  1. What? variety is the spice of life. What's wrong with wanting to be able to swap out my gear regularly, over the hundreds of hours it would take for 120 dg. I mean granted DG is already a very varied skill. But 110-120 DG is about half the time you'll be spending DGing. And over that time, you'll only encounter 1 new boss, 1 new drop, and 1 more bind. I'm with Rocked here. I'm kinda bored.
  2. dungeoneering armor clips horribly with capes. Apparently removing capes from dungeoneering made the artwork in daemonheim much easier.
  3. I think the number of binds is fine as it is. Unless the new bind were restricted to a rather useless item such as gloves/boots/pickaxes/toolkits/etc I agree it'd be pretty game breaking. But my problem with the bind system is how it restricts you to certain jobs. If bind arrows/celestial box, you're kinda screwed out of laws for c1s. If you bind a hex, you're screwed out of some armor if you want to key. We definitely shouldn't start a floor with more than 4 binded items of any sort, but I really want to be able to switch up what those 4 items are. My hexhunter isn't gonna do me any good if I want to key. Not having a plate isn't that bad for keying. Once you learn to pray switch correctly and soul split flash, you shouldn't be using more food than the normal people. Knowing how to reduce damage is one of the things that separate decent keyers from pro keyers. Don't just randomly walk in every room praying mage, pray flash, soul split flicking, and knowing how to pick up food quickly are importantly skills to keying. prayer flashing is only really useful in some rooms though. If there's like only a single monster, or if they're a bunch of meleers spread out all over the place. Sometimes you just need to be able to tank some damage. Especially if you're dealing with shades. regardless hexhunter is still inferior to armor for keying. and ammo binds are inferior to laws for c1s. and etc. I still think variety would make DGing funner. Even if it's not 100% necessary. Either way the number of people who use prayer to your degree is extemely low. There are under 3k 100+ DGers a lot of them stop DGing once they hit 100 DG a lot of them aren't exactly pro because they only just hit 100 DG, which isn't as prestigious a level as it used to be. A lot of the good keyers already hit 120, and some of which stopped. Honestly I wouldn't say there are more than 50 players in all of runescape who key with those prayer techniques.

  5. only news we heard so far was in the warped floor FAQ They said that they might release a dungeoneering related quest, where the reward was an extra bind slot.
  6. Since when did F2P have access to anything above fractite? oh, i thought they got up to lvl 70 gear.
  7. I heard metafilter does a pretty good job of community control. But don't they charge like $5 for an acount? I'd imagine that'd do the trick in most cases.
  8. well, karils and handcannon are hands down the best DPS weapons out there. The expense of the handcannon was on the order of 500k-1 mil gp/hour to fire due to explosions though (it explodes about 1 in 400-700 shots dependint on FM level, meaning more than 1 handcannon explosion per hour on average) Well, I was JUST about to tell you that firing karils was expensive, but it seems bolt racks are at an all time low of ~190 gp ea. That means only up to 380k gp/hour spent on ammo. Which is really not that much money considering its about 20% faster DPS without fero ring, even more with fero ring. secondly, it's worth noting that full range void actually gives +20% ranged max hit, not 10% contrary to what the RS knowledgebase says. So if the target is of sufficiently low defense, it is better than a full slayer helmet + range armor.
  9. yes that. but i don't think it ever worked with brews.
  10. the one where if you restore 1 LP the moment you get Koed, you survive
  11. a Katagon 2H has better DPS on unarmored targets than a rune scimitar at lvl 89 strength. Granted you can't have an endless stream of monsters in dungeoneering like you can in stronghold of security. But if you're interested in DG xp, that's the way to go. dungeoneering fishing is up to 200k xp/hour for thee short time fishing spots last too, which is amazing even in members let alone f2p.
  12. efficiency is relative though. Nothing is inherently efficient or inefficient. Things are only more efficient or less efficient than the other. And that definition still defines what is more efficient than whatever else. People think efficiency is this elitist measure of how good of a player you are. It's not. efficiency is just doing good, given your circumstances, regardless of whatever they are. It's not like making under 5m gp/hour or whatever makes you inefficient. I mean if you're in the mood to chat, then go ahead and chat. Not chatting when you feel like chatting, or slaying when you don't feel like slaying are most definitely not ideal, and probably not efficient.
