Well, you take your ordinary 3-spot lure (you run from the white to the black spots when starting): The two demons on the left will be hit by the barrage aimed at the lower one (which is the only one attacking me). Your first barrage should be ice, freezing them in those positions. Then you move in to melee the first (with darklight) and the second one standing under the first, so it can't attack you. When they are both back to prot mage you return to your first spot and mage, healing with blood barrage if you have to. Ideally you'd have them frozen every time you melee. You need to lure over another demon if you constantly want to have 2 demons to mage, but I haven't done much barraging so I can't give much information about that. If your magic attack bonus is below 120, don't even bother.

New Slayer cave
I agree with above. In my opinion pvp is a good way to remove combat gear from the game, dark bows, sols and whips are all used quite a lot, as are dragon boots, granite mauls and whatnot. Trouble is that reinstating Bounty Hunter or similar might not be very popular, making the effect too small.

when is the next double xp weekend?
A farm run during the first 2.7x xp. Turning in any curved/long bones you have as well. Expensive stats after: pre-extreme herblore, pre-assist construction (mahogany tables), crafting (gems, black dragonhide), fletching (broad arrows) etcetera. All summoning at 1.1x. The time you save is equal for every stat. No matter what you do, 2.7x xp is going to save you 1.7 minutes per minute. If you do expensive stats, you save money (if you buy supplies early so you don't pay the inflated prices). If you do moneymakers or anything that gets you charms or effigies, you lose money or xp. So it's best to do the most expensive stats, until the multiplier gets low enough that the inflated prices make it more expensive to train with bonus xp than without. But since prices probably crash during the weekend (after the initial spike/GE freeze) that point might not come.

I can't get whips anymore :O
Chances of getting whips your next two kills is 1/512 squared, or about 0,0004%. Chances of getting b2b whips in your next 500 kills is 1 - (511/512)^499 (getting a first whip not on the last kill) multiplied by 1/512 (chance of getting a whip the kill after) or about 0,12%. Chances of getting a whip after your next whip are 1/512. So 1/512th of all whips is followed by another whip. If we assume there's always at least 100 people in Kuradal's dungeon (spread across worlds) each killing at least 100 demons per hour, there's always at least 240.000 demons dying every day. If we assume around 500 whip drops per day, you'd expect around one b2b whip each day. And I think 10.000/hr is pretty low, considering some worlds have 3-4 people and maxed players kill 200/hr. And then there's the slayer tower...

EPIK PHAIL moment
This really doesn't seem to be a question nor a discussion topic, and hardly worthy of a topic in the Achievements section, so I'm locking this. If you want to make an achievement topic out of this, PM me or another moderator.

I can't get whips anymore :O
1/512 for whips. 14*200 abyssals killed. 511/512^2800 If you killed another 2800 abyssals, there's .4% chance you won't get a whip, approximately.

Vecna Skull
Use one along with regular magic potions when using combat magic. It basically saves 1 dose of magic potion every time you use it (you should pot 2-3 times per 7 minutes depending on how long you intend to keep maging).

New Slayer cave
If you have something like Gulega, but assigned, then I guess that's alright. Though I'd say it needs a summoning requirement to get them assigned if they require specific familiars. And whatever the slayer monster is it better be 50k slayer xp/hr or have a great effigy rate.

It looks like that tree is being leeched off... or being empowered somehow. Left by the icyene?

New Slayer cave
Steel titan is perhaps 10% more kills at things like abberants, mutated velds etc. and like 30-40% more at waterfiends etc. I'd say that's significant. Not to mention that uni allows you to survive some tasks (pre-soul split) and yak reduces the costs of powerslaying if you do irons/steels. Summoning already helps slayer a ton.

Thanks :). Lunars are good for suqah tasks and suqah are sub 2 hr effigies and decent xp. Plus that Catherby tele is nice for farming and being on Lunars makes it very easy to rc/Livid should I want to (of course it kinda prevents mining/woodcutting). So annoyed the new livid spells don't include anything useful.

