  1. Use the same email address to sign up for everything. People using multiple e-mails!? This is MADNESS!!! I create a disposable one whenever I sign up to anything that seems shady (free movie downloads, etc). Who doesn't though?

Unnatural is perhaps one of the most misused word in the English language, save irony. Many natural food substances contain some form of drug (by definition), and most of them certainly don't have damaging side effects. Besides, how is the 'naturalness' of something relevant to whether its good for you? Rejecting medicine because it's technically classed as a 'drug' seems rather foolish, as it's purpose is rather different to drugs used for recreation. Yes, there may be side effects to certain types of medicine, but overall, they aid the healing processes and helps people stay healthy, with a greater overall positive benefit to oneself and to society.
  3. What about... skeptics? No, really, people who take a slightly cynical view of the world, a bit like me.
  4. Jagex is always banning a lot of bots. The problem is that 'a lot' isn't even scratching the surface of the symptom. Fix'd Unspam: I didn't know the new weapon are *that* strong >.>
  5. http://www.cracked.com/funny-3809-internet-argument-techniques/ There's far too much of that happening on these very forums.
  6. A song is on loop inside your mind, except you can't hear lyrics. You can sort of make them out, but they lack clarity, making it inscrutable. You don't know the name of it either, so you spend hours on google trying to search for the aforementioned song, but to no avail. You start pulling your hair out, and some weeks later, you suddenly remember. You think you can memorize it without noting it down, but you manage to forget it, like trying to recall a dream when you start hearing the song again. This is the bane of my existence.
  7. That's rather annoying. I've lost a post that I was about to submit as my computer restarted itself. I'd say I look for similar qualities in Tipiters as I do with women Ability to think and reason logically. Ability to communicate effectively and coherently. Ability to demonstrate prowess in a particular field or activity (Economics expert, or a good journalist) Someone who contributes with constructive criticism and praise where appropriate Someone who's somewhat open-minded to new ideas. Someone who doesn't come off as rude, immature, arrogant or pretentious. Someone who has the drive for big goals, yet are able to also be somewhat realistic Be respectful of all people regardless of background, ethnicity, colour, etc. Be approachable and respectable (good people skills) Fun, sociable character. I think I'd name: Crocefisso, Stringcheze (a year prior to ban), compfreak847, and Pere Grin. There may be more, but that's what comes to mind. EDIT - Whilst inciting 'fights' may be wrong, I feel one must be able to stand their ground and defend their own views in a constructive way in order to be considered a 'good member'.
  8. Money annoys you? Care to elaborate on the reasoning behind your train of thought?

