No more Bonus XP weekends
It's good they announced it on time. I'm looking forward to events like double dungeoneering and hati, but I'd prefer items that weren't tied to being member for a specified period of time, more on playing certain content during a number of months.

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected
You gave an example that supported my argument. You think gay marriage is a good thing, so you want to legislate it. Lolno. I want to un-legislate it, remote the clause that says only a man and a woman can marry, make the law less restrictive. It's 100% the conservatives who are limiting the freedom of the people on this issue. Anyway, nothing can support your argument because it's an unverifyable (made-up) statement only made to play on the feelings of the reader (specifically the conservative reader because nobody else would be convinced anyway. Compare: every theologist ever trying to prove the existence of God). It'd be nice if you came with actual content-based arguments why social security is bad.

What to do with my old zerker
I'm not a pker but I think that zerker needs a lot more mage level since pps is currently a standard dps weapon for zerkers (iirc). 70 attack is probably worth upgrading to 80 I think. Other than that, turmoil. In the combat beta you'll still be reasonably effective I think, rune has 4-5k lp boost compared to torva + divine at 7-8k boost, which isn't too bad considering you save 35+ combat levels. You have access to all the good offensive ultimates. Of course this can be changed, it's only a beta, but for now there's no need to go main if you don't feel like it. In the beta, polypore is currently very weak but ice barrage is extremely powerful. Gear: torso/fcape/zerker helm/rune boots/rune defender etc., proselyte, void deflector, third-age range/mage if you're really bored/awesome. Chaotic rapier if getting 80 attack. Polypore staff. Barrows gloves. To make money, farm herbs, manage Miscellania, maybe work on unlocking some dailies like red sandstone (83 mine/87 craft or something).

Thanks :). I'll try... ~120m xp to go, of which 80m+ dg :P. Yeah :/. I profit 300-400k per run I think, I don't keep track very much. Now with remote farm I've already saved a million in torstol (one day lol).

Mage Training at Ape Atoll
Akrisae's hood has one less mage attack for 4 prayer bonus, the rest Ahrim's is probably best. Void mage is a bit worse, I don't recall the exact amount but you can approximate the difference by multiplying the mage attack bonus with void by 1.3 and adding 64*.3, and comparing that to the mage attack without void. You lose hood/legs/shield/gloves, totalling 53 mage attack (48 with mage's book instead of arcane). Works out to 198 vs. 145*1.3, which is 188,5, which is a difference of 5%. You also gain only 1 prayer bonus (arc+Akrisae hood vs. elite void top&legs).

Powerslaying Block List
Don't say that vyres are a common task when they're not. I assume that data was gathered at 99 slayer only? Vyres and lower strykes should be more common at lower levels afaik. Anyway, looking at that list, vyres would not be a block, you're right there. But your suggested block list including dark beasts and ice strykes is pretty inaccurate too :P. Also, has the suggestion that relative task frequencies are affected by blocks been researched yet?

Mage Training at Ape Atoll
Void mage isn't very good, but it does have a good prayer bonus. I'd use Akrisae + Ahrim's over void, but if you don't have that, void works fine. Sol > cstaff naturally. Otherwise just mix prayer bonus and mage attack with arcstream. Xp/hr should be 350-400k. 1100-1200 casts (1200 theoretical max). About 50m? 60m? Smoke is alright, more so for lobsters (because poison doesn't give xp, it's not useful for skeles, but extra kills at lobs means more charms). Blood is very expensive, shadow less so but still much more than ice.

Best POH layout?
@Deathlord: The most important rooms are the chapel, menagerie and teleports (2x portal & quest hall). Nobody uses studies or kitchens and you certainly don't need to run between portal and kitchen very often (butler service). Workshops require very little banking too, as you recharge armour maybe twice a month. The idea of that design is that you run east for summoning restore, south for prayer restore, then west/northwest/twice west for the teleport you need. It's the most efficient setup for slayer and bossing.

Temple Trekking - Smiddi and Rolayne
I suggest you check out Sinkhan's guide here. Personally, I rushed the hardest paths that didn't have annoying events with Rolayne (he predicts from level 20) and with Smiddi 92+. For Smiddi pre-92 I did hard paths, for the rewards mostly. Setup: max void melee offence equipped Blisterwood polearm, ee, salve (e) in inventory Titan summoned Scrolls for titan, overloads, few pray pots Ourobouros pouch, bonecruncher, herbicide Sacks of cabbage (10) for sick travellers event Feed monkfish or similar to followers, you don't need food for yourself

Powerslaying Block List
Fire giants are not the first on the skip list, that's still jungle/desert strykes and spiritual mages. And vyres are pretty common, I've had 7 tasks (equal to nechryael!) going from 93-99 and they were only introduced halfway. Just because wyverns are rare doesn't mean they are worth doing... it means they aren't worth blocking. You won't lose many points skipping them, and the slayer xp is really low (under 35k/hr last I checked).

