Elys were selling with some regularity for 538m this morning. Seems like there's been a rise since and they're now going for above 545m. Sold one for 558M earlier.

I tried playing RL earlier... It was crazy! Yellow text didn't appear over people's heads as they spoke and when I got jumped in the alley for all my stuff, I kept my shoes, pants, and socks over my iPhone and iPod. I was scared and frightened, and so I crept into my basement to forevermore play RS. *Phew*. What a day it has been.

But Vroqren, surrender is more humiliating then defeat. ;).

Credit card thefts/ less people wanting to be members. Also what about unfair banning? (which Jagex does fairly often). Terrible idea You got to realize that most people that bot are just kids and stuff. There is a huge difference between cheating on a game and committing a grand theft. Sure some people would pay with stolen credit cards, but the vast majority of botters wouldn't. terrible criticism. Well, the RWT companies used it's customer's credit information to purchase memberships for it's bots. Why wouldn't it go that one step further and use it to pay for the $50 deposit?

That's going a bit to far imo. Jagex may not be the best company in the world but if they have time to fix minor graphical mistakes and announce like 20 other hidden fixes every update, I'm PRETTY sure they will make the time to fix staking...Since it's so popular. It's been going on since FT. Think that'd be enough time. :P.

Well, rwting did yield credit card fraud. Yeah, I figured the main one was RWT. But then again, how do the RWT companies get the money without hundreds of bots? :P. Hackers... Not so much.

Wow... My last 3 duels were 3 x-loggers. One was a mere 9M. These stupid [bleep]ing kids are ridiculous. And, we can probably rest assured Jagex ain't gonna do a God damn thing about it. They'd get rid of a lot of the people who occasionally bot... Not like the companies who are running 200 bots at once... If they implemented a simple macro feature like in WoW.

what do you mean? they have way more subscribers now. Many of them are botters, though. Yeah and we all know bots don't pay for their subscriptions :roll: Jagex knowingly and willingly sacrificed the gaming experience of it's players for more money. Simple as that. They knew botting would come back full-force. You really think they thought making a bot company change their name was "taking down botters"?

Never had this happen to me... Wasn't worried about it. If it happens, I have 15 minutes of talking to friends. Just happened. Woulda been a nice 700M though. >.<

So you can get more food from monsters these days then from the GE? Ok so lets say that you dont buy food, but you make it, It's way faster to fish and cook then to get the occasional sea bass from a monster. i.e You can be completely self sufficient if you have good skill levels and good combat, but you cannot be self sufficient with just combat, combat needs skills to aid it and skills need combat to be useful. That the end of it... Also, if you dont like bots then go to a foreign world, its not like you need to be able to read to click on a tree and then use quick bank, and the randoms are easy to figure out even in another language. I use the German worlds (140, 147) but the Brazilian worlds work fine too. the ge is not an item creation machine, it's an item redistribution machine. if you wanted to collect food for the sake of having food, then yes fishing and cooking is faster. if you want to do combat, you are better off just doing combat because the amount of food you need is zero for everything but the strongest monsters. you can be self sufficient with just combat. combat does not need skills. Because everyone in RS is maxed with SS, EEE, and unicorns right. They could be. Nothing stopping them. That's like when they took extremes and overloads out of PvP. Who cares if someone doesn't have 96 herblore, they have just as much of a chance to get it as anyone.

Aviansie bots maybe? Whats up with all the guthix kites tho? wheres the sara item? I mean, they all got zammy, arma, bandos, and guthix(?). they are aviansie bots, guthix shield, zammy legs arma coins.. ect, definetly bots, seen setup before while getting arma kc [bleep]ing sad. Nuh uh... [sarcasm] Jagex got rid of the bot problem, remember? They said so themselves.[/sarcasm] Go to blue dragons. You'll see hundreds of level 50 - 80s with names of random characters with granite platebody, dragon platelegs, whip, glory, dragon med helm, antifire shield, dragon boots. Quite funny, actually. I just love how big a deal they made free trade and wilderness returning. A giant publicity stunt, all planned, and it greatly bit them in the ass. Lawl.

wow epic ---------------------------------------- lolwut? spam much? If that's an actual email from jagex, someone is trying to recover your account. Change your recovery questions and put a bank pin on your account. They are e-mails which lead to a phishing site.

Jagex... Create detection algorithms? You really think they could do that? We have new hacks out for games that have companies like PunkBuster and HackShield which are dedicated to trying to detect our DLL injection... And ours are undetected 30 seconds after an update. Lol. Not only that, but your assuming every bot uses the same method of injection, which I assure you they don't. As I said before, not every bot uses IDs. Even if they managed to change the IDs, it'd only be a short matter of time before the bot developers found a way around it. And going back to my previous point... Bots are easily created without using IDs and models.

L0l! it's a game. You can't charge young teens real life money for getting a computer to play a game for them. Also bots do bring something to the game, you must not realise the scale of botting. How much do you think sharks would be if they wern't botted? Or herbs? Or infinity robes? Those things take hours in game but cost relatively little because thousands of people bot them. Jagex realises that there needs to be bots, that's probably why they reduced their punishments. But then you get the skillers saying, "It's losing me moneys because I fish, woodcut, etc!" ...When really, there's nothing stopping them from coming to Nex, Bandos, or staking like the rest of us. Or the price of raw materials could skyrocket and skilling could actually make money like it was designed to? And 99's would retain some value? RuneScape is combat based. It always has been. Those that refuse to accept that and [bleep] about not having as much money deserve it. [/high] Oh, so because you have a low total/high combat it automatically has always been based on combat? Only the last couple years it's been leaning towards a combat game because skillings profits have all been dying because of the bots (I remember when I use to make 1.2m an hr rcing in 2008 now it's 550k an hr max). RuneScape is a sandbox game you have the freedom to do whatever you want and that's why I love it. I personally favor non combat skills to combat ones but I still train slayer every now and then. Wait wait wait... I have a low total? I have a mere 4 99s left. Two of those I can get within 48 hours if I wanted. As No_M0re said, who joins a game because, "Omg, I can fish and woodcut and mine!"
