31-Aug-2011 The Branches of Darkmeyer
Good quest, excellent rewards. Hoping vyres are a good effigy task, with their combat level and the damage boost I think they'll be better than irons, ice strykes and steels.

Rapier Staking stats?
CLS (if not using VLS). It's a decent KO.

Castle Wars
Oh they're more like bews then? Alright.

Rapier Staking stats?
Ideal stats: higher than your opponent. Other than that, 80 att, 99 str, highest defence you can be bothered to get?

Fishing from 95-99
Well, there's a few things to do: 1) Only do frozen floors. 2) Kill all monsters with turmoil active. 3) Evade slow bosses. General dungeoneering skill is a great help.

what to cook at 80 cooking?
As xpx explained a while ago, burning fish doesn't matter for the xp rate as much but it does matter for the gp/xp a lot. If you're going to do fish pre-no burn level you might as well make wines for the same gp/xp and three times the xp rate.

I don't think spear + claw + claw is better than claw + claw + claw. A claw usually outhits a bandage healing by far.

There's a few clans, DGS (application/review floor), No Quitters (93+ dg), DG Squires (non-rushing), 3BO (113+ dg), DG Family (f2p, 80+ dg), Dung Mates (f30+).

Fishing from 95-99
At 90+ fishing it's also worth it for the fishing xp only. If you don't value agility xp, 80+ fishing is probably also worth it.

Don't know him, sorry. Thanks :). @Zaap: I looked at the hiscores and found that the rank below me has 2292 total and 400m xp. 12ish fishing urns to 85 fishing, it's boring already :(. I think I'll set my bxpw target at 90/91 in buyables, mainly construction, crafting and smithing but also fletching. Should be easy to get assists if you offer three skills.

This. An epic bossfight wouldn't go amiss either, that pest queen manouver was so anticlimactic. The only good use for signature heroes is cannon fodder. Time to show that raptor fellow that half a noob and their dog can one-hit him.

Fishing from 95-99
Start floor one complexity two on your own. You can only get a small so that's decided automatically. Do the floor as quickly as possible, just like a c1. When in the starting room sell the katagon weapons you get and buy a fishing rod and 250 feathers. Any time you find a fishing spot, fish it. Drop the fish. You can drop them while running and of course you don't have to drop the last ~15 fish, nothing wrong with ending a floor carrying raw fish. You can either leave the floor before boss and start again at floor 1, or you can kill the boss and finish all your frozens. Definitely avoid the slow bosses such as the planefreezer unless you also need to rush your lower floors. Around 50-60k fishing xp for all frozens at my level (84), much more at 90+ fishing. Up to 10 minutes per floor depending on fish count, but generally a lot less.

94 herblore and 85 hunter. Getting strange rocks now. 85 mining from mining rocks. Time to get 85 construction and construction rocks. That leaves 85 fishing and runecrafting. Thieving rocks were really fast.

Castle Wars
You have to get the helm as drop. Once you have it, and it's in your inventory or bank, it apparently provides the set effect. I haven't tried of course.

Nomad's Requiem
You can do it. With overloads it's be even easier. Use something like full Armadyl, ranger's boots, crossbow, barrows gloves etc. and ruby bolts (e). Either use eagle eye or get turmoil and use soul split/leech range/leech defence. A kyatt would help a lot, as would overloads. A pernix item is an alternative.

Opening effigies myself - level boosting
You start a battle on a battlefield which has two specific tiles in it, one boosts summoning the other boosts agility. Stand on top of the tile to recieve the boost.

Maul is a pretty bad KO on high soak gear, I'd suggest claws.

23-Aug-2011 New Rewards for Minigames
The way I look at it: Trickster is distance armour: you shouldn't be around to be hit with melee at any time. I can understand why it has no melee defence. It doesn't really have good distance defence though, which is kind of annoying. With blood barrage you can survive a crossbow or two but melee KOs you. Vanguard is for a range > melee combo (Morrigan's/handcannon > claws) but considering you will basically be frozen 100% of the time it's only useful fighting non-mages (+2 magic defence with spectral/fury/fire cape/onyx (i)). Battlemage is for magic dps and then KOing with melee. It has high strength bonus, and high magic attack. Rangers will hit very often but with blood barrage you can survive that. I would like to note that the trickster and vanguard boots have by far the highest ranged defence of any boots (+9, the second best are +2 rogue boots).

Opening effigies myself - level boosting
Agility/crafting effigies: More efficient to do agility, you only need 87 agility for a guaranteed boost to 97. Crafting can be assisted for 30k free xp per day. Thieving/construction effigies: Roughly equally efficient depending on income, can boost by 3 with tea. Thieving has a +4 boost with the abyssal lurker scroll. Construction can be assisted. Fm/cook: Mature chef's delight boosts by 6. Fish: Farming has +4 stranger plant but fishing is more efficient. Wc/fletch: Woodcut is more efficient, but only has a +2 boost (mature axeman's folly). Hunt/herb: Hunter has a guaranteed +8 or +9 with the Ooglog pool. Mine/smith: Mining is more efficient, both have the same guaranteed +2 (mature dwarven stout). Summ/rc: Rc is more efficient. Summ has a +10 boost like agility. Don't dump your lamps until the highest level you can w/o wasting effigies (if you have 40 dragonkin lamps, dump at level 97).
