In North Carolina, the bathroom portion of the bill was a smokescreen used to hide the gratuitous erosion of worker protections. It's frustrating that bathrooms are the primary focus. No localized minimum wage increases (because Raleigh/Charlotte/Durham has the same cost of living as Rural McCraptown), can't use the state courts for anti-discrimination cases, and no civil rights protections beyond the bare minimum (race/sex/religion/disability/etc; not sexual orientation, or other status) throughout the entire state. Admittedly those agreeing the bathroom provision are wrong. Sexual assault, obscentity, and such are already illegal; the creation of this law is equivalent to forcing saucepans to remain in the kitchen because there's a chance someone could use a saucepan to beat you to death. Assault and murder are illegal already, and saucepans are not used as murder weapons by any measurable quantity, so why make it harder for chefs and cooks? Not to mention it appears women and girls are the only victims of the faux-transgender predator, because there's never any discussion over women using men's restrooms. What about men and boys?! And transgendered people are victims of sexual assault at much higher rates than the normal population, but let's forget about that as well! Regardless, the rest of the bill negatively affects everyone in this state. (To be honest, I'd have no problems with unisex bathrooms if the population at large was barely functional. I worked as a janitor as well, and the women's bathrooms were always worse. But when 100% of some 200+ drivers are unable to handle a traffic jam near an intersection, I question how this world functions when people are just so terrible at functioning.)

It runs better on the majority of hardware at equivalent rendering settings compared to the Java client. Minimum specs are always poor references. Setups with old integrated/weak GPUs (anything prior to 2013? 2012?), low-end/low-power CPUs (cheap laptops), minimal RAM (less than 4GB) or video RAM (less than 1GB?) will have problems. As well, older GPU drivers will not help. NXT runs better than Java on my older setup on medium-high graphics, an i7 920 with a 9800 GTX+, and has no issues running on all Ultra (except SSAO, but that's expected) on my current setup (i5-4670 and GTX 560 Ti).

Do you mean his prose is terrible, or his storytelling (including characterization) is terrible? I agree if it's the former, but I find most modern prose terrible so that's moot. If it's the latter, then I have to disagree very much.

New season of Game of Thrones. It's now largely ahead of the books. I thought it was, in one word, good.

I'm 10 this year! Ugh, elementary school sucks. Can't wait for middle school, yeah! Games being associated with "kids" is silly. As a critic and person C. S. Lewis had the right notion: "childish" is a term more associated with children wanting to be adults, rather than adults doing things kids also enjoy. Also his reader-response criticism method is one of the only forms of literary criticism that isn't genuinely absurd; he could be a horrible person and I'd value him greatly just for that, but luckily he's a bit more deep than that.

Search terms as a popularity metric isn't very fitting. Twitch activity for RuneScape (OSRS and RS3) is very lively, and so is YouTube. The RuneScape subreddits are also rather active (~800 users there now [10:00 PM EST]--compare that to, say, /r/programming [a much larger, but still generally niche subreddit] with ~800 users as well). The game's population is usually above 40k, peaking at 80k during the day (and botting is much less of an issue in RS3--botting contributed tens-of-thousands years ago at a minimum). RuneScape is just smaller. That's all. (Unless you also agree 2016 is the year of the Linux desktop--then ok, RuneScape is really dying this time!)

Adaptive would use G-Sync (Nvidia) / FreeSync (AMD) to adjust the refresh rate on compatible monitors to match the refresh rate of the game, reducing the jarring effects of FPS drops.

First rare drop from Heart of Gielinor: Last kill of the instance too! Nice surprise... 150ish Vindicta & Gorvek kills (350ish HoG bosses killed in total). Maxed reputation and finally got some better PvM-things (Dominion tower gloves, Dreadnips, and Asylum surgeon ring). Hoping to get the Gorvek pet. I want a dragon pet, but dislike all of them (boss and otherwise) save for Rawrvek.

You sound like you need a drink The lot of you sound like you need rehab. As someone who periodically becomes completely detached from objective reality, and am otherwise unsure if my experiences are true or not, the pervasiveness of irresponsible drinking makes it seem like most take soberness for granted. I value being lucid more than most, or so I'd guess.

How many more pages of discussion about the wonders of alcohol can we have? It's been so wonderful hearing about the admiral choice of various levels of drunkenness! I do wish I could only be so wise to reject responsibility and take soberness for granted! And who needs a functioning liver or pancreas or esophagus anyway? Cleaning up vomit is sure a blast, too! Woo! Also I made pizza. Exchanged one cup of bread flour for one cup whole wheat flour and it went fine. Not better, but not worse--just different. Two 16in pizzas for about $10... So tasty and so cheap. Normally make three medium pizzas (12in or so) with thinner crusts, but I badly misjudged the ball when I cut it. Between my brother and me, we have half a pizza a day. Mmmm, pizza.

I suppose I was a bit lucky--I spent ~1.4m per for the Sliske bits, and ~1m per for the Seren ones--when I got my Zarosian set (for cosmetic purposes). (About the fights...) I very much hate Helwyr's fight, especially the mechanic (or glitch?) that makes him stop spawning wolves. The bleed mechanic is dull and I can't begin to explain how much I hate the mushrooms. He's just a grating chore. Greg is a bit food heavy, compared to the Twin Furies or Vindicta, and a bit harder, but I think he's the best mechanically. Twin Furies and Vindicta are tied, I suppose. (And Vindicta + Gorvek looks the best. The transition when Vindicta begins riding... Wonderful!)

I spent the morning and afternoon to create a write-up about the objective quality of equipment textures in the game-that-must-not-be-mentioned-in-my-OT. It was interesting getting my homebrew GPU dumping/debugging tool working again and modifying the dump viewer to annotate areas that use the minifying/magnifying functions. So thus I served a greater purpose, for posterity*. (*: I rather like certain phrases in Bloodborne. No mercy for the elderly.)

To get a Zaros Anima set, I bought three crests since I had the other bits. Only required the crest + armor piece to make the unrefined/dormant set. The refined set required 6 of each essence (1x each for helm, 2x each for legs, and 3x each for body), though.

The one and only The last thing I did on RS, wonder what my return on investment is today 25x (3.6b or so). Incredibly better than the S&P 500, by comparison, in the same period. By not playing, you made over 1m gp/day, which is far better than all worthwhile dailies combined.

Frozen fruits are fine (and indeed, smoothies are good!), but fresh veggies are so good with hot meals. Roasted spinach, or broccoli, or asparagus... :( I love those with a meat and something else (macaroni and cheese or mashed potatoes or such). And then there's salad and so much else that require fresh vegetables.

Speaking of groceries, I haven't been able to get to the store for a month for various reasons. When I'm better, I'm going to stock up on dry goods (pasta, rice, canned tomatoes, flours, etc), meats (beef and chicken mostly), and certain somewhat freezable perishables (non-fancy store-bought cheese, milk). At least one month worth if I would be unable to buy more. I hate not being able to cook nearly more than I hate having to clean up afterwards... Depressing I can't stock up on fresh vegetables. Oh well.

Just going off of the image, it's a serious contender for FashionScape. That's the only endgame that matters. The new dungeon is amazing for FashionScape. The Zarosian armor is simply amazing: No longer am I a whimsical navigator--I'm now a Pontifex of Zaros. The would-be gods and other enemies of Zaros will meet their end and Zaros will guide Gielinor into an age of prosperity once he ascends to elder godhood. In the mean time, I shall preach the will of Zaros... with blood. (The lance is amazing, too, but has a terrible hold stance. So unless [or until?] that's fixed, I'm using Arrav's sword for a two-handed override.)
