if you could find someone to trust then you could skull on them with your only item being the bow, let them kill you they, they pick the bow up as a seed and trade it back to you. Then you repeat once you've recharged.

I have one and im not sure how long it took to get one however the game is very enjoyable if you have a good team, and took me ~ 3 days to get mastered in all and penance gloves and torso. I definetly think that the extra str bonus is worth it as i use when slaying and it is still as easy to heal with guthan so why not use it.