Solution: Stop breathing with your mouth.
  10. This.....in a good way....because it almost makes no sense... It makes perfect sense. That part specifically is him mocking the anti-religious side of the forum, though it goes with the whole post, which is him mocking the posters that go out of their way to appear intelligent and fail to realize that nobody actually understands what they're actually saying. Basically, the people that try too hard. ...Or so I think. It is a pretty annoying post style. I'm glad that nobody here is that extreme about it. OT: The whole "You're <x>" comeback. Ex: That's stupid. You're stupid! No, you're stupid for making that pathetic excuse of a response. YES =D! omg. What I am trying to say is, many people who are not as smart as they project themselves to be (either consciously or subconsciously) feel insecure about their intelligence, so they must beef it up with lingo that isn't needed. And when you catch them on it, they explode at you, because they are hoping you are so caught off guard by what they call you (be it misogynist, etc. idk. that word just came to mind XD) in that you won't question their logic, and or rationality of their states of mind. That being said, while this is a bad habit, I tend to assume people with the words "logic," "thesis," "intelligence" or any bizarre inane scientific fact in their rs/tif name are not as smart as they think. Which brings me on to my next to ones: 1) people who assume. *points up* *blushes* yes, I assume a lot as well. But still... it truly irks me. 2) people who try to act philosophical. Though I tend to not be bothered as much. But when I drive around town people try to sound deep when they say "no man stands so tall as to when to help a child." Uhh, unless that child is 6 feet whatever, that man will not be standing as tall as they are physically capable of doing so. If you want to put the message across that helping kids es muy bueno, say it. Or like when people point out obvious stuff, but then try to make it sound mysterious so everyone's brain reboots and they "omg" in their pants. With something like "Have you ever wondered, why the duck, does not try to speak english?" or "Has anyone noticed if you filmed traffic with a camera, it'd be like... a.... river... the flow of human life, it's truly a masterpiece." (the periods symbolize dramatic pauses) UHHHH ! ! ! ! ! ! !one! who cares its boring as heck. Also: This annoys me, but I'm really only posting because idk if other people think this was as well. If anyone can tell, I LOVE originality. I lurve it so much. So serious, it's literally what my life revolves around. No trolling. But when I think of something, and someone does it first that REALLY BUGS ME ! ! Like, for example, this kid in my class had this goddamn uncanny way of asking the exact same questions using the exact same lingo as I would, literally moments before I would. So i'd try to jump the gun and ask first/and or explain first and he still beat me to it. So when this girl asked me for help someone said "Don't ask Sam, he just copies Doug (the guy I mentioned) Dougs the smart one. ARGH ! ! ! ! (it got creepy at one point though.) I guess you could say I was jealous, but more I just felt disappointed. Like I felt like I had to think of questions before i knew questions to ask. Anyways, moving on. Like, lets say I think of a really cool movie about cars that turn into robots, and fight. Next thing I know, I see a transformers commercial. (Lets say this was the first commercial ever aired, so I honestly did think of the idea by myself) I would say they aren't original at all, and i hate them. And I can't figure out why they are not original, until a few months later I realize it was because I guess I felt they stole my idea. (Though thats not possible L) If Rahila is reading this, I guess thats my take on that band you posted. I swear on my life I had an idea of starting a band similar, minus the screaming, with different melodies etc. Though the idea being the same. Anyways. If anyone can tell, my brain is slowly starting to turn off, thats why this post is kind of rambling.... Hmm, it's an old post I'm quoting but I see this quite a lot. An appeal to verbosity I'd say - except they don't actually understand their own words. They merely substitute a vowel with a 'posh' sounding word in order to appear more intelligent. I don't mind people who have a great vocabulary whom are able to use it correctly, but when you butcher the English language with nonsensical claims... I pray for one's death.

I'm sure it will go smoothly! Where are you going to live in the UK? I was looking through my calendar and I found out that I move to Cambridge in TWO WEEKS. I'm really nervous about moving to University, I'm always scared about "the unknown". Anyone else going through this right now? Canterbury :) I'm sure everything will be fine for you! It is a little scary but you'll be having fun soon enough. I hope to see you at the next RuneFest :)
  12. The loss in runescape is also not comparable to the loss in casinos. $100,000 is not comparable to the loss of casinos? I'd say for some, it is. One can afford to lose 100% of their RS assets, no real consequences and you can continue playing and having fun. If that happens in real life gambling, there are actual repercussions [foreclosure, inability to pay for food or healthcare for self or dependents, etc.] too numerous to list. Pixels aren't really comparable to real currency unless you make your real living from selling pixels. Yes, I was referring to the goldsellers.

