Money-making through PvM
South-east spot, lure the westernmost spawn behind the rocks and alternate between the mid and east spawns. No lures just massacre.

A Barrows Newb
1) Mage everything but Ahrim. 2) Melee Ahrim. 3) Switch between melee and magic for Akrisae (if you did the quest). 4) Wear melee chest, legs and helm with a defender and the rest magic attack/damage boosting items. 5) Bring a whip and amulet of fury/glory in your inventory (glory as a switch for arcane stream necklace). 6) Bring 1 prayer potion per overload dose. You can last for however long you have those two potions left. 7) Heal with soul split. Tank Guthan, Verac and Akrisae. 8) Do not kill Torag if you can kill Akrisae. 9) Don't get kill count unless you need to heal a lot and have spare prayer.

Fight Cave advice
The best way is probably to melee the caves, you can range Jad or melee Jad, range being easier typically. Wear a mix of offence-boosting gear (defender, whip, fury/glory, dragon boots, barrows gloves etc.) and defensive gear with prayer bonus (Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak, Verac's etc.). The only monsters in the entire caves (ignoring Jad) to use magic attacks are the 360s and you pray on those anyway, so magic defence is no issue whatsoever. That's the nice thing about melee, that you have an extra 100 ranged defence. Melee is also a lot more damaging than ranged which means monsters are alive for less time and it all goes a bit faster (= need less healing and prayer for the entire caves). When you melee the 360s you don't really want to stand next to them and be attacked by melee. Luckily you can easily avoid that by standing 1 square away. You click attack at the moment they lift their tails to mage, then immediately move away again. This way they die as quickly as with straight-up meleeing but you take no damage. Guthan's is not at all neccesary for this method, it's slow and you don't need that much healing anyway. I would recommend bringing Enhanced Excalibur for specials. 4-6 Saradomin brews and super restores. 2 combat potions or something (not sure if you want 2 combat pots or 2 super strengths, it's not going to be huge either way), the rest prayer potions.

Barrows
Although even Karil has fairly low magic defence I wouldn't recommend maging him even with Storm of Armadyl, unless you're wearing Virtus or something. I think Storm is slower on Ahrim and equal to rapier on Karil.

Some questions
1) Greenfingers is pretty good if you farm herbs for money. 2) The damage increase from a rapier compared to a whip is greater at lower attack levels. Every other level doesn't affect it, though defence might affect what strength-boosting gear you can equip. 3) I typically use the higher of the two resizable resolution limits as compromise between being able to see across rooms and loading times. 4) They are equal to/better than sharks when paired with enhanced excalibur (4 doses for 100% special which is 200 or 400 lp). I've used them for healing in Pyramid Plunder, slayer in Kuradal's, Barrows etc. They are also used at Nex and Bandos god wars. In safe pvp they are crucial for double korasi specials or korasi > claw comboes etc. 5) It depends on whether you like to camp miths or not, in general I'd say make 200-300 which is plenty for 99 slayer. Super prayers aren't worth it. 6) I'm not sure, I believe one vine takes 30 seconds or so?

Need Advice!
The game has changed a lot, if I recall the time when construction was released correctly. Xp rates are much higher (for example all fishing xp got a straight 20% xp boost with urns) and effigies are 130k+ xp in a single drop. It's easy to hit 500s or 600s in combat, on some monsters even 1000s (double damage fire surge on ice strykes).

Tormented Demons
Dragon claws are annoying as hell to use, your shield goes all over your inventory. Brews are also extremely damaging to your magic dps as well as costly. That's why I prefer to not use them, though claws can probably be good. If you get 50 kph in that gear, you should definitely move to the south-east spot :P.

Frosts vs. DKS
Frosts drop effigies, so that's one thing to consider. I believe dks at the top notch are better money, but frosts scale down better. You can't use void for tribriding sadly, as you will at times have Supreme and Prime on you, which really requires 300+ ranged defence to comfortably tank.

Barrows
I would use something like this: You melee Karil with turmoil and deflect ranged (piety and protect ranged), Ahrim with turmoil and soul split (piety and protect mage) and Akrisae with turmoil and soul split (piety and protect melee) using Korasi's sword specials when he prays melee. You need special recovers to spec twice per Akrisae. You mage Dharok, Verac and Guthan. You can heal with soul split on Guthan and Verac, but not on Dharok unless you want to risk being hit for over 500 damage. Without special recovers you will need to mage + melee hybrid Akrisae. Before pps this used to be pretty annoying (autocast and stuff) but with pps it's really easy. Without overloads you will lose a lot of your magic level boost. You need magic damage boosts on Guthan, Dharok and Verac (and perhaps Akrisae too), so do all those in a row and repot after 2 tombs. Pot up attack and strength for Karil and Ahrim. If you do not want to get void/rapier etc. you can use whip and Bandos or something. If you feel you use too much prayer to last on one full charge, you can use an ice spell to freeze the brother in place while you farcast. This also saves health on Verac.

Tormented Demons
First of all, no offence but that setup is pretty bad for range/melee as well. Try using a stat-boosting ring, hand cannon and chaotic rapier + defender. For melee/mage: Have titan summoned. 60 kph and up.

A Very Barrows New Year
It's all very green, I prefer a grey/brown look but yeah :/. The only big thing that needed fixing at barrows, that is, the doors you can't open if someone else is using them, still aren't fixed.

