What happened to rune crafting through the Abyss?
Well, let's just say that runespanning is at least five times as fast as abyss runecrafting. That means that if you were going for, say, 70k xp and 2.75m gp, you would have to spend 5 hours abyss rcing, or instead spend 1 hour runespanning and 4 hours making money - less than 700k/h is required. It's extremely easy to get 2m/h at QBD, glacors, frost dragons and such, so abyss rcing is no longer worth it. To add to that, you can teleport closish to the blood altar using Drakan's medallion.

Zammy GWD help
not really true, DW mage works weird and ends up being higher dps then a staff. Im sure Q or Chenw can explain the actual math behind it. Magic is so horrible that I doubt that anyone but Thai can explain how it works. Anyway, dual-wield magic is better mostly because of Concentrated Blast, since off-hand barrages don't hit for full damage anymore and other changes.

22-Jul-2013 - RuneScape 3!
No it isn't? The winning option is "Inter the bodies in the Catacombs.". The new vote is about spare change - basically we can send 5000 gp aid to Saradomin, Zamorak, equal to both or use it for Lumbridge. I voted Lumbridge.

Abs is tier 77, not 78. Not that it matters much, but principles.

Lolz - No More Fisho
Well, there are two effects here. First is the tendency of people to flanderize memories, the second is the tendency to forget. The first means that people will make happy memories more perfect and bad memories more evil, aided by the second, through a process which involves loss of detail. We rely on regular updates to keep details fresh and defined, much like we require regular updates on contemporary language and day/night rhythms to stay sharp. So you could say that both 'distance makes the heart grow fonder' and 'out of sight, out of mind' are true.

Help With Customizing My Screen PL0x?
You can slim down the equipment interface - make it narrower - and move the 8-button bar into the space freed up. Then you could place the action bar, extended to maximum length, in the place where the 8-button bar is now.

Not as well as any of the weapons I listed, but out of those I didn't list it is the best option.

Couple of Questions
If you compost them, they won't be diseased as often. By paying the coconuts, the farmer will cure your trees before they die, but getting diseased still stops the tree from growing. Basically, compost makes your trees grow faster, on average. If you're doing one tree run per day, there's not much need to compost. If you want to run a tighter schedule, use compost.

Zammy GWD help
You'll be needing some good equipment. Seismic wand and orb > Virtus wand and book > Chaotic staff Virtus armour set > ganodermic set Pray protect from magic, I guess, or maybe protect from melee is better - but robes have better melee defence naturally. Cast blood blitz or blood barrage, depending on how much you want to spend for a few AoE hits. You should use abilities, especially Concentrated Blast, Impact and Asphyxiate are good. Bring a war tortoise with food. I don't know how long you will last, but I think one tortoise would be good to start with. Don't let your health drop too far, I think K'ril definitely hits for 2k+, which means that you should safe at 3k or maybe even 4k.

Super September is Coming!
I wonder what caused people (incl. me) to spawn without capes. Maybe it has to do with the glitch that shows you without items equipped near the Duel Arena, when it's really supposed to only not show keepsakes. Either way it's interesting to see that it's the SW capes that act as team capes and hide the 'attack' option on friendly players (even though you still can't attack them, even without capes).

About the task reward clothing..
Varrock armour 1 is pretty nice... and I don't like the Falador shield 4 at all. Anyway it's not possible to keep the look when upgrading.

Behind the Scenes September 2013
I thought every C6 dungeon has one skill door like that? One you might need to boost for to get over 100. No. Every c6 dungeon has bonus doors, and bonus doors can be (are always?) outside the level range for crit doors, but they do not have to be 100+, 1-85 are all good possibilities as well (assuming 99 stats, the level range is like 90-99 for crit? idk).

Exactly like 2h weapons block the shield slot. Edit: got war-priest helmet. Equipping war-priest boots, gloves and helmet is the same as worse than equipping dragon boots, black dragonhide vambraces and grifolic visor.

Back after a few years
1) Combat is a balance between two things: using the best abilities, and using abilities all the time (not being idle). Check this for relative ability strengths (scroll down also). Generally, alternate Slice with more powerful basics and use tresholds when possible 2) GWD armour and GWD weapons, for magic Armadyl battlestaff. 3) Read the DGS guides: http://www.xp-waste.com/official-dgs-guides-and-other-resources-t2328.html. 4) Player-owned ports is good long-term, short-term try any GWD or maybe frost dragons.

