  1. Though when I was crafting gold bars into amulets, one of my amulets "turned into" a strange rock
  2. In that case, dont get bandos, its a waste for your lvls, godswords are also out and also dclaws. Sooooo if you want to get the full dragon, but honestly you would be better off with barrows and the whip. get the rune defender if you haven't already because it is the best shield spot item for almost any situation (and is basically free) you might want to get a fury and brezerk/warrior ring. 70 pray is also nice for piety,
  3. Bandos in general is not as good as barrows, but if you really hate fixing things and want to blow 50mil on a set of armor then go ahead. Godswords are also not particularly helpful. Depending on you stats, you might want to try and get 95 pray, but im not sure how much money you have. If you tell us what kind of things you want to do, then you will get a better answer as to what you should be buying.
  4. I would suggest starting a new thread, because with this title you wont get the right audience. But to answer your question (with my very limited knowledge of Boss hunting) I would say that daggonath kings are your best bet because i believe you dont need to flash prayers, which you do need to do at the TD's. Though i have no idea how hard GWD is. EDIT: Oh yea and most slayer equipment can be also used for boss hunting
  5. Well if you had a bit higher runecrafting, you could ghraak natures, and there was an update to runecrafting, so the closer lvl you are to the double rune lvl then you have a better chance of making double runes, for example someone with lvl 80 rc has like 40% chance of making a double rune. EDIT: also since you have fairly high stats you could try boss hunting like GWD or DK's or TD's depending on your equipment
  6. not to mention the added bonus of a minimum of 95 prayer points.
  7. Stun can get about 200k/hour with a cost of (current cost of 1 soul rune) per cast, assuming you have a mud staff. Plank make with current costs and mahogany logs will run about 147 gold per cast, but I'm not sure on xp rate.
  8. High alch calc: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Alchemy_Guide but please note that this calc takes the min ge price not the median, but it should still be a good reference as to what is good or bad to alch.
  9. For me, at lvl 80 magic, to get to lvl 86 you need about 1,611,398 xp, and with a mud staff, each stun costs 1 soul rune, or 207 at the moment which means this is about 2.3 gp/xp. So that will take about 17,905 casts, which will cost 3,706,215 gold. I would suggest doing this, because all amulets are crashing hard right now, so you will always loose more gold than you usually would, because the prices are returning to normal after the huge inflation caused by the rouge. EDIT: Also if you wanted some smithing xp also, you could go with the super heat gold with the gold smith gloves. But this also will be a big money sink because the bars are crashing also due to the rouge update. EDIT2: If you don't feel like stunning over the edgeville ditch, then you could make an elemental balance in your POH games room which apparently works exactly like the lumbridge dummies used to before they updated them.
  10. Well if you don't like bursting lobs, you can do string jewelry up to 86, and then plank make with mohogany up to 99, and that should be under 30 mil, I just did a quick calc and came up with 18mil from lvl 81 to 99 with plank make (note this is not possible because the lvl for plank make is 86) and that is if you bought 2 astrals and 1 nature and 1 mohogany log and payed the 1050 for spell cost you lose about 147gold per cast, which is 1.6 gold per xp.
  11. varrock is a nice place to start, buy one of everything that the arrow seller sells and the guy next to the anvils and then head over to the general store for one of each, battle staffs and regular staffs ect.
  12. Ardy cape isn't all that great at ZMI as you only get a few more runes, but no exp for them. And since you are doing ZMI, you're in it for the exp and not the profit. Now if you use it for the prayer/defense then it might be ok. Well but what other cape would you need? if you have a reasonable agility lvl, you dont need lighter equipment, and most people doing ZMI dont need any defense, so you can either slap on a skill cape and show off to everyone or use ardy cape and get a few extra runes... i say extra runes > looking super 1337 haxorz
  13. Don't bother trying to buy one on the GE you will have to be very very very lucky because the "street price" of most all rares are significantly higher than the GE price, so almost no one sells their rares on the GE. Best bet is to poke around world 2 and hope someone offers a green phat. Or you could also have a thread on tip.it, it couldn't hurt.
  14. Well its not really crashing, its more like it is coming back down to its actual worth, and not the hugely inflated "OMG NEW ITEMZ" price. So unless you need it now, i would just wait.
  15. Well, in general farmers are only good till 55, after that blackjacking is faster for lvling, but if you just want profit from thieving, than it might be worth the effort, but honestly there are much faster ways of making money. although ardogune cape is also good for RCing at the ZMI altar, so if you plan on doing that then it would definately be worth it .
  16. Well if you already went out of your way to get the EE, then don't bother getting the SGS unless you find yourself not getting healed enough with the EE.
  17. Well a lot of people do that quest to get the Manage thy kingdom mini-game which is an easy way to get constant profit, and little store down there is selling the cider for only 2 gold
  18. aww >< i just ran all the way to Misc to go get you one, and when i check back you already bought it >< oh well at least you have it now.
  19. I agree with this, it is generally accepted that godswords are horrible to train any stat with. The only things that godswords are good for are their specials or for pking (in the case of the AGS).
  20. Well that thought is along the lines of why is there are lvl 99 skill when I dont have lvl 99 in that skill. Because it gives you something to work for, which is basically in every other part of this game. No its not. A lvl 99 skill and any boons it give are there and always there. These dungeons are randomly generated, so after completing the floor that room you cannot open is not longer it existence. Therefore whats the point in it being there? The game has made the room and put it there but you will never access it, unless you some how maigcally gain like 12+ lvls in a skill without leaving that floor True, that exact room won't be there any more but if you go into a new dungeon after you have worked on that skill and you encounter a new room with similar requirements, voila you have the lvl (because you worked at it) to open the door. Hurray incentive to lvl....
  21. I'm pleased we agree on this bit, either way :D So in short, make (u) amulets Well its all going to crash anyways so might as well just make the best of it and string/alch them after your done for some magic xp.
  22. Well that thought is along the lines of why is there are lvl 99 skill when I dont have lvl 99 in that skill. Because it gives you something to work for, which is basically in every other part of this game.
  23. Well dhide bodies are good if you use the stealing creations needle.
  24. best xp is plates i believe, but you lose a lot of money like that.
  25. Also another thing to consider is that dragon bones are always going to be rising (over the span of the time to get lvl 99) so if you have already bought them, selling them back and buying them later will be more expensive. Where as with herblore, the price of the herbs are staying fairly stable. Not really, I got 85 herb a few months ago, and the most reasonable option cost 25gp/exp; a few days ago when getting 92, the cheapest was 31-32gp/exp (excluding noob methods like cleaning, 207s, or making unf). Ok first of all why is cleaning herbs "noob", it is a valid and cost effective way of training herblore. Second, because you discount cleaning herbs as a way of getting xp, which is usually a profit/xp I would have to maintain my point that prayer has (and any unknown updates ignored) and always will continue to rise in cost. Herblore, as i stated, has remained a profit skill (using cleaning herbs as xp). Prayer is in every case, a profit lost skill to train, and to minimize losses, it is best to train it first.
