  1. introducing the The DG Gate Sheet it's just a google doc spreadsheet. Public so anybody can type on it. I'm going to encourage players to use it now. As I can place it over my screen as a transparent overlay. You can too of course, but you'd need the relevant programs/codes and I don't expect all players to do that with keylogger concerns and all that jazz. BUT as long as they can alt tab and use this page. It's pretty nice. Hopefully when all my coding is done, the future of DGS keying will look something like this: I'm finishing up coding on the paint image, so that it actually updates properly. But otherwise, things are going smoothly.
  2. Overlord is ready I coded a script that will send a message, every minute, to skype (even if RS is the active window) Saying a floor, and how many minutes have passed, and a randomized reminder It's pretty neat. It can send commands to windows I can't even see. Very handy. I dunno if I will keep it as it is. but changing the messages as the easy part. Next up I'm going to try to make a program that takes a screenshot of the dungeon map And then puts it as a transparent overlay at the top left corner of my computer monitor.
  3. I want a vid of this with Skype sound enabled. the last time we tried that the team failed mimes 10 times in a row. DG shots. 2 shots of alcohol per death. Good times. Dont drink and Runescape! OT: Can't wait to see them 15 min floors! Best I've done with DGS was 19 min floors plural? Hah I'll be happy if I get a single sub 15 :P. I haven't keyed sub 20 since the floor timer update. I've gotten just under 20 min 30 seconds tho, but that's the best I've done so far.
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8RCQDDsMpU The objective is simple: Key a 15 minute floor or under. Floor Times DGS Accuracy Project Thank you and don't forget to support DGS! The DG Gate Sheet [spoiler=DGS medals] Post in my blog to confirm your medals. Remember, round your floor times up! 15 mins and 1 second -> 16 minute medal. [spoiler=Requirements for the 15 minute floor] 5:5 Difficulty C6 complexity Large Map Size All Rooms Open Occult or Warped floor plan Abandons floor plans do NOT count. Must be 0 deaths. No 10 HP pures on team for the sake of reducing monster combat level. And no cheese in general. The goal is an all out balls to the wall 15 minute floor. No Cheap Tricks. A straight up test of skill. It will be GLORIOUS. [spoiler=About my Keying] I C2 floors 1-40. I pay friends 1 mil gp/hour to clear the dungeon while i train fishing. I do C6 5:5's for all the remaining floors. All rooms in the floor are cleared unless extenuating circumstances arise. (which I will document during future floors) I dungeoneer with DGS exclusively, although I do make sure to pick up a few random newbies in the CC every now and then. Additionally, I want to bring my DGS floor average under 24 mins. That is including the random newbies I pick up. And perhaps under 22 mins eventually. I've lost my hex since the last time Jagex deleted it, and I am gunning to get a replacement. I use skype to for keying whenever possible. I am also a bit of a hard ass with peculiar rules during floors. I forbid the looting of table food, unless there is a ramokee room or something similar within 3 doors. I highly recommend piety/turmoil flashing and proper safe spotting and prayer management. I demand that all players have a gate stone dropped at some point in time. If you don't create a new gatestone immediately after gatestone teleporting, you better damn well be doing it soon. And I disapprove of people who are afraid of dying. The best way to learn to die less, is to die until you learn how not to. Hopefully when a get a nice desktop, I'll start vidding a few of my floors as well
  5. I'm at an average of 27.19 mins per floor with DGS atm, Bah that's so bad lol. have you guys been recording your floor times since the update?
  6. no update this week, update server is down.
  7. So someone brought up an interesting point. Who would be the NPCs that sell said capes?
  8. the update is the pirate quest. Jagex actually released the update teaser for that last week but apparently didn't come through with the update :P so i guess they didn't feel like releasing new update teasers for the same thing.
  9. There was a period in time when i was keying for DGS without a hood.
  10. u make it sound like i don't enjoy yelling at people lol
  11. So you're saying that just because I'm ranked in a Jmod CC i'm instantly a suck-up? Because that's not how I recall being asked if I wanted to be added...but hey, whatever you want to believe. As for this latest bug, I doubt it was intentional. Since the ROW wasn't intended to work with LS/CS, with their limited testing time, I'm sure they just overlooked it. It's not acceptable at all, and someone should be held to pay for it, but I do understand. When upper management demands a high quantity of results, quality suffers *stares at BP*... i think u took it a little too personally.
  12. Yes, but they run the update on several computers well before it even goes "live". we can't prove it, but i highly suspect that a few jagex employees exploited it. I recall mod andrew talking a long time ago (like 7 years ago) about corruption within jagex. About how some Jmods kept a large stash of rares for themselves after holiday, and how he was aware that some of these Jmods would alch said rares for fun occasionally. but as for more current events, i have no evidence.
