  1. I guess you guys complaining about the difficulty should just count your blessings then. At least the developer didn't quite get what he wanted on this one :-P I'm not sure that's a good thing, I'd love to see stronger quest bosses released :).
  2. Awww poor you.. Lol yes, poor me. I'm a girl and can't handle the pressure right? Or maybe I'm just annoyed at condescending children who gain their self-worth and self-respect off what they can achieve on an online game. In any case, I'm not worrying about it anymore. People know my opinion and I have many agree, I also have many that attack my making of criticisms rather than the criticism itself. So to you, them, and this quest, you can all get the single finger salute. I have to work now and do something constructive in this world. You know, I'm starting to think freedom of speech is unjust. You know, I'm starting to think people who don't like me should put me on Ignore and leave it at that. It's about superiority. People who've done it like to feel superior over the people who haven't. I think that is the basis for all the "Don't nerf Nomad" stuff on the RSOF. I also think all the people around here "falling on their swords" for Jagex is hillarious. They will never admit that it's possible they made an error. I also want to point this out. Because I believed them when they said GM quest swere gonna be long and have gradniose plots I'm gullible, but when people believe what they say about a GM quest and that a tough boss battle makes it worthy of a GM quest, that is ...? Well, I haven't completed it, and not even planning to as I'm a skiller, yet I can relate to their feelings. It's not that superiority crap, it's the sense of unfairness. Some have invested millions on supplies, when they could just wait one week for it to be nerfed? And only waste 80K? "They get to fight an easier boss just because they complained it's too hard? And what of the challenge? If I beat it with X levels and X recources, why can't they?" Other than that, I've had more than little experience with RuneScape quests and the one thing I learned about boss fights is that 90% of them could be beaten with minimum effort & with the same strategy. The other 10% (excluding Nomad) would only need slight adjustments. I think Nomad has brought something new to the game. Puzzles are not the only thinker quests have anymore. New? Like more luck than your typical quest boss? And no, it's not crap. maybe it's different on here, but certainly on the RSOF it's clearly all about feeling superior to people. And if you payed millions to complete it in the first week that would be your issue, not anyone elses. Kinda like how people used to buy brand new items for millions before they settled down. Having to pay extra, both in time and money, merely for trying out new content as it's brought to the game, seems unreasonable to me. Nope, new like thinking with Pheonix necklaces, new familiars, weapons, multiples strategies that all work and give very different results. A boss fight in a quest like no other before.

  5. How are you even having trouble with those stats? :o I really fail at anything boss-related so I basically spam clicked sharks/brews whenever he hit me and still had quite some sups left at the end  its about timing and getting the inventory just right...i think 25 sara brews and 10-12 restores plenty. i range using diamond (e) and just sip sip sip sara sip restore. all the people complaining here and on rs forums on the difficulty of the boss fight forget why we find quests so enjoyable - the challenge. ive probably spent and lost a few million on the quest...and the reward wont mean much to me...but oh the challenge...it means far more than xp or item rewards. i would be happy if there were no reward at all! That's the spirit :D!
  6. That was my guess but he could also be a follower of Zamorak, Zaros, or even a different Mahjarrat. I do agree that if we ever have to fight Lucien it will be extremely difficult. I would guess that there is going to be a large battle that includes Zaros, Zamorak, Lucien and possibly Guthix. If any of Zaros, Zamorak or Guthix are present at the fight, I'm not sure it will be that hard... Or hard at all. The way I see it, all 3 are in the favor of Lucien's fall...
  7. You finished the quest yet MHL? No, but my brother explained it to me, and if it is as he says, then no, it shouldn't be a GM quest. Maybe I was unfair earlier, but this quest should not be GM. GM should be long, difficult quests that reveal a lot. This doesn't. It's honestly a boss fight. Exactly what happened is that someone created this guy, created the boss fight, and someone at Jagex decided that he should write a quest around it instead. This is not, and should never have been, a Grandmaster Quest. I cannot say if it is good or not, but I can tell you that the classification of it as GM is wrong. And I personally don't think quest bosses should be this difficult. It's a little overkill. I beg the differ. When it comes to this quest, length is very subjective. One could solve a puzzle 10 times as fast as another for example. I'm assuming Jagex sees it as something good enough to quailify for the length aspect, and I have to say I can't disagree. As for history, I'm not sure that should be a 'requirement' for a GM quest. Priest In Peril is a great example for the opposite side of the stick- one of the easiest quests out there, revealing quite a bit of history. The way I see it, this quest is a build-up for the 'history-revealing' part. Lastly, if one is to solve this quest as intended (as in, without a guide) then one may find it very hard. From what I hear the puzzles are challenging and the boss obviously is aswell, the reward cannot go unnoticed and the challenge is at stake. You shouldn't be so quick to judge, to my eyes this quest deserves a GM status.
