  1. There are a few of my friends that like hugging me, I don't mind hugging them, but it can get annoying at times and a few people look at me funny... :? The no touching is bs though.
  2. Okay, let's clarify. In my opinion, he is obsessed with manga in an unhealthy way. This is completely seperate from his charges of looking at cp. This is simply making a comment about his character. Second, I think what he was looking at was more than lolicon manga, this is made apparent by what they discovered things on his computer, and because he plead guilty and recieved a relatively long sentence leads me to believe that this wasn't over something stupid in a manga. I think he was viewing actual cp. If that's the case, then he deserved it. However, this article is extremely vague and does not list exactly what was on his computer. This article seems nothing more than a cheap way to stir up controversy, and make the public think it was over something stupid and convince them to rule in favor of this person, which most of you are doing, without knowing the full details and assuming the best. I assume the worst. Why? because he might be looking at something that is harming young children. I refuse to support something like this without the full details. This is why I hate vague articles.
  3. I do not agree with homosexuality. However, it is not my right to tell them not to be like that. Therefore, I'm neutral on this subject.
  4. People define their existence through suffering. If everything was perfect, how would anyone know it was perfect?
  5. I hate articles like this. They never specified on why the mother was unfit to take care of the child. As such, I cannot make a proper judgement on whether the mother was fit to take care of the child or not.
  6. [hide=] Having manga(a japanese comic) doesn't make you a pedophile. It never said they found anything on his computer, just that they searched it. I read manga too. It's a manga about CP, that's what makes it nasty. I never said anything about reading japanese comics making you pedo at all. I was pointing out that he has an unhealthy obsession with manga and he's a pedo. Lrn2read. Only a few of those magazines had CP in them. Having alot of manga is not "unhealthy," some people like building model planes/boats/trains/cars, some like to race remote controlled cars, he likes to read manga. In the original DragonBall series you see a child Goku naked, does that make everyone who read that book a pedo? Same with the people who watched the anime episode for it. I know only a few he had cp in them. I still think that having 1,200 normal manga is unhealthy, it reminds me of this: No, reading Dragonball manga does not make you a pedo. That is non-sexual nudity. Unhealthy? So now we're throwing people in jail because of their hobbies? As long as it's not hurting anyone it should be fine. Now out of 1,200 mangas three had CP drawn into it. I do not see how that number means they were ordered for the CP only. [/hide] Now you're putting words in my mouth. I never said he should go to jail for having an obsession. He should go to jail for looking at cp.

  8. He plead guilty himself. Which made me think he knew he was doing something wrong, I didn't know he couldn't afford his defense. ...But if it was over something stupid, he could've gotten a lawyer appointed by the court for free. He technically didn't have to pay anything.

  10. In my opinion, he deserved it. It was obviously something F*&^%$@ nasty, otherwise they wouldn't give him such a sentence, and he knew it too, so he plead guilty. You guys are assuming it was over something stupid, I mean they found stuff on his computer as well. He's 40 years old, and he has over 1,200 manga volumes? He sounds like a F*&^%@# pedofile. Period. 11. Yes, but it isn't naturally occuring. Yes nucleotides can be added artificially, but a lab is not nature. How is a virus invading a cell and basically changing it into a virus factory and eventually destroying the cell beneficial? It sounds a bit chaotic, doesn't it? How is it a flaw in my understanding? Evolution is changes in something that occur over millions years and many generations and may result in a new species. According to evolution, it is indeed possible for something like this to occur. Last time I checked, what virus's do to people is not beneficial. Yet you have not provided even one of these 'gazillions' of examples, simply brush off my argument as flawed, and proclaim it to be true. I smell denial. Abiogenesis speaks of life spontaneosly springing up from a primordial soup(which to this day no one has been able to do), not "dead" material. They are related because both deal with information coming from nowhere. Changing a function that already exists is one thing, but changing something that exists into something else entirely is false. (In natural situations.) Animals and Humans cannot gain functions that are not already encoded in DNA, it can be changed around, but organisms cannot obtain "new" functions. They lose information over time, not gain information. Supposedly "new" information that may appear is something that has been there since the beginning. It simply has been inactive. My information has been backed up, yours has not. On the last part, you got me there. Your grammar isn't that bad compared to the rest of the forums, but may I suggest proofreading your posts...
  12. I think this topic has already changed species. I miss talking about Google. D: Hardy har har.
  13. The only way DNA can change is in a chaotic way. Cancer is caused by an error in information. Mutations are a loss of information, not a gain. Information doesn't miraculously appear from nowhere. You're missing the point. Yes, changes can be made but information can only be changed or lost. The point I'm trying to make is that a fish can't turn into a man over millions of generations. Evolution has significant flaws. As it stands now it is nothing more than a half truth. Like I said, no new information is gained, just changed or lost. You're basically trying to use my own argument against me, and saying everything I've said is a form of evolution. I know evolution and abiogenesis are seperate, which is apparent in my argument. It is foolish, however, to deny that they are unrelated. What is this evidence you speak of? You are being extremely vague in your answers, posting a lot of irrelevant information, all with terrible grammar. (P.S.- Good grief man, you need to learn to hide certain things when quoting long posts and giving long answers. The fifth post is enormous.)
  14. 1.) You have no proof what you just said is true. 2.) Scientists have tried and failed to do this on numerous occasions. I sincerely doubt you somehow were able to do what the top scientists of the world couldn't. If you did, that's fine. Publish your work and have it confirmed. Until then, you have no argument. Unless someone here has something I don't know about. Experiment link. This is not an uncommon experiment for higher level biology/chemistry classes to do. All they managed to produce was Hydrogen Cyanide and Formaldehyde. Both of which are extremely poisenous. Hydrogen Cyanide wiki article- "Hydrogen cyanide is a colorless, extremely poisonous, and highly volatile liquid that boils slightly above room temperature at 26 °C (78.8 °F). " Formaldehyde wiki article- "In view of its widespread use, toxicity, and volatility, exposure to formaldehyde is a significant consideration for human health" No one has ever been able to reproduce amino acids seen in animals or humans.

