Spectres won't profit unless you bank the herbs which means you'll either use a yak over an iron titan or that you won't be in the well half the time. Not really worth it imo. You should cannon every slayer task. Some can't be cannoned which usually makes them a bad/low-xp task, for example mutated jadinkos, abyssal demons etc. Some tasks are in multicombat though and can be good with a titan (mainly waterfiends and terror dogs). And some tasks are bad even with a cannon (wyverns, fire giants, desert and jungle strykes, warped tortoises).

You can cannon lessers + imps in the resource dungeon, it's not multi but I suppose you could use ranged (void + handcannon) to try and kill them before they hit you, or otherwise just melee.

Got 87 thieving, then opened a bunch of effigies. 7 starved thieving led to 3 agility and 2 hunter I could do with battlefield/ooglog. Now my main effigy skills to get up are mining and thieving, I got 8 starved mining and like 10 nourished thieving. With all that I'm only 200k xp behind Aiel at 180.75m vs 180.95m. 4086 hours played, 44238 xp/hr. (must add more factoids to make this post existence-worthy).

Hill giants get my vote.

It depends on how you slay. If you slay with just armour, weapon, boost pots and maybe antifire potions at times, then yeah, slayer is really really boring just like any other combat. But slayer lets you kill some monsters that wouldn't otherwise be worth killing such as hellhounds, suqah, abberant spectres etcetera. The 1/6th melee offence boost also means you will kill stuff a lot faster, which leads to being able to use new strategies sometimes (mainly related to tanking with soul split).

Just went dks with Latin, 90 kills. Overall about 1.7m loot for one yak (so about 45 mins of actual killing lol), only a seers ring unique drop wise. If you actually got the 2-3 drops you expect that'd easily another 2-3m loot added (weighed avg of hatchet, seers, archer, berserker, warrior, mud is like 1m?) which would be nice. If it actually dropped -.-.

I'd break hood and 2h for aiel spears. Sort of high-power javelins + hasta, high attack speed, high damage... or maybe aiel just have really high attack and strength levels. Got woodcutting and mining rocks w/ clan rings (one from the first week, one from this week). Rather nice bonus xp. My green dragon egg hatched, last dragon to grow for me. Probably also the last pet. And I defended Party Pete. 6th or 7th court case or so.

It would probably work, yes. You can also borrow tassets and go for ranged defence only, I think.

Actually, yes the +15 damage makes much of a difference, about 3% more kills (and more drops) in your example.

You could get a kill, yes. Wear tassets + ktop + Torag's helm, use claw specials, then finish off with whip + dfs. Run under Graar to eat, use rocktail.

Definitely fury and bcp for DKS and slayer. A berserker ring is nice to have anywhere you melee. Claws are good for tds, Bandos/Saradomin god wars, slayer etc. but for slayer only a tiny upgrade. If you don't slay for max combat you should get void. You should get a rapier either way but that's another matter of course.

Thanks, you too :). And yeah I've only been playing seriously for a year or so, with farming I finally managed to get a steady cashflow to support basic things like teleports. I believe Lan was held by a level 3 f2p character and the player, being maxed etc. had a Jmod free up that name (or asked). Not sure though. I got a desert scan > ct scan > white wolf mountain scan > elven lands scan so far. Two Guthix wizards. Edit: add a Keldagrim scan. Not great but some nice additional cash.

Died at tds just now, got all my stuff back. Only drop was an elite clue and it auto-protects, so I kept maul/claws/fury + elite (no protect item). That's nifty. +5 kills.

Even taking that into account, I've gotten more herb seeds from commons by far, per catch that is.

Fighter hat has -7 ranged attack and -3 magic defence - you shouldn't be using it when ranging at the very least.

Draconics have sucky seed rates, commons are way better :P.

I think in void especially, archer (i) + berserker (i) is nice, or in a ffa team onyx (i) + wealth for example.

There's no better torso piece than BCP really. Torva, pernix, virtus, Karil's, void, Ahrim's, Armadyl etc. all have their respective uses but in slayer, BCP reigns.

War tort for supplies for both, then elemental titan for healing for you, probably bunyip for your friend. Either of you mages, claws of Guthix with charge and void mace or fire surge, but you don't have any good magic level boosts. You can't really bring stat-boosting potions without uni or ovl. Wear high ranged defence gear and pray mage, the hybrid uses ranged and melee to alternate between prime and supreme, so he brings a ranged top as well. You could both bring a cannon and just kill prime that way, then both mage/melee hybrid or something.
