  1. Try hunter on the xp weekend, and do a farm run, gets you that much closer to torstol.
  2. Buying thermometer... This blog is officially superior to 'It's Super Effective' and associated harpie blogs. AntiHarpy Flak Gun 2000 at the ready. But really, what do you want me to say :P? I can't compete with Your Leikness. As conversations go this place is pretty dry apart from me rambling. 92 woodcutting! I found out I killed 17 tormented demons that ~27 minute trip, only 37 kph :(. 94 firemaking now as well.
  3. Killed one td on a failed trip (died), then did a good trip (~27 minutes of killing) with an effigy. Farm run after was 60 torstol 2 seed.
  4. It was confirmed a while ago by a Jmod on the HLF. I believe Toad told Gwyn (and me) about that.
  5. No longer always rounds the prayer drain up to 1 point (10 now) so it generally uses less prayer. Also more prayer per inventory space = more divine damage reduction per inventory space = efffectively more health per inventory space. With just a small bit of stackable healing (ss, uni) elysian already beats divine purely space-wise, and this update slightly favours divine.
  6. The best way to kill imps would be cannoning in the resource dungeon on Karamja, gets you lesser demon kills as well. Not that imps for Zamorak kc are a bad idea but I wouldn't go solo K'ril just for the imp kills.
  7. It seems to me like the effects of whatever they throw at you affect hp/pray for only 5 seconds. Btw that's an epic poison to add to a dragon dagger.
  8. That's a good one, I'm going to test if mourners lower your prayer level/max amount of prayer points as well now. Edit: attacked mourner, 200/980 prayer and health. Ate monkfish, still 200 health. Drank super restore, still 200 prayer. Don't get it, I seem to be 98/98 constitution and prayer. And I can heal just fine now.
  9. Ranger boots are +5 ranged attack and +1 magic defence over the next best thing (snakesking). Armadyl chestplate/chainskirt have +3 ranged attack, +5 magic defence, +1 prayer over their counterparts. If you solo Kree'arra a lot they are about equally valuable but for slayer you definitely want ranger's. Of course ranger's are more expensive as well, not sure on the gp/range att.
  10. Go! You're one level ahead of Grimy, you can max before him! Just a matter of getting those last dungeoneering levels before he gets 1m fishing and agility xp. (watching someone max out is more fun if it's a race :thumbup:) (837 people with max total)
  11. I'm not sure how difficult the prayer rework really was - fractional prayer points were already in the game and the same code from life points could perhaps be used. I don't think this week really adds anything other than basically removing the need for super prayers - at current pray pot/wyvern bone prices and the time it takes to grind wyvern bones the regeneration potion would have to be 3k+ per dose (3x the price for regular ppots) to be inefficient. Then again super prayers were barely efficient as they were. The only trouble I can see with these new potions is that they don't stack (I don't know if they don't, just speculating). Turmoil + prot prayer in max slayer gear is 3,85 pts/tick, so you'd need 4 doses active at the same time. Or one dose of regeneration and one dose of regular pray pot every minute. Which would mean you'd go from 74 total doses of pray restore per hour to 67 doses. Two inventory spaces per hour.
  12. I think you uncovered the main weakness of the video guide: you can't list every method (or if you did it'd be annoyingly long to watch). There's a huge overlap between smithing and magic due to superheat just like there's an overlap with mining, effigies (assists) and such. Maybe you should make a guide to max total with the 100% most efficient way. That'd be worth watching.
  13. That gives us an idea of the break-even point, apparently around 90 attack w/ void, on task I'd expect rapier to be better.
  14. You can lose more than 1 pray point per tick.
  15. Void is only superior to the slayer helm on 0-def tasks so Arma skirt has some use, not to mention any bosshunting you might want to do. I'd recommend selling: Wizard boots, infinity except boots, Bandos godsword, teacher wand, Verac's brassard and flail, 10k bloods, 50k pure essence, all bird nests (that's like 6m right there), Karil's coif and crossbow (if you are 95+ firemaking, handcannons are under 50k!), Torag's except plate, Ahrim's hood and staff, gnome scarf, about 50 glories, one berserker ring and the gilded/trimmed/god armours. That should be a few million gp. If that doesn't get you enough cash the order would be something like Armadyl/Bandos legs > Armadyl/Bandos top > ranger boots. I'm not sure if you range or melee more so you should sell based on that.