Slayer as a combat skill?
I would like to be able to use & see extremes in the wilderness. But perhaps more like summoning, e.g. it shows up but doesn't affected combat level. Something simple like "+ [potion icon] " behind your combat level if you're carrying an extreme pot, overload or spec recover. To balance the KO power of weapons and high dps of cheap things like Korasi's and whips I'd suggest soak/damage reduction in some form (increasing current soak values by 50% (except on gano)), along with lp boosts on more armour and maybe constitution potions (incl. extreme variants of course).

120 Constitution?
Not many people get 104m in a stat because theres no incentive to, and they are limited to level 99 and below methods and speeds. I stopped training strength once i got 99. If the cap was 120, i'd be shooting towards that instead of training things like defense, doubly so if doing so unlocked a new weapon. Near maxed players do the same, but instead they replace their next skill to train to something they dislike but must do for the sake of completion. You're obsessed with maxing, you shouldn't be. 120 being the level cap doesn't mean you must grind to level 120 instantly. You can go to 110 and enjoy half of the new high level content, get 120 if it suits you. It won't effect you if you don't decide to train, other than pvp and competitive bossing, but the first is fair and the second is how competitive bossing has always been. Your current objections are basically the same as a low level saying 80 should be the level cap, because you personally don't want to get 99. That's selfish and anti-progress. You're telling me I'm 'obsessed with maxing' and shouldn't be? You dare suggest you know how this game should be played? That's either very arrogant or very silly. Besides you're totally focussed on strength . The point is that 'getting 110' isn't fun. Not being able to reach content ever, really never ever, that's very discouraging. Not being able to compete is very discouraging. Already lots of people feel that 120 dungeoneering is just way out of reach (especially when dging with w117/w77). 99 runecrafting, or even just 91, is a dream for casual players. You can't just assume everybody who plays this game wishes for the grind to be infinite. Sure there is a tiny fraction of the people who wants hundreds of millions of xp past 99. That fraction will grow massively if you introduce 120s. There will be people who will be awed by the people getting 120s (but perhaps not even more than the current 'virtual' 120s, we can't tell of course). But the main body of RS players will not go for 120 or 'just 110'. And people will feel it's unfair that someone with no job and literally no life can have so much of an advantage over the more casual player. Even more than they already have. Because it's not fun. It's really bad game design (= not fun design) to make a game that requires you give up on college, your job (maybe night guards can play on the job) and your social life to compete. In short, 120 stats are for the most part not fun. By the way, if there isn't a reward for 104m xp/virtual 120, then there isn't a reward for trimmed comp either. Hiscores (cosmetic rewards) apparently don't count.

Pretty good performance at tds there ^^. Good luck with solo :).

Mage slaying
True, I forgot to take that into account. @ Powerfrog: Storm is only 20 base xp/cast less, so at average hits of like 266 and 412 (on task max gear no fero) that's 90 + 53.2 xp vs. 70 + 82.4 xp. Plus that SoA gets 25% more base casts per hour anyway, so the base xp/hr is 90*1200 or 70*1500 - only 3000 xp/hr difference. Overall the xp/hr difference is about 171840 vs 228600 (100% accuracy no attack turns missed), or some 30%. That's like using a rapier over a dscim xp-wise. Saying that it's 'almost identical' is a bit inaccurate.

120 Constitution?
Except that Castle Wars can be boosted, much like powertraining, at about 3x the rate of playing (e.g. 7.5 games per hour, 700 hours for the lot) - I think that 7000 hours for current max total to all 120s is quite fast already. And even then, only a few dozen people actually have 5000 games played, let alone all champions defeated etc.. My point isn't that it takes long. It's that people don't get it very often. Even the supreme Castle Wars lovers don't often play 5000 games over the course of their scaping career. Similarly, not even the greatest xp-lovers gain 104m xp in a stat very often, let alone multiple. Your reason for preferring 120 stats is that max total becomes rare again. My point is that max total is already rare, and that considering the 'ultimate' max in the game is even rarer to the point of only a dozen people having achieved it (one person at release even) the game can go on for a very long time before max needs to made 'elite' once more. There is no point in making the end game unachievable. If you want a game where the ultimate maximum perfection is extremely über rare, go play Pacman.

Dreadnips
Dreadnips do make tds switch prayers to melee, they previously didn't affect prayers at all and since they ignore them they were a bit overpowered.

Q
We can td sometime sure :). Idk if your mate had a steel titan, but range + melee really isn't neccesary if two people have one :P. 2 titan specs = range prayer no questions asked. What I Did Today: (I traded that first person a grey bandana)

120 Constitution?
You say that, but there are currently loads of maxed or near maxed players. If 120 stats came you'd still have max cape, all 99's. Comp cape would just become a lot more work. (It already has 5k castle war games needed for trimmed so 120 stats isn't as crazy as they already think we are.) Except that 120s stats take far, far longer than 5k cwars games. About 10x as long. There are currently about 1000 people with a comp cape with about 40k+ players on at a given time. That's how many, 300-500k unique accounts? RS has less than a percent maxed players, and less than one percent of a percent of trimmed comp capes.

You're even better off using Storm of Armadyl. It costs about as much as a surge atm and has roughly 1.8x the dps.

Barrows: Is killing Akrisae necessary after RotM
Yes. You won't get more armour pieces killing 7 brothers rather than 6, so kill Akrisae but not Torag.