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected
That's another made-up thing, the difference between conservatives and progressives is that (extreme) conservatives don't want any personal freedom in the area of abortion, gay marriage etc. whereas progressives do. See what I did? You keep acting as if 'the goverment' has a will of its own separate from 'the people'. That's not how it works. A goverment is a human construct and ultimately just there to enforce those things that we know we want/are good for us (marriage administration, for instance, or regulation of water supply) but that we couldn't manage as individuals. The goverment and the associated democratic institutes are tools for expressing your opinion and making your decision, and if you don't accept that it's/can be there for you you're just being defiant for no reason because you think it looks cool .

Powerslaying Block List
Ice strykes and dark beasts are worth it, being around 50k xp/hr (dark beasts little more, ice strykes little less), wyverns are a lot slower and less profitable than strykes afaik. Fire giants are 50k xp/hr and up as well. Jungle and desert strykes are better blocks, and vyres are pretty common too, so replace polypore with vyres when you get ganodermics.

11-Jul-2012 - Social Slayer & Gielinor Games Preparation
Buying things for the sake of spending points makes little sense unless there's a cap on how many co-op points you can have at once. If they work as slayer points do, then there's truly no reason to buy a perk that offers no tangible benefit at this time; come September, it'll be a different story when herblore reqs are enforced to drink buffing pots though. At this time, there's no reason to buy it other than the sake of spending points. Better to save the points for the undoubtedly better perks released later on, just as many did when it came to the loyalty shop. See I'm of the other stance on point usage. What is the point in saving something opposed to spending it when there is no reason or benefit to saving it, where as there is some sort of benefit (albeit kinda lame one) to spending it. 1) There is no benefit to buying the potion sharing thing unless you specificall want to unlock every single ability in the game or something. In which case an evaluation of the usefulness of said abilities isn't relevant to how you spend your points anyway. 2) There is a benefit to saving points, based on precedence. New ways to spend points get added sometimes (for regular slayer points, this is aquanites, ice strykes w/o cape ability, additional block slot etc.). New ways to use old abilities very rarely get added - Jagex doesn't like buffing useless abilities very much, or if they do it takes more than a year to process. @Alg: Is that guy in the back using abs and no fire cape  ?

Er, assuming that means you average 72.5 seconds a kill, the math says get around 0.16 kph more then her... that doesn't seem very significant >_> Yes, I use a titan. And 33k/40m is about 72.7 seconds per kill, as Squab calculated, but that does include looting (which I don't do while killing the next because I tend to require ss flashing). My fastest kill is around 45-50 seconds, I just rarely get it right every time due to lag. Got comboed for 1200 damage today during a 5 second lag spike. Not the first time that's happened either. Yay for bonfires I guess :P. Right, done :P. Sap saves prayer, dds spec saves the same amount of time compared to rapier no matter what. Which is to say, enduring doesn't have high defence, just a straight % reduction, and you likely won't have overkill if you spec at full health.

P2P armor setup--low budget
With the Evolution of Combat messing up prices, it's all a bit uncertain, but Verac's armour (top and legs only) is a good investment for less than 1m. Your helmet/cape/ring/gloves indicate you have quite a few quests/diaries/things that need doing so I would work on that first. Specifically, you'll want to complete: Recipe for Disaster (all subquests & boss fight) for Culinaromancer gloves 10 (barrows gloves). Fremennik Isles (Helmet of Neitiznot). Either Fight Caves (fire cape), Nomad's Requiem (Soul Wars cape) or the Ardougne diary 3+ (Ardougne cloak). The Elder Kiln for the tokkul-zo ring. Although the ring of wealth is probably alright for fighting very low defence things, e.g. training.

Except that any sane slayer would be using potions of their own, and repotting far before the boost reaches half.

Looks like a simple update, entirely for the ease of getting slayer tasks together and not for the rewards. That's good.

How to fund 94-99 ranged? (pure)
If you're killing frost dragons that slowly, you probably need to use better bolts (runite preferred), use more ranging potions and pray eagle eye at all times (get the level for that). @AHappySeeker: If you think that you should explain the concept or not post.

Slayer
Lapalok generally has smaller tasks afaik, and Kuradal's dungeon is the most efficient way to do abyssals and possibly also iron and steel dragons, not to mention Kuradal being closer to a teleport, and that you get more points resulting in more skips. Overall, the most obvious advantages seem to be with Kuradal. Edit: This is my standard slayer post, it's focused on powerslaying at medium-to-high levels, so it assumes you have all 70-80 stats with 200+ quest points: [hide]The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Steadfast/Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender (rune defender) Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet (Slayer helmet, black mask) [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +10 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +20 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, black dragon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 70 prayer and King's Ransom - piety 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it.[/hide]

200M in all Skills
He's been spotted at Livid Farm apparently.