Q
Got my first ice stryke task, one effigy, 94 slayer. They're alright, much better than other strykes, but I'm not hoping for a lot more tasks. Getting off lunars is so annoying. Dark beasts now.

Will whip drop even lower?
I don't see why they would go up. Loads of no-cannon slayers consider abyssal demons decent experience in Kuradal's dungeon.

Ambler3's Blog- [VITALIS DROP!!] :D
Well the piles are really quite dangerous you know, each td can combo with range + mage for around 400-500 damage quite easily. If you happen to have two demons lured who are both meleeing and you're at a distance to both, they could simultaneously decide to start ranging/maging which is lethal. I've had four demons lured (which sucks) and they launch those over-wall mage attacks all the time :/. That being said I like tds, one of the best bosses in the game. You actually have to consider your movement, which you really won't find at the 'smash big one till it's dead' kind of bosses (aka God Wars).

Oak planks/Sc hammer
50750/120 = 422,91666666666666666666666666667 aka 423.

Construction on oak doors?
Oak doors are more planks per item, so more planks per hour, and the xp per plank is fixed, so more xp/hr. You just send your butler to get 20 or 26 planks (depending on which one you use). While he's gone you continue building with the planks in your inventory. When he arrives you take the planks, the butler will hold any excess and will give you those planks if you click him. When the butler's empy, send him for more planks and keep building.

Hunter 61-70
Orange salamanders or red salamanders, using a spirit larupia (+5 hunter boost and fairly cheap compared to kyatt/graahk). [hide] The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender (rune defender) Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet. [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +10 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +20 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, black dragon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. [/hide] Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 70 prayer and King's Ransom - piety 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it.

New Slayer cave
Something that makes (modern) magic attacks 1 speed faster and reduces the range to melee range or salamander range. Good dps (fire surge not as good as rapier though) and not as useful in pvp. I think. Because of modern magics only & robes having low defence.

A Guide to Dagannoth kings, all methods.
The best way to avoid crashers is having a slayer task and solo maging honestly isn't worth it without a task exactly because of this.

Anti-Bot Idea
I'm not convinced it'll work. And I don't like the idea of having to do a task to cut yew trees, although it could be made somewhat sensible (historically, at some point in the UK there was a shortage of high-quality yew wood for longbow which made the king protect yew trees) it's just very annoying. I've heard there's quest bots, there are dungeoneering bots, and some bots will solve fairly complex tasks. If the bots don't solve it an employee (goldfarmer) could probably take 20-30 bots per hour through those tasks anyway.

New Slayer cave
I don't want my slayer to be incredibly profitable because it means there will be more noobs or bots taking up my spawns -.-. I want areas that are hard, require high apm, and offer superior slayer xp as a reward. Just like how ct fiends are way faster than ac fiends, if you got the stats to survive. And how mithril dragons can be killed in Bandos with protect magic instead of the easy Karil's + prot melee. Something like multicombat dark beasts, where you have to deal with both magic and melee attacks, while also balancing prayer needs because you are using a titan over a yak.

Elite from dks trip. Bandit camp teles are worth a lot. Edit: claws :D. Refreshing alog again. 23 kills in 2 ovl, but that last kill was without overload except the first shot. Seemed to go really well but in the end it's not faster than my other trips. Ranged accuracy is really low without a range prayer. Bought dragon bones for 98 prayer, getting 94 slayer tomorrow probably, and I hope to get 97 melees/98 prayer this weekend as well.

Best boss to hunt for cash
At tds you can survive on titan + eee specials (and ss flashing) but it's not comfortable at all. I'd recommend training range on something that drops charms, perhaps chinning nechryael (need 80 slayer) or cannoning kalphites. At 88 summoning you'll be able to do dks and tds at around 1-2m/hr. Bottom line is: safing with fish costs attack turns and you can't carry a lot. Safing with brews nukes your stats without overloads. Bosses suck without boosted stats. Get another way to heal (unicorn) or another way to boost your stats (overload).