  16. Oi, why am I the only one that can come up with a good argument against evolution? Oh well. The video above describes how anything and everything tends to become more chaotic and random in isolated systems. Which would disprove abiogenesis and evolution- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Origin_of_life If everything goes towards chaos, how can new information be created? Simple. There must be a creator. But I'm not done yet. The Polymerization Problem This article basically says that amino acids tend to break down in water, not be built up, which follows Thermodynamic laws, in other words entropy. "Since the equilibrium concentration of polymers is so low, their thermodynamic tendency is to break down in water, not to be built up." The same thing can be said about evolution and microevolution. It has been proven time and time again that there are changes in DNA structures, apparent from changes within anything from dogs to the flu virus. Scientists call this evolution. Is it really evolution? I don't think so. Evolution says that over millions of years changes in DNA can create noticeable differences between what was once the same species, and eventually can create new species. But what many scientists like to ignore is that no new information is created. Let's take the Swine Flu for example. It is merely a crossbred strain of three different flu viruses, in other words, it was created with information that already exists. The DNA didn't miraculously change by itself. By now you're probably thinking "Ha! I got you now! If that's true, how do viruses become immune to certain medications?" Simple. Transposons, a.k.a. "Jumping Genes." All it is the rearrangement of information. It isn't new information. But what about dogs? There are so many different kinds, and they all originated from wolves. Well, the different types of dogs were created through selective breeding, in other words Man let only certain wolves breed with each other, over many generations, until there were significant differences. This isn't evolution. This is a rearrangement of DNA on a much broader scale. In fact, dogs have less genetic information than wolves, so it's more like a loss of genetic information than a gain. In other words, People bred dogs until they lost information that they didn't want, and they only had certain traits that they were looking for. What about changes in humans? Like sickle cell anemia? That is a loss of information on red blood cells, it is merely a coincidence that it gives you immunity to malaria. Not to mention it leaves the the person in so much pain that it is basically useless. Advancement of the human race? A loss of information isn't advancement. It's more like destruction.

  19. Everyone has the God-given right to choose what to do in life, in other words, free will. (Doesn't mean that you should go on a killing spree just because you can, though.)

Believe those who are seeking the truth. Doubt those who find it. ~Andre Gide ----------------------------------------------------------------- Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." 1994 Inaugural Speech - Nelson Mandela ------------------------------------------------------------------ Once upon a time there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work. One day he was walking along the shore. As he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day. So he began to walk faster to catch up. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and the young man wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean. As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?" The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean." "I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?" "The sun is up and the tide is going out. And if I don't throw them in they'll die." "But, young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!" The young man listened politely. Then bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves and said- "It made a difference for that one." How many "starfish" do you come across in a day? - Author Unknown ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The wise man in the storm prays to God, not for safety from danger, but deliverance from fear. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Yesterday is history, tomorrows a mystery. Today is a gift, that is why it is called the present." -Unknown
  21. The only reason that many people are ignorant because that's exactly what the government wants them to be like. With citizens like that, they're easy to control and create the illusion that the people have power, but in reality the government can easily sway public opinion in their favor because of stupidity and government officials can gain tons of power and get re-elected a million times because they censor and inhibit people from doing things under the guise of "It's to protect you from terrorists!" or some other crap. The best solution would to limit the powers of government even further, and then educate the people better and work on discipline and family relationships. I see kids corrupted by so many different things today it isn't funny. Sex, Drugs, rebellion against parents, etc. No, this type of set-up wouldn't work if the government suddenly lost tons of power, but if the people were better educated first it would be. People wouldn't make stupid decisions if they knew better. I guarantee you that crime rates would go down if people actually used their heads. Power to the People! 23. Incest- banned for obvious reasons, the chance of having a child with genetic problems is greatly increased. Bestiality- Ridiculous and disturbing, It isn't a natural occurence in the first place, killing and eating animals is, however. Polygamy- Can lead to serious family problems(such as child abuse, favoritism, etc.,) apparent in mormon familys, it is also degrading to women.
  24. Hmm.. Build a large wooden structure, then take a baseball bat/sword/fists and smash the crap out of it. Laugh evily and conspire to take over the world. Works every time.
