Just a suggestion, but what if we all try spreading tiny Tip.It logos, like this one here: http://two.drawball.com/33pj934 It should be easier to do, and live for longer, in my opinion.

UK Moving In The Right Direction - Religious 'Marriages' For Gay Couples
I mean to be honest I think it's a valid argument. Not that it's true, but it's a reasonable conclusion that if a baby can only be born with a man and a woman, that both would excel at raising it. A yin and yang approach by all logical means should produce balanced beings, though in reality it rarely does. Not necessarily: http://lesbianlife.about.com/od/families/a/ParentStudy.htm (Sorry for the rather "vocal" article writer, it's the first article Google offered.)

I shouldn't have said you're a bigot, I take that back. It's a result of frustration in general, not with you specifically. I do believe your opinion is ignorant, though. You admit it's based on an instinct, and refuse to "research" it properly.

No. You're trying to be rid of me just because I have a different opinion to you. Also calling me a bigot simply for having a non-pc, 'controversial' if you like, opinion. That's different to telling me i'm wrong. (Which isn't possible with a subject matter like this) You seem like you want one big happy thread of everyone supporting the OP with no real discussion? Not at all, discussion is the reason I created this thread. I simply disagree with the opinions you presented here, especially since they aren't based on anything other than your own instinct.

@Saru- But telling someone they're wrong, and explaining why, is debating.

UK Moving In The Right Direction - Religious 'Marriages' For Gay Couples
props. I think this thread kinda shows the backwardness of the mindset. We ( I say we cuz i'm gay, and this thread is pro gay) all preach that people need to be more accepting of people. Specifically those rejected by society, yet no one is accepting Skullys beliefs. I don't mean accept in that you agree, but live and let live. You guys are trying to prove a subjective opinion wrong, which you can't. First of all, ofcourse you can, if facts contradict opinions. Secondly, challenging bigotted opinions can lead to a better environment (for gays, for any race, for the limited, etc, etc). Do you have proof that your opinion of challenging 'bigotted' opinions can lead to a better environment? Maybe you'll see my point now. I have personal experience, which is rather impossible to use in an argument. I'll get into it if you want me to. What I can use, is simple logic. I consider a "better environment" to be an accepting enviornment, simply because it's an environment that can make more people feel wanted. If we conclude that that's what a "better environment" means, we can follow a biggotted opinion that says gays have no room in our world. Someone presenting it, and then being challenged about it, could logically lead to a "better envrionment".

Opinions are based on something though, and when there's nothing to base it on, it's simply irrelevant to discuss.

[hide] To be honest, I don't really know myself how it got into that, I guess i'm thinking that more gay mariages = they adopt or something, but i'll explain that comment for you. I think it is right to be straight and wrong to be gay simply because of nature. How could the human race continue to be superior if there were more and more gay familys popping up everywhere? I mean, kids mimic their parents right? If some kids were to grow up with gay 'parents' then they would probably think this is normal and grow up thinking like this without even considering being straight. I think if kids were to grow up adopted with gay families it would certainly become more of a choice rather than in your head. It's like nature vs nurture for me. Why don't gay kids to straight parents mimic them? Sexual orientation is not a choice. Kids to gay parents will think being gay is normal, but that does not mean they'll grow up to be gay, or that the they'd think being straight is abnormal. Yeah the whole mimic parents and thus becomes a choice argument falls down at the fact straight parents have gay children. Equally the whole not natural argument is flawed in that homosexual behaviour and mating has been observed in nearly every documented species on earth. Sure, but gay kids from straight parents are a minority, at least around here anyway. [/hide] That's because gays are a minority in general. And, are you saying that as opposed to gay couples having gay children?

The exact time of YOUR death...
Thing is, we're discussing an extremely theoretical scenario. It's impossible to predict your time of death, thus saying that you'd kill yourself on day A after you were told you're going to die on day B, is irrelevant - No one can honestly tell you you're going to die on day B.

She did nothing wrong to be honest, other than lying to her parents perhaps. I don't think she deserves that kind of treatment. I feel really sorry for you though, sad story. :-?

UK Moving In The Right Direction - Religious 'Marriages' For Gay Couples
You know, as much as I think this IS a move in the right direction that statement made me realize something. 1) I scrolled down and saw Rocco already said this. it's technically a move in the left direction XD 2) In a sense that is a subjective titled. but im tired and itchy. so idk wanna debate this It obviously is subjective. :) It's my opinion, I just stated it in the title.
