! :angry: Bet you anything people will complain about a no update week after the skill :P It does sometimes feel like 2 weeks of nothing, though, when a small update is done. It's a bit annoying but not the end of the world.

Used Rollout with me. <_< You just got lucky. I was worried she was nerfed with the Miltank being reduced from Lvl 21 to 19, but was still quite challenging. Only took 2 tries though.

I had an epic battle with Whitney today (yeah, I'm only that far). Killed her Clefairy quickly but her Miltank is a [bleep]. Ended up using my Pidgeotto's sand attack enough times so that it's accuracy fell as much as it could then it took all 35 gusts to kill the damn thing. It used all 10 milk drinks AND two super potions. Pidgeotto had roost so I was using that to keep it's health up when it did get hit... I was at it for like half an hour though :wall: What do people think of the Pokeathalon? Better than the contest crap imo, but still nothing amazing. Just feels like they don't think we have enough of an attention span to follow the main story without stopping for a shiny little minigame.

Maybe with some of the more 'girly' girls, yeah. But it's not actually quite as like that as you'd think. A lot of people I know don't mind... :unsure: @Maze - Yeah I'm not bothered what people think, it's still a bit sad though :P They're great games, still. And if I enjoy them, it doesn't matter.

I've learnt quite a few things: 1. I suck at writing big lengthy posts and I'm no good in debates where people are writing walls of text. 2. There are actually people out there that defend inequality and the right to let people be poor so they can be rich 3. I'm not the only person who isn't a big fan of America 4. I'm not the only person who thinks the UK needs to get out of America's [wagon] and stand for it'self. 5. Some people just can't let go of things 6. Arguing over religion and politics on the internet is almost completely useless 7. I say almost completely because it does help to expand people's horizons a bit, and I think I've learned more about politics 8. Eating glass is bad, mkay.

I watched the first episode of Angel Beats too, looked good. That leader girl (I don't remember names for quite a few episodes) reminds me a bit of Haruhi Suzumiya. Is Working!! any good? I've been considering watching it but I'm unsure. Also, I was going to buy the Higurashi Box Set of the first season for £30 from Amazon on Tuesday. Quite a bargain, I even haxxed my DVD to play any region for it... but then the seller went out of stock and it went up to £40... and now it's £50!! FML. I really hope they get it back soon ;(

But with blaze and STAB, blast burn can pack quite an extra punch, leaving at least a huge dent in pretty much everypokemon but blissey and flash fire users. Can't argue with hyper beam, but i neded a filler move Take Fire Blast or Flamethrower, as mentioned. Blast Burn is 150 power over 2 turns at 90%. Fire Blast is 120 at 85% and Flamethrower is 95 at 100%. Over two turns, Fire Blast is 240 at 72% and Flamethrower is 190 at 100%. Blast Burn is clearly inferior, even with STAB. Yes, in a single turn you get more damage, but that's rarely better than more damage over 2 turns. I would instead give Charizard Physical attacks to deal with the problems. A Fighting attack solves both nicely. Take Brick Break or Focus Punch/Blast and Substitute. When it comes to those sorts of moves I like to have both Flamethrower and Fire Blast because I find that sometimes you can't risk waiting a turn (ie, you're going to be killed), so you have to deal a powerful shot. Then of course the Gym Leader uses a full restore when you manage to leave their Pokemon with 1hp and you're left going Fuuuuuuuuu-