  8. Try reporting for 'Distruptive behaviour'. I'm not quite sure if it works that way, but Disruptive behaviour is a lot less commonly reported for (it's basicly a report for spamming), and if I am correct, better looked after for that fact. I could be wrong, but it costs nothing to try, and you're technically sending a better report, as there's no 'clear' evidence for macroying, but there definetly is one for spamming.
  9. Care to explain what a 'good' quest would be like? Hard puzzles- Check. (Very) hard boss- Check. Good reward- Check (that cape is awesome :).) High requirements- Well, perhaps not high enough, but still over medicore. What would you like to do in a quest? Act as a deilievery girl for 3 hours? Oh wait, you've complained about that aswell. You're just never pleased.
  10. Perhaps some sort of stat viewer? Like the Lunar spell? Yeah, what do they do?
  11. Exactly what I was about to say, lol.
  12. Oh, what rule are they technically breaking? Actualy, technically they're not breaking any rules, technically. However, if you don't want to go to technicallities, they're breaking the 'Item Scamming' rule.
  13. From my understanding and reading the past few pages of the thread to come up to date Zaros doesn't seem to fit into that category of "chaos" everything said here and by various NPC's makes it seem like Zaros was actually a God of order, and a God that Guthix actually approved of. Maybe Zaros could be one of the original Gods? I mean through speculation and lack of proof I myself believe that Sara and Zammy both came into power through the same type of thing - stealing another God's power. Now some semi-interesting questions for you all - It seems that everyone is saying Zaros power is being felt now back on Runescape and that he is coming back to the plane with more power than before; But what about Guthix policy? If you're a God then GTHO my world. Surely that should apply to Zaros? Or is it that everyone thinks that because Zaros' reign built, peace, harmony, and paradise that Guthix might unlock the gate for him? Oh and another thing when will Guthix stop snoozing? Surely with Zaros retuning Guthix' alarm clock should be going off right about now? And also with the return of Zaros will there be God Wars: Episode 3; Revenge of the Zaros? Zaros wasn't banned.
  14. Ash to Zaros' feet!
  15. I wonder what all the hidden posts are :o...
  16. Never knew about that world Oo. Is it any different?
  17. Yay! Melee will be even more overpowered!
  18. I can see how you figured the new skill will bring new armor, but you can't say that as a fact. It is faily possible that they meant there will be a new skill in 2010, and without any connection to that, also new armor and a Grandmaster quest. I'm not saying you're wrong to conclude this, only that you can't gurantee that and thus shouldn't discuss it as a fact.
  19. Agility increases the rate in which your energy recharges. Energy is used for running. You usualy run when training Smithing! Wow! Everything really does revolve around Smithing![/sarcasm]
  20. I just noticed something very strange in the Runescape Wiki (yes, I know anyone can edit it, but considering it is true): Being indigenous of Runescape, doesn't it mean his origins are possibly the Elder Gods? Perhaps he's someone's son (or daugter, whatever his gender is) which would also imply why he has the power to shape the world? Just like the Elder Gods have the power to create it? According to the Runescape Wiki again, Guthix cannot create planes. Whether it's true or not, I don't know, but that's what the Wiki says:
  21. There's no clear evidence that Guthix is weaker than the Elder Gods. However, considering they have the power to create planes, while Guthix does not, it's fairly possible they're stronger, or even a lot stronger. Your theory is also a possiblity, perhaps they can only create planes when they're together, and apart are very weak. There's nothing flawed with that theory but for some reason the first one fits better in my head. P.S. A word from a girl, your other picture looks way better :P.
  22. Don't forget about the ring, you can keep that one to :) And your necklace. And quiver! This is fun :P!