  13. the jadinko crawled in one hole and crawled out another
  14. except 10k tokens could be used to save 900k gp when repairing chaotics with tokens. a law staff is less useful than 900k tokens. A law staff isn't WORTH 900k TOKENS, and unlike some people here, I never mentioned law staffs at all.... I'm confused by your post. He made a typo, quick, stab him over the internet!
  15. If I recall properlyl from the last time I went, each burrow has 2 possible outcomes. Although it kinda seems like 1 outcome is more likely than the other.
  16. I'm thinking of getting Blood - HHB - 2H - Hood as a 4 bind combo, for the massive offense. I'm kinda getting used to just making ranged armor in dungeon, and I really think it's nice if done properly. Of course this bind set up absolutely sucks for keying. But I think it would be worth it purely for the purpose of room clearing. and in response to xpx, perhaps flameburst defender would be better than golden precision bracelet. Maybe even primal gauntlets 101 stab, 82 slash, 125 str for flameburst 104 stab, 93 slash, 120 str for golden defender. 92 stab, 76 slash, 132 str for primal gauntlet so the flameburst is definitely better for stab than golden precision, golden precision is better for slashing armored targets though. granted you can't just have the convenience of keeping a surgebox wielded the entire time, or the +5 magic bonus from a golden precision.
  17. That would be an awsome reward. that would be a rather useless reward IMO :P but i guess it can be useful for a handful of monsters. but yeah the Jdev who heads desert quests also heads the slayer skill. so, that would definitely not be unusual. The last desert quest with sumona was slayer related afterall. And the chaos elemental hints that sumona will be involved in this new desert quest.
  18. I think gaming in general breeds/aggregates people with an arrogant/rude attitude. I just don't think it's a big deal. It's just how things are, and I don't think it's just in Runescape. If you let it get to you too much, you won't have much fun. Not in Runescape, nor in the majority of other online video game.
  19. well my spreadsheets tell you the gp/xp ignoring the opportunity cost, if that's what you're looking for. Just be patient since my summoning spreadsheet loads slower than other ones. I really would prefer not to overthink summoning but if you insist.
  20. Nobody's really made an efficiency formula, because, it's hard to put a value on charms. Because there's so many ways to collect them, they are untradeable, and the price people place on their time vary, and the ability to collect charms varies based on stats.
  21. -There are a few vines (withered vines, pungent vines) that are currently only useful as bait, and not for potions. Do you have plans to implement potions that use these items? -Is it safe to assume that the constitution potion idea has been scrapped? -Can you leak the equation for the weekly bonus XP for catching all God-Jadinkos and Normal-Jadinkos? Pretty please with a chinchompa on top? -Scrolls of cleansing work on the new Clean Juju Herb + Juju Vial -> Juju Potion (unf) but not Juju Potion (unf) + Secondary -> Juju Potion. Was this intentional? -Are the God-Jadinkos inclined towards any habitat combinations? In other words, would a Zamorak Jadinko be more inclined towards a Dark Pit each week, than say a Saradomin Jadinko? Or is it uniformly random? -It seems some Jadinkos only drop certain types of seeds. Carrion Jadinkos seem to only drop Herb Vine seeds in my experience for example. Are certain Jadinkos actually restricted to certain drops? Or perhaps this is just a matter of personal luck. If they are restricted, can you provide information on what types of drops each breed of Jadinko offers? -Where did Papa Momba's Zombie Farmer assistant come from?
  22. Can you explain the xp/hour and what your doing? i timed ~175k xp/hour with draconic/common jadinkos at 93 hunter and witchdoctor hat + pants. even more is of course possible with scentless potions and zamorak juju potions, which I did not use.
  23. 99 for steel titans, 95 for turmoil, and 92-96(depending on much ur willing to pot) for overloads.
  24. It doesn't need to give XP though. It can. Or it can give 0 xp, or anything in between. That's not the important point of the suggestion. People could set up 50:50 Castle wars too, but they don't because the reward isn't that important. I've said this like 5 times already, but the point of PVP dungeoneering isn't for the sake of XP. It's for the sake of having fun, PVPing.
