Okay? You still haven't explained why it is lazy though. And I refuse to acknowledge anything you say until you give me a 5000 word paragraph on the meanings of lazy, economy, RuneScape, and few.

Korasi's Sword: is it Balanced?
I understand that. But this is a topic with people debating whether or not it's too powerful. If it wasn't for this thread, i would have thought this was a useless weapon and moved on. What i am asking is why i am not getting anywhere near the hits other people are. Like i said i average 200 to 300. And this was fighting people lvl 110 an under. I could easily average more damage with a different spec weapon. Sorry...I'll be more direct for you.... Your luck sucks.... No, but he has been using the special in multicombat. your max in multi is 300 on your main target. .. which is why korarsi's sword FAILS for almost any PvM Boss in Runescape. - Tds are in multi - GWD is multi - DKS is multi hell, even corp is multi If you are maxing 300 on people in PvP, i suggest you check the corner of your screen for 2 crossed swords... I have been trying it out in the duel arena, and as far as i know it's not multi combat. Right? I see no multi symbol and i am there right now. Thank you for helping though. How do you know your max hit doesn't just suck? Because i am lvl 136 using turmoil with berzerker (i), bandos, fire cape, barrows gloves, rune defender, dragon boots, and a fury Try it in Clanwars Free For All, White Portal

Efficiency
I feel this topic is somewhat related to the others being discussed on the boards. On Topic; "Is efficiency laziness?" Jrhairychest asserts yet again, that being efficient is actually a bad thing. I find it silly that anyone would actually consider DIY playing would be 'just fine' without justification. I'm sure you could play RS on your own, but would you really? Fact is, unless you're willing to sacrifice alot more time for your goals, it's not worth it.

As long as the average 'wage' goes up at the same rate, there isn't that much of a problem. And before people argue about things tied with alchemy; It never was good money. Stop dreaming.

Korasi's Sword: is it Balanced?
Tormented Demons; Yes. PvP; Apparently not. Wait wtf... seriously?? someone want to verify this? I've tested it tons of times, and I cant say 100% proof, but I am fairly certain its a 50-150% of your max hit regardless of anything (aside from TD's). Meaning in single combat you always hit 50%-150% of your max, regardless of Prayer, SOL, Ely, Divine, Dung Shields, Ect.. I don't have a Ely/Divine to test it personally, but I would assume if prayer doesn't effect the mechanic of the special , nothing else would either. EDIT: @Ancient RE: Safe PvP Keep in mind the special is different in multi than it is in single combat. Most Safe PvP areas are multi-combat and thus the special does not hit though prayer, or have damage bonuses. In multi its just a normal hit, that hits 2 additional targets for 50% and 25%. Stone has a Divine you can test on. Ask him :]

Flaming
Precisely. I'd also extend that to those who don't like to be questioned or justify their points. Then they just get ridiculous and call in their girly mates as they can't handle what they've started. Lot of that going on, on here lately. Rich from someone whose been proven wrong numerous times... Unless you're on a community to assume you're going to be right 100% of the time, being wrong is bound to happen. So really, I don't see what you're proving by mentioning that unless you're just trying to troll the other user...which is kind of the point of this whole topic. You're a really smart guy and you're often right, but it's how you present your opinion that matters the most. Everyone here has a very absolute frame of mind, and some people don't like that because it's unwelcoming. Exact opposite, Jr's been trolling a number of threads lately. Attempting to isn't the same thing as actually doing so. There is a lack of 'intelligent trolling' on these boards. Back in my day, trolling meant something. What's the difference between Trolling and Flaming, anyway? I'm sure there's a grey spot somewhere

It isn't. End of story. I think it's funny, The Economic Problem almost doesn't exist in RuneScape, except for Rares. On Topic; I don't get why Inflation is "worse" than Deflation. Not sure where the quote is, but I'm sure it's implied somewhere. Can someone care to prove it?

Tip.it Times - 17th October 2010
In a good economy its faster to cut ivy for 99 woodcutting and buy your own fletching/fire making supplies (given you make decent money per hour - id say as low as 200k) In the lack of an economy you will cut yews to 99 - make yew longs (collecting and making yourown bow strings as well) you will then cut past 99 for the remaining yew logs needed. Then cut some more for firemaking (see why an economy is needed yet?) So around 30mil wc xp (and probably a year of playing or more) you will have 99 wc (30mil xp most likely) 99 fletching and 99 firemaking. I wouldnt call it laziness as much as more efficient His argument is that you should play for 50 years to max out. If you don't, then you're just lazy. EDIT - @jrhairychest; Why is it lazy? You haven't answered the question. I can make obvious statements too. Godswords are part of the game. We are clicking on pixels. We can talk ingame. Oh, and whilst you're at it, give me a picture of your empty GE history

Korasi's Sword: is it Balanced?
However, we are talking mainly about PvP, so special restores are irrelevant. Korasi->Dclaws requires risking 28.5m, and the Vigour itself. I'd say it's still balanced, quite well thought out.

Self-sufficiency is known to be objectively inefficient. Unless you actually enjoy that, I wouldn't recommend doing so.

Combat triangle discussion
Very true, also you could add that range risks much less as a rule of thumb, although void is sometimes risked. Well, Ranged is only good against it's own levels. I would like to see a maxed ranged tank beat a maxed warrior 'tank'. Hell, maxed ranged tanks even have difficulty downing maxed zerkers.

