  1. I personally believe God knows everything you can do, not everything you will do. Destiny has more to do with the oppurtunities(choices) in someone's life and whether or not you choose to do something about it. Just my two cents.
  2. No, we don't do it because we'd die if we did and we aren't able to hunt and eat an animal with our lack of sharp teeth, nails, and slow speed. The point is that even if we didn't give that fish a quick death or a long death it certainly would've been eaten alive by a shark, dolphin, or a pelican. What difference does it make if it dies a quick or a long death? It was going to be eaten anyways. It causes unneeded suffering. I would rather kill my own food before eating it. Why? because I empathize with living things, whether or not they would be considered below us or not. It's part of what seperates humans from animals. Some say that I would be comparing humans to animals. But some people have done the same thing. Some say that a grizzly bear would eat the fish alive, so why shouldn't I? That is saying that people should act like grizzly bears and eat things alive. What would that be, if not comparing a human to a grizzly bear? I respect life, whether it's a lower life form or not. It's part of what makes us human. Reverse the roles of you and the fish. If a fish was going to eat you would it give you a quick, humane death? No, it'd eat you alive. I'm not saying we should act like grizzly bears but instead, that it's ok to eat an animal alive, because not only would it do the same to us but also because if we didn't eat it, something else would. You're missing the point. Just because an animal does something like eat another animal alive doesn't make it okay for a human to do it. That's like saying I should rape and kill people because rapists and murderers rape/kill people. Just because something occurs in nature, or any other circumstance, doesn't make it right for humans. We can empathize, we shouldn't stop just because an animal doesn't. We're better than that.

    No.

I used to have problems saying no to people. But I came up with a solution. I imagine every time I say no to someone, I gain unimaginable dark powers, becoming the overlord of darkness. So I straight up tell someone "NO" head held high, eyebrows furrowed, my eyes wide, I stare evilly as if daring them to challenge my power, all the while imagining a crazy scientist cackling so hard he writhes on the ground with foam spewing from his twisted mouth. Needless to say, people don't ask me for much. (Lol, joking, joking...) But seriously, try mentally preparing yourself to say no before anyone asks you something. That may help.
  5. Genes change, yes. But there is a limit to how much they change. There was a study done with fruit flies that were bred at an astounding rate, all the while the scientists were trying to mutate them into something else. There were some bizarre results, but the fruit flies refused to become anything other than fruit flies. I'm not saying evolution is completely wrong, but there are definitely problems with it.
  6. Obama done nothing. 85% approve of current health care. FOX News being fair and balanced. Three 100% false statements. I would rather assume someone is trolling than they believe blatantly false information. EDIT: Plus mentioning the President's race, which is completely irrelevant. 1. Name one outstanding thing that Obama has done to help the economy, or anything else for that matter. 2. 100% false? 85% of Americans have insurance, 15% percent don't. Although I can't say that all people with health insurance are happy with with what they have, It's certainly not "100% false" as you said. 3. CNN, Fox, or any other news network, is no different. There is no such thing as "fair and balanced" in the media. It's not blatantly false.

People don't change that much when you get older. You must not be looking very hard, because that's as elitist and shallow an attitude as that handful of people who consider themselves the "cool" crowd in high school have. You (this goes for everyone that considers themselves antisocial more than shy) need to learn to quit putting yourself above other people. Thinking "oh everyone's an idiot except for me" is a terrible, unhealthy attitude that will give you no friends. In fact, thinking it will be better when you get older will just leave you disappointed and more bitter. You need to learn how to be a people person for damn near anything you would do as an adult, or else you'll end up doing absolutely nothing. It's a lesson I learned by getting knocked on my [wagon], so I'm knocking you all on yours. I had this exact opinion not more than two years ago, then I realized how stupid it was, so I have no pity for someone who won't get up and change it themselves. Nothing will come to you in life by waiting. I have nothing but contempt for people who don't consider themselves the source of problems in their lives. Sure, people can get a lot of [cabbage] heaped on them in their lives, but you never hear about the ones that gave up and quit. You hear about the ones that kept on a-going. Damn, I'm really starting to preach. I should stop. I don't think I'm better than them, we just have different interests, and people do change as they get older, they become more mature. I don't think I'm any better or worse, just different.

