He asked for you to cite your sources, it doesn't really matter what language he does that in. But it does look bad if you act defensive instead of actually citing your sources. also, you should recognize that tip.it's max hit calculator isn't exactly up to date. Also, have you fixed your accuracy equation yet? Last I checked, you still had accuracy as a function of weapon speed.

he's estonian, a lot of knowledgeable RS gamers are estonian. The records for most xp in 1 hour for the skilling ladder beta are held by an estonian RS clan. They don't necessarily speak great english, but that doesn't mean they don't know their stuff. Anyways, you really need to cite how you calculated your max hit values. Because you've historically been incorrect the last few times I've seen you making DPS claims. I mean at first glance, you've already calced the slayer helmet bonus incorrectly. It's a 16.67% bonus to damage, not 15% to strength like the KB claims. Please read obliv's max hit thread or something, and double check your work. This is far from the first time you've posted false DPS calculations.

baxers should always crush all ghosts. Whether or not 2h's should slash or crush ghosts depends on how Jagex scales the defense of monsters between high and low levels. However they're notoriously bad at that, so it's actually near impossible for me to know if slashing is better at low levels. But definitely crush high level ghosts. -
Dungeoneering: Binds, Monster Weaknesses, Skills
Grimy_Bunyip replied to 2004_artemis's topic in Help and Advice
that weapon bind logic is for prom and primal gear unfortunately that logic does not carry down consistently to lower tier weapons: in the case of gorg 2h and baxe, the relative difference between gorg 2h and gorg baxe is different from that of primal 2h primal baxe by about 5% in favor of baxe for slash, and 5% in favor of 2h for crush. I'm not gonna comment on weapon binds for gorg gear atm. But prom-primal weapon binds may not be a great indicator since jagex sucks at keeping the weapon balance consistent. -

that's a very intriguing observation, perhaps it's a function of how many monsters you in particular killed. or maybe it's a function of the monsters you were around. we could have a leech follow the GD's and not kill anything and double check. then we could have a leech run to a far corner of the map far away from GD's and check again. -
Training Defence with 1 Attack/Strength, fastest/best way?
Grimy_Bunyip replied to Pivotto's topic in Help and Advice
sacred clay staff > runecrafting staff > red topaz machette in terms of DPS. I THINK all of them don't require strength and attack levels to wield, but im not 100% sure. -

Early heads up, we've changed our application process. The guidelines have yet to be updated, and i personally don't have access to them on TIF. but we have switched to an application form process. -
i don't think it's worth it to craft fire runes even with out of home altars. The idea is you should try to sustain yourself off loot drops. It's not a bad habit, but it seems to be one that becomes less and less useful with faster floors. I'd recommend sticking to elemental fire rune drops, and learning new habits for spare time. Such as planting seeds, prepping ragers, pathing, etc.

yes, but we recommend blazer for CCS users for elemental rune conservation.

who told you that? we encourage the 30 second rule when it comes to suiciding. The last few dungeons ive done 5+ deaths seems to be the norm. Making ragers is 'time wasting'. last few dungeons with who? -

I definitely would not recommend training runecrafting with anything other than ZMI if you want efficiency. fish flingers is most efficient fishing xp at low levels (it is in fact higher xp/hour @ like 60 fishing than @ 99) you're limited to 10, sometimes more fish flingers runs a week. So i recommend doing that until you have the tier 4 or tier 5 tacklebox. c2 fishing afterwards to finish off 99 i recommend LRC superheat mining for 99 mining/smithing/magic recommend livid farm to get farming up to 82-85, and juju farming potion + torstol seeds to 99 zmi for runecrafting until lvl 91-93, then effigy assists pyrelord firemaking in your poh with magic logs still seems to be the dominant method, even though 500k+ xp/hour can be achieved in the jadinko lair supposedly. Low alchemy teak logs for woodcutting jadinkos for hunter, make sure you bring +1 more trap than you can use, as you can set down and dismantle traps simultaneously if you have that spare one agility is straight forward, but i recommend you invest time in finding a good BA team. i wouldnt use it for pyrelord firemaking since that FM xp rate is inherently higher than youll probably get from the horn charges and uh, wouldnt use it for mining either since it would be overkill on the LRC superheat smithing technique thieving, i recommend some for of black jacking or monkey knife fighters. I hear koshing might still be very good, but idk the details. knife fighters definitely aren't viable until much closer to 99. melee + cannon slayer for 99 slayer and ranged and summoning none of the above methods are terribly expensive. you can definitely cover those with the money from torstol farming alone. the issue at hand is the herblore/prayer/construction levels. you'll get a lot of effigies from slayer. But optimally you would still use them on slower skills such as say fishing/runecrafting. I highly recommend you find a good money maker. IE learn to merch, boss hunt, etc. I would recommend nex but ur summoning and herb levels are an issue. perhaps some TD's might still be viable?

what proof do we have that guthix was not worshipped in the third age? IIRC the only proof we have of that, are the words of various mahjarrat from postbags from the hedge. do you have access to the specific comments?

i find it hard to believe that your internet would lag on the order of 0.6 seconds commonly during a floor. You are aware that there is a natural delay between when you click a prayer and when the prayer icon is lit up right? -

the speed difference between baxe and 2h is a game tick. you are at most, losing a game tick in between your multitasking, and only for multitasking that requires 6 game ticks, or in the case that you suck and you simply can't do it in 6 game ticks. let me ask you something What do you think would be the average accuracy of a primal battleaxe over an entire dungeon? please dont use accuracies, nobody's going to remember accuracies on specific monsters with specific setups. Better to just use defense ratings. Not too much data on crush. But baxe is a clear victor on skeletal rangers. It's the mages and warriors that are kinda borderline. Not enough data, but so far the data points to the two being about even. The breakoff, assuming no OVL no Bneck and turmoil flashing 220 and 160 for primal and prom 2h respectively. that makes prom 2h generally inferior, and primal 2h better on forgottens and giant bats by about 8% on forgotten rangers, 11% on mages but baxe is better on zombies, which have ~100 defense rating making the baxe about 3.5% better on zombies. but zombies are more common, have about 2.1x more hitpoints. The same logic applies to other monsters. Dragons, Fire giants, Giant bats might have high defense, but they aren't terribly common. things like shades, spiders, animated pickaxes, animated books, ankous, ghosts. all baxe favored weapons, tend to crop up more often. -

saw that comment on zybez too apparently veracs hits full damage if you switch to that set (although dharoks does not) havent tested tho -
tier 11 rangers have slightly over 130 ish defense. You can calculate it from their max hit, life points, and combat level. but assuming 99 defense and 341 defense bonus, my spreadsheet says you'd be hitting with 193.72 damage per attack on average with overload 130 without overload which is about an average of about 146 damage per hit @ 100% accuracy, and ignoring overloads, youd be hitting 193 damage average with emp fire and 228 with ccs fire surge you'd need sub 75% accuracy for fire surge to be worse with emp fire. and that's ignoring the possibility that tier 11 rangers actually have ~130 ish defense like their ranger counterparts.

are you going to tell me the numbers u put in or not games
-
im pretty sure my numbers don't come out with something where primal 2h + neck + gold precision is somehow better on primal warriors than fire surge.

Looking for a head count. How many people have good enough computer capable of vidding floors at a reasonable FPS (15-25) and at least half resolution? If you simply don't have the software, but your computer can handle it, can you just mention so. Or if you think your computer is on the fringe of being able to handle it or not, leave a comment. I'm making this request for all ranked DGSers, recruit rank and above.