  17. Dicing works with 100-sided dice (or two 10-sided dice). You'll see people advertising a number (usually 50-60) and x2. That means you double your money if you roll higher than that number. 50 or below results in loss to the host so they are all scams. No. Broad arrows, 50% more xp than adamant and the same gp/xp. Tips and headless arrows buy easily, the limits are 10k for heads and 20k or so for headless. Torstol farming! And juju potions/scroll of life.
  18. The curse flies to your opponent, so you can use it to track them :D. It can also happen that you get hit by a curse just as you die, so you see the ending of the animation on you as you spawn.

That being said: Vyrewatch (needs Branches of Darkmeyer, no effigies, decent loot, can't train focused attack) Monkey Skeletons (needs salve amulet (e), no effigies, no loot) Armoured zombies (needs salve amulet (e) some effigies, charms, some loot, instanced, low lp) Living rock creatures (some effigies, charms, loot, high lp) Slayer (needs chaotic rapier, decent effigies, charms, loot, slayer xp)
  20. About 17 xp/essence at 75, going up to 19ish at 99 I believe. 4k ess/hr would be 76k xp - that's not possible. My guess is 3000-3500.

    Bonus goes from 2.7 to 1.1 in 10 hours. You should make oak dungeon doors or mahogany tables (10 oak/6 mahog planks). In 10 hours you can get around 7-8m xp with mahogany normally, would be increased to about 12-13m I guess, enough for 99. With oak planks, which are half the xp of mahogany, you'd take well over 20 hours to get 99 construction. Probably 120k planks?
  22. Pure superheating gold is missing from the guide and you forget that the xp rates with SC hammers depend on the time spent playing SC. If rune burial armour is 350k xp/hr without sc hammers it's about 300k with (~12 minutes per SC tool). I wouldn't recommend adamant arrowtips either, they are only very slightly faster than gold, and much slower than smelt-superheating gold. Of course gold costs a little more but the time saved is well worth it to anyone. And if you really wanted cheap xp you'd go superheat @ LRC gold, the only obstacle being 80 mining. Other than that the video is well-made, I find the font a little annoying to read, that's all. Nice use of various anvils. Might want to take a look here: Grimy's smithing.
  23. (*pointedly ignores harpies*) I can understand being 1900- total, but honestly they were the kind of people to be 99 att/def/str/hp with 80 range/pray/mage and 40s in other skills. Fine if you want to play the game your way but that's seriously low stats. Nothing to be proud of. Did another steel titan trip, died on 5th overdose (6 brews). 19 kills in that time though, that's 45 kills per hour :D. Just ran into the worst kind of noob: 138, ely + void, yak, killing one spawn just west of the north rock. That's my third spawn. And in luring it he/she lures all other tds over. And another trip (all these edits are more or less in chronological order). Had some startup issues, forced to hop after 1 overload due to the noob above and the world I hopped to was empy but had 3 demons lured west in a very damaging way. After a couple of false starts I managed a 6.little bit overdose trip with an effigy :thumbup:. I know I killed 3 demons in the one overdose I did with the noob and perhaps that includes the one I killed before leaving the messed-up lures. After that it's 27 kills, effigy, and more kills (refresh alog :angry: (it's 9)) but I don't know which belong with which trip. 3 + 27 + 9 kills. I started the trip with 2 overloads (4). At the end I had one dose left, but I had only one kill on my seventh dose. So I'm guessing it's around 32 minutes for that trip, and about 30 kills? Quite a lot anyhow.
