I don't get that kind of response though. Black people in America always seem to be so proud of being black, their heritage, etc. But the moment you ask them something actually significant, or meaningful, they find it offensive. I understand what you're saying, because even i wouldn't ask a black person from America what tribe they're from. I just don't understand why it's an offensive thing to ask. Do white people get offended if they're asked what their roots are? I get that a nationality isn't a tribe, but it kind of is. So if someone asks me if i'm half English/Scottish/German/whatever, do i get offended? Should i? Just doesn't make sense to me. "I'm proud to be black/indian, but don't ask me anything about it ever." The majority of black Americans would only be able to trace their family to their ancestors which were slaves. No further. That's not a problem among most white Americans. Even the most poorly treated white immigrants did not lose their own identity, or their family name, or their culture, on any historically significant scale. And yet even though slavery was abolished 150 years ago, black Americans have faced incredible hardship that affects millions and millions even today. The failure of the reconstruction efforts, Jim Crow laws, state-instituted segregation and oppression, and racism (including organized, violent attacks against individuals, families, and communities). Several laws and policies enforced today are simply "Jim Crow light", including disastrous drug policies and "tough on crime" policies (which are ineffective and actually more damaging to communities than a sane justice/criminal system and rational legislation, but oh well). You're confusing political correctness with empathy and courtesy. The latter is humanist, the former is worthless.

15th February 2016 - New Quest - Nomad’s Elegy | Sliske’s Countdown Begins
Quest was good. Nomad fight (fights?) were too easy, though. I only died a few times because I couldn't be bothered to bring decent armor and a beast of burden... Even still, not remotely comparable to Nomad's Requiem (excluding the cheesy Kyatt method found soon after release and the easification brought on by Evolution of Combat).

What happened to these forums?
Yes, this would be the issue sadly. To be brutally honest, all forums I've been a part of since early 2000s have bled a ton of users to social media and specialized discussion formats. There is nothing Tip.it could have done. It's like complaining no one uses Usenet (outside of piracy) anymore. Or mailing lists are becoming obsolete with issue trackers and other tools... Discussion formats evolve with advances in technology. It's simple as that.

I've found Wi-Fi on Windows 7 to be a bit silly sometimes, for whatever reason. You should check what connections you have (it's somewhere in the control panel, it'll list your various wireless and wired connections). You might want to delete any bizarre connections and reconnect... Worse comes to worse you could just use a VPN to some trusted source (e.g., a desktop you possess). It's a necessity, in honesty, if you ever use any public Wi-Fi... In other news, I watched Macbeth (the recent 2015 one) and thought it was great. I never liked traditional Shakespeare adaptations with modern costume/setting--it always felt ridiculous and tradition is a poor excuse. The trailer I saw many, many months ago also introduced me to Swans...

Today...
I have finished cleaning my home. I thought I would be done by Saturday... nope. Then Monday... How wrong I was. I stayed up nearly 30 hours from Tuesday to Wednesday, spent the majority of it cleaning. Nearly done that Wednesday night, and I finally finished today. It is so clean and organized. It's beautiful. I still have a few non-important things left, like sort lEGO bricks (rather than have them in a few bins), but that's for another day.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
yeah dude pictures of things that you can send people are THE WORST I don't have a font that can display emojis, so I just see the "missing unicode character" symbol (a rectangle with a hex number inside). 1F602 is the best!

Is it really that hard? People die all the time... Except most people who die don't have even a fragment of the influence of <pick notable person who died recently [e.g., David Bowie]>, and hence the passing of more famous individuals can impart a greater feeling of grief (as in, more people are impacted and in turn feel some sort of sadness). ... As for today, I'm going to finish the larger cleaning projects in my home today. I've attempted it several times since my mom passed, but things got in the way each time. The otherwise unimportant event of the water heating committing sudoku last month probably forced my hand... Thankfully, it was mostly complete disorganization and sorting through old stuff, not actual filth. Tossed so much stuff. It's mostly done--just a bedroom and a closet or two left. The kitchen, living room, both bedrooms in use (i.e., my brother's and mine), and the bathroom are good to go. After I'm done today, there's still a few things I have to do, though. Mostly organizing stuff... more optimally, I guess? Going to turn the spare bedroom into a storage/hobby room for things like books/movies/music, computer parts/tools... and LEGO bricks/sets. Going to sort the pieces by type and store them in nice drawers/bins. They're currently sorted by color in once-translucent bags, but on hindsight sorting by color is incredibly silly since finding the type of piece and then looking for a certain color would be much more efficient...