People have already given you advice. You just don't take it. It's entirely your choice that you're antisocial. But you don't sound like you're like him. You might sit in the corner, but at least you aren't the guy nobody likes. You're just the one nobody knows. I'm antisocial, and it's not that I don't talk to people, I've tried talking to people, all they care about is football/how big a girls boobs are/being a troll irl. I refuse to change myself to be like them. I just can't relate. People tell me that I just matured faster than them, and that I should wait for them to grow up. People like myself tend to have it hard in school years, but have it easier later in life. Or at least, that's what I've been told.
  9. I view time travelling like this- Going to the future- It has been proven possible. The faster you go, the slower time goes, so if you go the speed of light, 1 year for you could be hundreds for everything else.. The only problem is getting back. Going to the past- It is possible, but it is incredibly difficult. If you have two wormholes, have one spin at the the speed of light and have it travel to the future, and if someone were to enter the light speed portal they would be transported to the stationary wormhole and to the past. So, if someone went the speed of light and travelled to the future, they could return if someone sent a wormhole to the future as well. All they would have to do is enter the wormhole and would. But, you couldn't go back in time where the wormhole technology wasn't created yet. But what if someone from the future came back with our time traveller to the present, and then tried to kill one of their ancestors? It would change the future. But, if that person was never born, where did they come from? I don't know. But theoretically, with wormhole and light speed technology, time travel is possible. Some people think if you killed an ancestor, it would warp and destabilize the universe, causing a chain reaction that would unravel the laws of physics and we would either be destroyed or so screwed up it wouldn't matter if we existed or not. If we do discover time travel, I hope no one ever tries something like that, because it could destroy everything.
  10. Nvm, my mom just called me back... She said she was talking to my dad about custody outside. She left the phone in the car. Good grief that gave me a scare...
  11. Get yourself or someone you know to the house as fast as they can to see if anything's happening. Everyone I know lives two hours or more away from him... I'll try calling his house and see if he answers. EDIT- No answer...
  12. Okay I'm probably being paranoid, but I need advice. My mom went to drop off my brother. I talked to my brother on my mom's cell for a little bit. No problems. Two hours later, The phone rings, but cuts off suddenly just before I pick it up. I checked to see who called. It came from my mom's cell phone.(It takes two hours to get to my dad's house, and right when they should of got there the call that was cut off was made.)I try calling back, no answer. I left a message, and waited 20 minutes. Nothing. I try calling again, nothing. She answered her phone and let me talk to her and my brother earlier no problem... but now, nothing. My dad is... violent, to be blunt. He also owns several guns, and hates my mother, my brother and me with a passion. We are also taking him to court to try and get custody of my brother. I'm afraid my dad did something to them. What do you guys think I should do?
  13. I would never try and make my life perfect. I would play pranks/save people from disasters/live forver If I had complete control of time. I'd try a bunch of different things and see how they would play out, etc. Perfection is boring. (P.S.- I wish that all of your wishes came undone. :-) )

Going in for heart surgery tommorrow. There is an electrical problem with my heart that makes it speed up to insane rates once or twice a year(200 beats a minute), they also said that it could get worse as I get older, and could kill me in my 40-50's if nothing is done about it. This should be fun...
  15. I call BS on that story. Besides being medically impossible, it's so overdramatically ridiculous that it's almost comical. Don't believe every little story you read on the internet my gullible brethren... Most people that you view as "demons" are simply lost. They need help, not hatred. They don't know what to do with themselves, that is why they do the things they do. Be nice to them, give them a chance.

  19. Well I asked her out today, and she said yes. \ It went surprisingly smoothly. I gave her my number, and she gave me hers. She's supposed to come over to my house next weekend to watch a movie.
  20. Heh, I found the courage wolf to be funny, regardless if it was relevant to the topic or not. Thanks guys for your advice. I'll just go with the flow and see what happens.
  21. Meh, maybe I should wait until I know her better. I should tell her when it feels right. Now that I think about it, telling her this suddenly does seem kind of... unnatural.
  22. Maybe I could ask her if she's ever been in the hospital or something, and then I'll tell her about it after she answers.