  13. I think the capes should all have minimal stats. And in particular the Uber cape. Because if you love Melee - Strength, attack and defence, but not Dungeoneering and getting 99 in all skills. Then you will not be able to get Uber cape if it turns out to have crazy melee stats. Seriously, why should a player who loves 3 skills have to get 99 in all skills as well reach CRAZY 104M/120 dungeoneering? So with that said, i hope that all capes are decorative and if they do have stats that it can't compare with current capes. I don't see a problem with say, the quest cape or the uber cape giving +12 prayer though. Because you need to have access to soul wars capes to unlock those two capes anyways.
  14. I hope one of them gives +12 prayer, I'm tired of wearing the soul wars cape
  15. I've seen a lot of players that I'd personally consider prominent leave in the past. However, usually pro players are driven away because they think the runescape community sucks. They aren't driven out by Jagex's actions directly. The only people I've seen threaten to leave, or leave runescape over Jagex blunders have more or less been anonymous nobodies. Like, in that regard, I'll concede that w00x symbolizes a regression for Jagex in that regard. But at the end of the day, runescape "idols" aren't as respected or as influential as in other games. Both in regards to the game developers and the community.
  16. I got just over 330k fishing xp over 33 c2's so that number was pretty constant for me, and i got around 12 fish per spot, with around 5 spots average per dungeon(my max was 13, lowest 0). I'm not sure, but fishing level might affect the fish per spot number too(as i'm definitely getting more crabs from spots than morays). I'm not quite sure on this, but we should all atleast try out artisan ring and see if it saves resources for fishing aswell, which would up the number of fish you get per spot. As for bulwak, i haven't gotten any yet, but the runes you get at start coupled with the mage armor should definitely allow you to kill the beast, and if that doesn't work, quickswitch to mage ring. I have a csb bound so that allows to do atleast some bosses faster(sagit, bulwak, rammer). i guess i got really unlucky my last 20 floors then <_<"
  17. I was fishing all the blue crabs and morays. and no i didn't have cosmics, but that shouldn't make a difference of more than 15 seconds a floor. We're talking about a difference on the order of a minute a floor. I have no idea how you can do around 1,5 minutes a floor slower than us, and even then, i did the test on the slowest floors(furnished) and without cosmics, and still averaged 6 minutes per floor. It might be about the skill of dropping, or it might be about not planning gd's with fish, but you are definitely doing something wrong. im averaging faster than 6 minutes a floor, the but i dont get enough fishing spots to get 100k xp/hour. You're talking about 6 fishing spots per floor, average. I the most i've seen post update is like 9. im averaging more along the lines of 4. cuz 1 fishing spot is about 12 blue crabs or 10 morays for me, which is about 1700 xp a fishing spot.
  18. I was fishing all the blue crabs and morays. and no i didn't have cosmics, but that shouldn't make a difference of more than 15 seconds a floor. We're talking about a difference on the order of a minute a floor.
  19. ive personally experienced about 70-80k xp/hour but supposedly duo is even faster.
  20. I'd like manually collected data on how the scroll of cleansing affects various potions. Because jagex has tweaked this scroll so many times that I'm not quite sure how it works anymore. But like, I'm busy IRL and I don't have time to do this myself. I'm fine with doing overloads myself if you don't have the herblore level for it. So I'm only expecting players who are capable of making all potions up to and including super prayer. A list of all potions will be provided, and I will ask you to report the data in a specific format. I'd like data on pretty much every potion that is not one of the following: A Juju potion A barbarian Potion A Dungeoneering Potion An Herb Tar Guthix Balance Tea I'll place a starting offer at 10mil for a full set of data. I'll take the lowest offer for the full set of data, but of course I will not take offers from people I don't think are trustworthy. (as anybody can just make up data and run off with the money) But yeah, the offers out there.
  21. thunderous isnt that slow. He only is with incompetent teammates. A team of maxed players should be able to take out a thunderous in under 99 prayer points. If they all turmoil, and never mess up. That's pretty fast considering how fast prayer drains with pray melee, turmoil on. And factoring in the fact that thunderous drains prayer. runebound and skeletal trio on the other hand, can still give higher level teams trouble. Because no matter how you cut it, you'll need food because someone's going to be hit for a [cabbage]ton of damage when you fight those bosses. Thunderous will never deal damage to a good team. Grave creeper doesn't deal massive hits to singular players. You shouldn't take much damage from a necrolord if any. and flesh spoiler is one of the easiest bosses in dungeon. I'd recommend doing occult floors on the highest floor available. People should learn to thunderous. If that means having a few slow floors to learn things the hard way, so be it.
  22. These drops aren't exactly common... just how commonly will you get a rare herb drop? Like maybe how many times per X hours while doing kuradel slayer tasks, for example. either way I don't like the idea of Jagex touching herb farming in any way. Coal's another story since that's mostly collected by bots. Why couldn't jagex just invent some more new content like vecna's skull? I guess that would take too much effort.
