[hide=Original post.]So. I want to pierce my nose. My parents won't even let me pierce my ears. So there's no way I can just change the location to the center of my face. I'm sixteen. How do I go about getting them to let me? My friend says that I have to stand up for myself and argue. And that I need to eventually reach the boiling point. Otherwise, I'll never be able to do anything they do not approve of. Any suggestions? And I'm not going "OMGZZZ, MY PARENTS ARE SO BAD!" I understand their side. But I think they should let me do what I want to do, as long as it's not unhealthy or really life-altering. Ya dig?[/hide] We can still continue the discussion about whether I should pierce my nose. And if I should attempt to compromise with my parents, or do it and see what their reaction is. But now I want to know what your parents don't let you do so we can dicuss more than facial piercings and how "gay" they are. It can be buying M rated videogames, watching R rated movies, to piercings, clothing, driving.. ANYTHING.