Chaotic Weapons - Any worth owning anymore?
Chaotic staff is outright superior to Virtus wand and book because of Sonic Wave (buffs the next attack with +10% accuracy). The five second cooldown means you could use it before most powerful thresholds to surpass the Wand + Book on any monster you don't have 100% accuracy on (which would be quite a few).

Does 07 or eoc have a higher player count?
Jagex doesn't cater to the "efficiency" or "meta dweebs." (And I don't see what's wrong with "efficiency." I'm not efficient, in a larger sense, when I play RuneScape, except when it comes to killing Tormented Demons as efficiently as possible. I have spent a long time determining non-obvious mechanics and finding the best ability rotations. Not to mention testing a wide range of equipment and other combat equipment [like auras]... This includes making a "simulator" [i.e., implementing an accurate, high-level view of the RuneScape combat system] to quickly test equipment/rotations/etc for validity. If I hadn't I wouldn't have managed be on the way to reaching 170 KPH, and by far not even have managed to average 150+ KPH with great certainty. I sure took the fun out of it?)

Open carry and gun law discussion
The FBI (or other agencies) don't track mental illness rates with homicides, but it's more likely (as a mentally ill person) to be a victim of gun violence than to perpetuate it. It could be argued that mass shooters have a higher rates of mental illness, but mass shootings are a fraction of total gun homicides (let alone deaths). Suicides, in fact, are the leading cause of gun-related deaths, and a large portion of them are veterans of the military (and police officers, I think?). The horrible stigmas about mental illness propagated even by so-called progressive members of society is incredibly disgusting and why at most I say I have a health issue (mental health issue if I have to clarify) that impacts my life, because saying "unspecified schizophrenic spectrum disorder" or "psychotic illness" or whatever else cause a much less desirable effect, as if I'm some monster or animal. Which is funny, because I find it grating when there's calls for psychological tests for guns, but a whimper of progress regarding the horrid state of mental health treatment in this country. Like Republicans/conservatives saying there's lots of homeless/needy people here we can't help so we shouldn't help refugees--well, no duh, you're the reason welfare services suck because you're against helping the homeless/needy! As far as guns are concerned, it's a dangerous game restricting them upon the complex nature of the second amendment. The safest route would be repealing it (and it would be something I support if citizens were given broader rights to holding elected officials and the government itself accountable, but that's not going to happen anytime soon...), so sensible, effective, and rational legislation is needed instead. Because otherwise, depending on how precedent is made (e.g., whatever flavor of judge [even at the Supreme Court level] you find that vomit your party's rhetoric [though to be fair judges, even the most conservative of them, tend to be much more objective in any remotely important courts than what their political views may indicate]), you could find the other, much more valuable rights like the first (free speech/press/religion/assembly) and fourth (limitation of surveillance/searching via warrants and judicial review) and fifth (self-incrimination) amendment and others, assuming it's in the name of greater public good or whatever else and thus could apply to these in the legal court or political opinions of voters. Not to mention a lot of legislation is ineffective or pointless (like "assault weapons," a term created to target superficial features of weapons that look scary and are marginally more dangerous, if at all, than handguns or rifles or shotguns). If a weapon can be banned simply because it looks scary or because criminals will use it, then we might as well restrict/regulate/neuter encryption (which was regulated by the government as a weapon!) because it's scary and can be used by criminals...

I had a severe psychotic break (maybe the worst I've had yet) a couple days ago. I thought about calling emergency services, but then I had no idea what they would do. First concern was being killed by a police officer, second was being involuntarily committed, third was the call being intercepted and federal agents being sent instead... So I didn't call them and suffered for several hours until my brother got home and I felt a bit safer. Going to discuss this with my therapist, since I have an appointment tomorrow. Such an issue has never occurred before (i.e., the severe break and my being home completely alone at night [or some other unfamiliar/unsettling situation, like say being in public]; at most it was two of the three).

And he could license his public code under something like the GPL or even some "shared source" license like some of Microsoft's academic stuff (so non-commercial use is explicitly prohibited). To be honest, it's probably more valuable to have code in a portfolio than to actually use it commercially. There's a legal jungle when it comes to actually releasing code commercial that too many developers overlook. Patents, copyrights, proper attributing/licensing of third-party code/libraries/tools, and civil/criminal liability are very real. Whoever has the better lawyer wins these types of cases, and even tiny corporations will be able to field a better lawyer than an average Joe.

Did a quick trip to finally have over 30,000 killcount in-game. Also had another limb drop, so 171 limbs total, har.

