I remember a while back in the Stronghold of Security a player told me he had gotten his 99 str from fever spiders. I, having gotten them as a slayer task a few times now, am questioning why/if he did; they are terrible exp, have annoying small hits, and only drop kwarms every once in a while. Just wondering if anyone has come accross such a training method. Thanks ;)

What do you mean by moving back and forth? Probably clicking the icon, then moving the mouse and clicking the item, waiting, and then starting all over Btw iskate, is this for buying the bolts and tips or the preassembled bolt with thip?

I've never gotten that task from her either, really you can go forever without getting a single new or exciting task; also if you want to get cave horrors, you can just go kill them yourse;f (I wouldn't reccomend it, they are boring as [cabbagge] :wall: )

Wow, that's it. You've cracked it. Man, why didn't anyone think of this sooner? I tell you what Joe, perhaps you're the God we've all been looking for. As for whether God is real, if you have felt His precence in your life and have considered Him in your decisions, He is. I haven't, hence the reason why I'm a monist (Not Christian either, I'm Unitarian Universalist). I just realized I assumed that humans created religion and molded it after what they saw, sorry if that offends anyone :? .

Just be careful to always use supercompost, if you're lower level and cant constantly watch over them then they get diseased a lot :? (At least that's my experience with them :cry: )

Thanks for all the suggestions guys : , I think what I'll take from this is to get back into farming herbs for a bit of profit and try out some new monsters, probably do some hunter to get that nice spottier cape Actually the reason I hate these hellhounds is the clues always interrupt it, I do like doing clues and stop everything to do them, but I also like powering through slayer tasks and these things give me clues waaaaaaay too fast. From this task I've a) killed two hellhounds and gotten a clue and b)gotten 2 clues in two kills (Look at my siggy, had to kill the other one because he was attacking me :roll: ) Probably wont get to do gwd till I get a team, but I'll try it when it comes Barrows was giving me dry chests so I'm kinda pissed at it, might go back though... Anything else would be appreciated to post, but this is really helping me :thumbsup: EDIT: For farming, should I stick with less expensive herbs most of the time since I'm off doing other things and cant look over them, or at my level is it not much of a problem?

Actualy, that's the whole point, you have 2 choices for the female/male mini quests, and if one seems better, you can just change your gender. There are already emotes that arent exactly suited to Gielnor, i.e air guitar and Michael Jackson zombie dance :lol: , Support!

I think I'm going through my phase of rs depression :( , but seeing that I have nothing else to do atm I want to figure out something fun to do. Slayer has been my life for a while (At least when I'm not skilling), but this hellhounds task is just killing me inside, and I have no points to cancel plus its my 100th task so there's no chance of me Burthoping. I have 2.8 mil atm, with a short term goal of full guthans and a long term one of bandos tassets (Please no flaming, its what I want and if I don't like them they are appreciating anyways : ). Any ideas on what I could do? Fun monsters to kill, skills I should be training, gettting a combat 99, finally giving gwd a go, other items I should buy and use. Void Spinner? well im still only lvl 4 lol...i seem to remember jagex saying you could turn the pouches back into a shards with only loosing a few? is that true? Yes go to the Summon master on Gu'tunoth and she will return 70% of the shards you used for the pouch back to you... something like that.. I forget her name though. ok...so last question...is there a profitable way to train? or break even whilst training? Really the only way in which summoning becomes profitable is when you *GASP* SUMMON CREATURES! :o BoB, Healers, and Foragers can make quite a bit of profit/are less expensive options whilst training combat, but no just making pouches is at least going to drain a bit away (Also at lower levels the familiars arent very useful, so you're better off training and taking some loss until it becomes useful ;) )

Its not as big a deal, but I remember when getting 70 pray griefers standing behind the altar were the worst, and now with pray-x they have no power :

As for when to train them, just train farming throughout, The herbs will save on losses

Glad I got my 70 pray when I did, in just a few short days the new update has made 62-70 pray on a gilded altar .9mil more expsensive than when I did it X.X

I just remember there being a compelling guide on these, and since slayer is getting tiresome (Hellhounds are ruining it for me :( ) I thought I'd give them a try after Spirit of Summer. If you dont like losing at GOP try finding a f2p 50/50 world, or make one yourself. But if you're that bored I'd recommend leaving rs for a bit, maybe coming back when you can become a member if you so choose...

if you're that worried about combat just equip some xbow and a mithril grapple hook, cannot attack with those so there is NO risk of combat :lol: (Or just have no ammunition, but i prefer grapples ;) ) (SoI guess this wouldnt work for some skills, but for most it would...)