I think there won't be more barrels than other floors, just that every shade will be angry and so on. Now the real question is, will every slayer monster be a gazer :-k.

Here's a suggestion that's far too complicated (but I like it): Google docs cause don't want to format the tables into forum code. It's a direct copy-paste from the draft, so formatting may be off and not all parts are finished. [hide=Picture reference] Yes, the lines are a bit blurry. Meh. Red box = combined in bottom layer. Blue boxes = combined in middle layer & bottom layer. Black boxes = individual slots (top layer & slots not part of layers). [/hide] Edit: some comments on the above. I'm going to assume people will switch between off-hand and shield for three combat styles (or two, three is more for no-risk fighting), and a platebody for each style (that's 2 mh weapons, 2 platebodies, 2 oh weapons and at least one shield, for 7 switches total). If you want to bring a two-hander to bust through shields as well, add 1-2 more slots. That's enough switches imo. The whole bottom layer isn't worth switching anyway, it's just three slots that determine your basic lookout, e.g. choice of damage, soak, accuracy and so on, for each slot. It's the middle and top layers that take the place of the current armour slots, with actual attack/defence penalties. Of course you could switch boots/gloves and stuff for extra bonuses, but I think tribrid items, like barrows gloves, should be very good, e.g. arma/bandos/subj gloves being only a little better, not being worth switching (unless you were super switching like Stev). It's part of the diminishing returns for apm, so platebody switching is a big boost, legs a bit less, gloves a bit less still and so on until capes, which are not worth switching because comp cape exists. If you're wearing a mail shirt, which has a small magic attack penalty, you could still wear a robe on top and get decent magic attack. If you wanted to switch the shirt, you'd have to take off the robe first. You could do a 'deep' switch, switching two-layer items, but you'd need more switches because only 3 slots combine into an item. You wouldn't need to take your platebody off to switch the middle layer, at least. If we're talking about balancing magic and ranged, maybe there needs to be an ammo slot for each, like a 'spell pouch' and 'quiver'. Inventory-held runes are technically a disadvantage for magic. Switching ammo is technically a disadvantage for range/mage brid vs. range/melee. The difference would be pretty small though. === Anyway this is all speculative, it'll need some work to be clear and straightforward and balanced and whatnot.

Future Update Discussions
I have heard that a Jmod said in a podcast something to the effect of 'we didn't want people who have more knowledge of the game to get higher xp rates', referring to Divination I think. Now I don't have the source, and it's second-hand, but Ellac's pretty reliable :P. Anything that sounds even slightly like that statement is completely inappropriate for a game designer. Getting ahead by knowledge is the basis of all tactical gameplay. RS is supposed to be a tactical game (because with the tick system, it's never going to be quite like M&B, right?).

Behind the Scenes September 2013
I don't think 300k tokens is a big deal even for people with relatively low levels. It would have been a big deal when achievement diaries were released, but since Temple Trekking and Dominion Tower are part of task sets, 300k tokens is perfectly acceptable. Considering the xp rates on dungeoneering, and the high requirements in slower skills we've had (91 fishing with pie, 95 summoning), I think even level 105 tasks would be fine, if not level 113 tasks. Since potions are pretty powerful in dg, every other skill requirement (apart from summ/pray, which are spoken for in other sets) is basically in the high 80s and ~95 herblore, which is not high for an elite task set. Not to mention that we got a heads-up about the task, so people without tokens can easily finish the requirement before release. @Sy: It would be wisest to stop splitting hairs. Yes, we know it doesn't require 99. We also know that not many people below 99 dungeoneering already have the requirement. That's all we need to know, everything else is arguing for argument's sake.

200M in all Skills
I hope everybody remembers that discussing (the morality/sensibility/worth of) nolifing is not allowed on this thread, exactly because of the kind of discussion I just removed. Thank you.

Range training
First, you can upgrade your boots/gloves to Armadyl. Won't do much, but you might as well. Second, you have to make sure you use Ricochet and Bombard to hit multiple targets whenever possible. Third, make sure you spam abilities as much as possible. Avoid ultimates.

Not really, but they shouldn't be rare. I think it's about 1/100 or better.

Which T2 aura should I buy?
I'm pretty sure it lowers your overall dps now, due to the way it interacts with ability minimum hits.