Haha, thanks :P. My "long-term" goal in RuneScape is 120 defense (18.2m xp), 120 constitution (35.7m xp), 120 range (45m xp), 120 magic (51.1m xp), and 200m summon xp (lots of charms and shards and gp and a weekend at Taverly on a double XP weekend). It would take about 47,000 more kills to achieve all these goals. That's ~320 hours (assuming 150 KPH, though I'm incredibly rusty and could probably get upwards of 165 KPH with some refinements, which would save me ~40 hours). That would be ~188 more dragon limbs and claws... I only play a couple hours a week at most nowadays, so not likely anytime soon. Shorter-but-still-long-term goal is to get 60,000 killcount. But at that point I'd be over 60% of the way to the long-term goal...

I have a degree in numbers from Internet Uni, so Tormented Demons are now 36m gp/hr. Not bad! (Since June 2014, I've killed over 42,000 Tormented Demons and gotten 170 dragon limbs, 169 dragon claws, 41 slices, 33 shards, and 41 lumps. Nearly 30,000 killcount in game--154 short...)

Here's some unsolicited advice: In my case, I'd love to spend another Christmas with my mom (well, assuming she's in good health/not suffering). Unless you have a terrible relationship with your parents, appreciate it while you can. I'll be spending Christmas with my brother. We didn't decorate, or much of anything, really. Going to put a decent chicken in a crockpot and have chicken with homemade mac & cheese and some roasted spinach. I got him a few gifts (still waiting on Uncharted [the first one for the PS3] since the local stores didn't have it) and stuffed them in a gift bag. It's not supposed to be rainy, either, and it's going to be pretty warm which is better than rainy at any temperature. Also, yesterday I went to the DMV and got a license plate for my scooter. I was in and out in 10 minutes... That was surprising. The license plate also has the right numbers/letters clustered together to vaguely spell ditto (well, better put, something like "D1770") but alas, I'll settle for an anagram.

I make pizza once a month about. Similar to New York style pizza. From scratch, the dough makes 4 medium (~12-inch) pizzas. End result? Delicious dough with homemade tomato sauce, topped with mozzarella, pepperoni, diced red onions, and pickled banana peppers. The dough has a crispy shell and chewy interior. The sauce is simple, but great. Cheese melts well (12 minutes at 500 degrees) and compliments the other toppings. I don't care much for any popular pizza joints. Papa John's, Domino's, Pizza Hut, whatever; it's like a decent fast food burger compared to a homemade, properly prepped 1/2 pound beef chuck patty on a great bun and toppings. The latter is much more preferable, even if the former is ok or good. (This is jut my opinion. My brother, for example, just likes cheese pizza--no toppings, at all. So I make two cheese pizzas and two of the aforementioned pizzas. And then we have pizza as a dinner for 4 days...)

There's a difference between "having a different opinion" and not understanding/arguing the validity of otherwise pointless opinions. You can't debate the superiority of entertainment, just like you can't debate the superiority or lack thereof of colors or tastes or sounds. My opinion on the movie is mine and has no affect on the greater world... It's a personal taste, but also meaningless. Simply put, it's more of a matter of how one frames his or her statements. I think The Force Awakens is superior. I'm not going to feign puzzlement at why you have your opinion, and it's not remotely difficult for me to think or understand others will have different opinions... However, on rereading the posts, it seems I take statements at face value. I don't think your statement ("I don't know how you can say it is better than the originals.") was supposed to be taken literally. Sorry about that.

(I edited my post with more info, but you've posted since. Anyway, read that first if you care.) At the end of the day, you like it less than I do. This isn't an issue with a "right" or "wrong," so simply put: we have different opinions. I'm not going to spend any more time defending my opinion...

I don't know how you can say it's average. Well, I can, actually--we're different people and have different opinions. Example: I don't enjoy most popular fiction, but I know plenty do. At the same time, I quite enjoy heavier olden literary works, and I understand why many would not. Spoilers, for those haven't watched it yet: I can understand why you don't like it. Your points are valid to some arguable degree--but they aren't issues in my opinion, and are much the opposite. Spoilers again:

I agree at this point. This is going to be the first movie I watch at least twice at a theater. Also, I bought a Honda Metropolitan (2015 model) today. Various planets aligned and it was finally possible. It's going to be delivered tomorrow (in the morning) and I'll have to get a tag next week. Ugh, DMV... I had a Kymco Agility 50 some time ago, but it ended up being a moneypit (I bought it used). The Metropolitan is not only new, I made sure to get an extended warranty. I never want to worry about getting stuck out in the middle of nowhere...