  14. On the scale of $600 a day, that is a lot of tax that needs paying, so I'd say it's likely that goldfarmers would tax evade. It would also look like money laundering, which would cause unnecessary hassle too. On the legality side of rwt and bot scripting; it really depends how well the argument is given - could the ToS be considered as a valid legally binding contract would be the question. If it is, then it would be breaking the law.
  15. This isn't even against the law (Although I believe China made goldfarming illegal) Regarding hacking/recovering: Misuse of Computer act(s). Regarding gold farming and rwting: Sale of property that belongs to JaGex Ltd. Tax evasion. Regarding botting: Certain copyright laws. Tortorous interference laws (I think?)
  16. I share your pain. Msn is a [bleep]
  17. Has JaGex ever thought 'What does the consumer want'? Right now, we don't have a botting problem. It's a gameplay problem. @freestyler: Ip banning is extremely ineffective, and has many fundamental flaws that makes it an extremely inviable method of bot control. First of all, it's very easy to evade and hide ip addresses, thus making the efforts futile. There's also the many associated problems with ip address detection such as when family members play on a shared connection through a wireless network. It would be extremely unfair to ban people on the basis of their ip alone, given that it's not even proof of botting - there are a whole spectrum of reasons why multiple players use the same ip address. I don't see how your proposed method is going to work. You clearly need to rethink your supposed 'solution', and actually research what an ip address is. EDIT - Viruses are definitely not the solution. That would violate many computer misuse acts in the UK.
  18. You haven't seen the half of it. There are bot armies that single people alone run, with over 1k bots harvesting 1.3b a day. It's not a joke, it's a problem. We need a solution.
  19. Trying to resist the urge of responding to a troll. "Ramsay is a bully and his managerial skills are abhorrent. He's also a compulsive liar! He claimed he played for Rangers first team when he was merely an apprentice taken on by Rangers and never played for the first team. He's repeatedly lied to Tana (his wife) about his adultery with a [bleep] and his book is nothing but an attempt to make fillet steak out of horse meat. He's just a lying sociopath. Those that don't see through his facade are total fools and need to get a grip on reality" ~ TheCusterCat, aka DigbyCat. EDIT - There's more "Ramsay is aggressive, intimidating and a nasty bully. Why he needs to behave like an absolute arsehole on his REALITY TV programs, shows that he is just a nasty. The guy has a mouth on him like a blocked prison cell toilet. Why? Because he is a bully boy , with a short fuse and utter contempt for his fellow man. He is a sociopath. Ramsay, who markets himself as a ‘devoted’ family man, is accused of a series of trysts with 'professional mistress' Sarah Symonds. He is just a BULLY!" Indeed, it is well written with at least 10 fallacies in his argument.

    Talking of steaks...
  21. Assume Nothing replied to Skull's topic in Off-Topic
I would post to judge about the steak, but I need to know a little more about it first before offering criticism - what cut of steak was it, and how thick? Was it well seasoned, and what was the sauce if any? Generally, rare steaks have good flavour profiles but it compromises it's texture - beef too rare is a little chewy, especially when it's poorly marbled with large strips of fat (NY strip, Sirloin). However, that doesn't quite apply for Filet Mignon for some strange reason (I guess it's tender and juicy regardless). I'd say the perfect doneness for most steaks is medium rare, but that's probably just me.
  22. I see someone's name in italics on the bottom of the page... and they just log out or decide not to post. I want to see your post dammit ._.
  23. You have to realize that by gathering resources and selling it, they're bringing 0 gold into the economy - it's simply being redistributed around. Part of the reason there is demand for RSGP is because there's a market for it, essentially 'merchanting' real money using virtual currencies. Since a large supplier doesn't want to waste time with selling small amounts, they'd lower their prices in order to match demand, thus you see buyers who can purchase 10b+, perhaps up to 50b+. The second reason is because there's many money based skills and items attainable, but at a very high cost - typically including Torva, Divine Spirit Shields, Partyhats, Third Age, Summoning/Prayer/Herblore/Crafting/Cooking/Magic skills, etc. With so much reliance on GP, and the willingness of players to cheat, there will obviously be an underground market. Last but not least is the reintroduction of staking - some players prefer to start with a big cash-pile so it's easier to risk a little without getting cleaned, thus they'd buy a few hundred million worth of gold. However, this doesn't mean that it's ethical, or morally right - it still violates the RuneScape code of conduct and it's ToS, so it's still not endorsed/encouraged.

Regarding breakfast, statistically speaking, most people who eat breakfast weight ~5lbs less than those who don't. I'd have to find that study, so just take my word for it for now. I remember reading on cracked that that's a myth, and apparently skipping breakfast actually helps you lose weight. Don't know how reliable cracked is, though. That wouldn't make much sense - I think that borders on starvation instead. @Siobaby; I believe 'Stewing Beef' is the cut generally referred to as 'Chuck beef', preferably 80/20. Also, apparently making pasta sauces with Italian sausages is superior to using ground beef :o
  25. Assume Nothing replied to Skull's topic in Off-Topic
You're missing the point of having a breakfast. Breakfast is supposed to provide energy that lasts throughout the day, keep you from cravings during lunch (salad isn't necessarily healthy. how much dressing do you put on that thing? and do you actually satisfy your hunger when you have it?), raise concentration levels, and to keep metabolism high. By having breakfast late, you miss at least three of the key reasons (and lose out on the benefits) of having breakfast. I think it would be easier to transition from having a small breakfast since you don't feel hungry in the morning, to having a large® breakfast. I think you're more likely to fail to transition into the habit if you shifted the schedule...