Korasi's Sword: is it Balanced?
I dunno, I have a habit of quoting the last post on a similar subject, but I get offtopic alot. At Katori; I understand that, I was only trying to explain the Dragon Claw mechanics, so people will actually understand how it works. It is quite precisely the 60% special that keeps the Korasi 'not overpowered', because if it was just 5% less, Ring of Vigour could be used to double special rush on people protecting from melee.

Korasi's Sword: is it Balanced?
The RuneScape Wiki seems to be pretty accurate on how Dragon Claws work. I think I should copy pasta before people jump to conclusions without understanding how the special works Basically you have three chances of dealing double damage, one chance of dealing 1 and a half times damage, and one chance of completely failing the special. Oh - And are we talking about PvP balancing? or PvM?

Korasi's Sword: is it Balanced?
What does it mean to be a melee-based magic attack if it's not affected by attack or defense? :-s Even though it has 100% accuracy, the game still counts it as a "combat type". In this case, the weapon is a magic-based melee attack (sorry I had a typo on that earlier) due to the fact it makes TD's protect from magic. If it wasn't set to a particular combat style, it would not alter the TD's prayer change at all. TD's are pretty much the only way to accurately identify the combat type of an item. So how do you know it's magic-based melee and not a straight-up magic attack? Depends on how you define the two. I don't think there's a big distinction in this case because defense plays no role. It's odd because it uses strength to calculate damage, and needs to be used within one square of your opponent. Everything else is magic. Ya. If you wanted to get technical, its really a magic attack with melee constraints and damage calculated on melee stats. But at that point, its much easier to just call it a magic-based melee attack since it hits like a melee attack with the damage of magic. Either way, like ancient said, it ignores defense. The only place the attack style matters is TD's, so it doesn't really matter too much what it is in PVP. Playing with it more at house party dungeons, it really is an excellent KO weapon for players running away. I think that might be what Jagex had in mind when they designed it. I've always been curious - Does it really ignore defence? I have two hypothesis for it. Hypothesis one; The 'accuracy roll', with the roll of Opponent's Defence vs Your Own Attack, would be ignored, and it would just hit a number between 50%-150% of your max hit. Hypothesis two; if your Attack Roll gets beaten by the Defence Roll of the opponent, you would deal 50% of your max hit. Which one is more likely?

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Fixed it for you. It's too late for that, now! -------- In all honesty, fakey people. I don't mean fakey as in flakey (commonly correlated), but people who feel they have to change their personality to be accepted. I mean, I'ma be straight up, it's one thing if you pick your nose and sneeze on keyboards (one lady at my work), but if you're just a nerd, dork, intelligent, unintelligent, rational, irrational, dazed, focused, fat, slim, ugly, attractive, rich, or poor person, then just be that person. I mean... [cabbage]. I can't stand it when someone tries to appear poor when they're rich, or rational when they're not. I mean, some people just have higher iqs/are more rational, they're not better than you in anyway. So stop trying to change yourself. I know this sounds sappy hall marky, but I see people on this forum change who they are to be accepted, and I'm perplexed as to why they do. Also happens irl all the time. The human condition is confusing. Why is it not okay to change? Changing one's personality is fine, but pretending to be someone else is a different story. Beggars are a good example of pretending to be someone you're not; some may actually be earning $60,000 a year, but beg for the tax free money they get 'just for lulz'. Which is why I hate them, especially ones that make up really obvious lies like "Oh, I need 80c to get a bus to the city. Could you spare some change?" or "Ninjas robbed my family, need $5 for food". I would say pretending to be stupid is just as worse, if not more, though.

Random Questions
Sally method - Using a black salamander on the Magic style, instead of using Slayer Dart. AZ's is a level 85 monster with 850lp, directly under an altar (The "Chaos Temple"). They are actually called Armoured Zombies. Tokkuls are only obtainable through killing Tzhaar monsters, doing Fight Caves or Fight Pits. JaGex nerfed any obsidian item selling in exchange for them. Not sure about the holiday event. If you want to gain Smithing xp via superheating gold ores, try using a furnace too. You can superheat whilst you smith.

Korasi's Sword: is it Balanced?
you do realize claws can hit over 1000 right That argument doesn't quite fly when you're relying on a total of 8 different rolls of the dice in your favour. You'd have to hit four times, and be at near max hit for each of those attacks. I guess this really calls for some experiments, but there's some serious power behind magic based melee. As said before, you know nothing about how Claws work. Try and explain, fully, how a Dragon Claw special hit is calculated.

Flaming
Albiet this thread being like a week or two old, I think it deserves a bump. There's interesting points brought up in this thread; http://forum.tip.it/topic/277803-u-mad/ How accepted is 'Trolling' in the online community? Should trolling be banned, or be a mutable offense, or should trolling be socially acceptable? Where do we draw the line? Intelligent trolling requires a very small manipulation in wording to win an argument, not pretending to be stupid, or rich. There are many ways to be annoying in RuneScape, without actually breaking any of the JaGex rules. All too often people cry "U mad?" and "It's only a game/pixels". Hmm... Edit - Good examples would be the RSOF and RSC.

The very same. Well done, my good man. At Bows; Have you told her about it? Does she know about your online activities? Hmm. Would be interesting to see the reaction if you told her you admitted to starin' at her girly parts, on the internet. Today, I woke up with 2 hours sleep. I feel like I'm ready to pass out. What do? Eyes bloodshot and stuff :x Half term next week wooo@@@
