Castle Wars
The best gear would be virtus, divine, chaotic staff, arcane stream, infinity boots, barrows gloves etcetera. Battle-mage would be good as well (you get the set effect if you own the helmet even though you can't use it in Castle Wars itself). Pernix and handcannon or so might also be good to fight lesser mages, in Ahrim's etcetera. But you won't take down a virtus mage no matter what, or you need to make sure they can't heal off a lot of people. If you want to melee, go with Bandos and Karil's. You should be able to take on some weaker mages in Karil's but in Bandos you won't have a chance versus even a level 80 in mystic.

Soul Wars.
You can hop in in the first 10? minutes or so, past that you can join but you won't get a reward.

Leveling firemaking from 73-92
100% correct. The most efficient thing to do on the xp weekend is the most expensive buyable you want to level, usually construction or herblore, but ignoring those, magic logs are around 4.5 gp/xp, about on par with smithing and some forms of crafting. It's still better to do fletching (broad arrows are 8 gp/xp or so) but as fletching xp is really completely useless compared to firemaking for adze/Varrock elite, I'd say go for it. Magic logs only.

85 agility :). Opened two effigies, got rc and hunt gorged. Time to get agile top. 88 thieving now as well. One level for guaranteed boost to nourished effigies. Still got ~3k bones to do for 98 prayer. And then 5k for 99. With 99 atk/def/str/hp/pray/range I'd be 2301 total, but I'll get a slayer level before all that as well, so I'll probably hit 2300 at 137 combat, or maybe even 136 if I get ranged, pray, hp, slayer and 6 noncombat levels before I get 1.1m in each melee. Fun fact: of all people with 2290 total level I have the lowest total experience.

Auras
Failing either of the advanced courses does not reduce xp/hr very much, you lose like 5% of your xp/hr max at level 85 compared to 88. Considering you can only use surefooted part of the way and that it becomes entirely useless after 94, you might as well not get it. You can use a citadel battlefield to boost your agility level by 10 to open effigies, so if you have a couple saved that's going to be a major timesaver.

I can move some posts from /obt/ to your blog. But I don't think that'd be a very good idea. Besides it's all spam and double posts of whatever I've been doing at the time. Simple matter of posting every level-up separately :P. For example I've done half a dark beast task! I'll post again if I get an effigy. Edit: no effigy, no post count :(.

Jad Task
They changed them so that you can now apparently hear the ranged sound before it hits, unlike before, when you would always pray range and switch to mage on sound when Jad was off-screen.

Temple Trekking and Burgh de Rott Ramble
Zach will take a while, Jayene is nice and quick to level. You should bring an ivandis flail, generic good weapons and armour, prayer potions, some food, and a sack of cabbages (10) or two. And you need a druid pouch.

Lure the 180s, kill the 180s, doesn't really matter. With soul split you can lure them for healing after, without soul split you'll probably want to lure them to avoid damage, but anytime that's inconvenient you should just kill them. They only have like 800 health anyway.

Advice for current stats?
The fastest way to get slayer points is doing 9 Mazchna tasks and then 1 task at the highest master you can (I think that's Sumona?) to get the 5x points. I'm not sure how long it takes. It's 99 points per 10 tasks and most of those tasks will be very quick and easy.

Doing some c2 fishing, got hailstorm and bound it. Then got another hailstorm the floor after. What's the drop rate on them? Edit: frostbite now too. The bonus damage effect works even if you miss. Blazer doesn't affect it but it's magic damage. All my frozens got me 55k fishing xp. I just realized that I'm only two levels away from opening effigies with fish and I think I have a couple.

Advice for current stats?
You can range slay, but I'd get 99 range by cannoning slayer tasks. It's a massive xp boost.

I presume you have a chaotic rapier. At your stats melee is certainly superior to any other method. You'd use Bandos (or barrows) with rapier, defender, slayer helmet, dragon boots, fury, barrows gloves, soul wars cape. Pray piety and the right protect prayer (don't have to pray on 90s). Use enhanced excalibur for specs, or borrow sgs or claws or something. 3 super attack and strength, 10 pray pots, 2 super restores, 4 brews, spec weapon and 5 rocktail. Don't heal with brews unless you have to, but when you do, brew twice, restore, and repot attack and strength. If you absolutely have to range, use slayer helmet/Armadyl/Karil's crossbow/soul wars cape and pray eagle eye at all times. Merc gloves are equal to barrows gloves and fury is superior to stole.

What Aurua should I get
It doesn't matter. Each aura has an advantage that's so small that it's hard to calculate how much benefit you'll have from one compared to the other.

alternate ways to train FM
Actually, the jadinko lair offers a decent way to train firemaking. Chop curved roots and burn them in firepits, it's just like cooking fish. It's about the speed of yew logs if you have an adze, otherwise slower but still good.

How many urns to bring to LRC?
No. But if you bank your ores, then yes.
-
How many urns to bring to LRC?
Ideally, as many urns as you can comfortably carry and bank for more. That's about 15 per trip. If you bank your ores, bring a yak or war tortoise with urns (nr) and earth runes in your inventory, always having two urns in your inventory.
-
Which skills to train during Bonux XP?
Expensive skills will save you time and money. Profitable or break-even skills will save only time. You can stew runecrafting but not firemaking.

I went steel titan tding, Karil's instead of void for easy switches. When I get the titan to work it does really well, but I can't quite make it range every time yet. Why doesn't your alog update when you log out, like hiscores -.-. 12 kills in an overload, that's not very bad (considering my 22/2 overload with unicorn). I somehow think it's connected to higher ranged accuracy though, with Karil's. Second try, 14 kills in an overload. That's about on par with unicorn depending on how fast I can bank. Third trip today, with void/unicorn/rapier/handcannon: effigy. 24 kills in 2 ovl. Better than maul.

good mage staff
Staff of light is best when barraging a lot of things at the same time, for charms or profit - a 15% cost reduction at nearly no loss in damage output is great. But yeah, Obtaurian covered it.

safe spot for dust devils?
Putting a lot of work into making a good guide and ending up with a bad guide - you respect the intention but not the result. That guide is extremely awful. Replace a glory with a strength amulet while ranging? They didn't even consider the stats. As for safespots, the lava trick probably works. And dusties don't deal a lot of damage, you can probably get away with tanking them.

Would you actually refer a friend to Runescape?
I wouldn't recommend f2p at all. P2p-wise, I don't think I have any friends who'd enjoy this kind of (very grindy) game. If I had such friends I would perhaps introduce them to the game.

Help planning my skilling
You should do the most expensive skill first (not sure which that is, but oak planks are cheap compared to herblore). And yes it'd be possible. For construction I'd recommend mahogany planks as it halves the number you need.
