  1. I died inside when I saw the exp to go to 96 and then to 99.... This is gona take a while....
  2. Nice mini-milestone I guess :3 I kinda died inside when I saw exp to 96 and the exp to 99 :'(
  3. Time played is: 95 days, 16 hours and 104,891,159EXP. 45.8Kxp/hr. Not bad. Anyways unspam: Enaid invited me to bandos with a few of her friends and this happened :3
  4. What it all comes down to is that not all updates are going to be completely new code, and throwing a hissy fit like a child whenever Jagex puts out an update that you don't like isn't going to change that. More than a million people voted for free trade, so if you're going to use comparison by numbers, nobody cares what players with 99 smithing, or even 75+ smithing, think, because they're a tiny portion of the community. Oh and that's not what the definition of an update is. Grab a dictionary. Since when have I thrown a hissy fit? All I said was "Is it bad I expected a real update to accompany this too? Guess this update gives Jagex a nice week off from updates then." No hissy fit there. Well then tell me, where is that million people right now? But fair enough point. However, when it comes down to it I believe we're both too stubborn to back down from our points. My point was that an update to a skill or bringing out a quest would be much more beneficial to the community than the influx of douches that will accompany FT and OW. And I do know what a update is you condescending [wagon]. Now, if you wish to continue this conversation PM me.
  5. Define a "real" update? This is fairly major afterall removal of trade limits. Alterations to how ge works. Return of proper drops. Relocation of several quests and activites. Remapping of a huugge area. Brand new fairly large dungeon. etc. etc. This update has more parts to it and more content chnages in it tht your average weekly update. It adds no new content to the game and just reverts it back to 2007 basically, with a few things changed. All in all if the hundreds of pages of writing and stuff in the wilderness topics are correct all it took was editing bits of code and reimplementing it. Nothing major that adds new content into the game. And I mean... Where's MOTM? Or the Smithing rework we were promised last year? Put on the back shelf for Jagex to do the time warp to gain more customers. This content adds nothing new to the game cept a load of douches that'll jump you for a teletab. Calm down, have some dip. Just because an update doesn't appeal to you doesn't make it a fake update. On that note, I'm not much of a smither, so I'd rather have a real update than your smithing improvement crap putting real updates on the shelf so Jagex can waste time to gain more customers. It's not that the update doesn't appeal to me - personally I support free trade but not the wildy - however, I just don't see how this update is actually anything at all cept Jagex trying to waste a week because they can't come up with anything new or inventive. This whole thing has been just a mere PR campaign for them to get more customers and therefore more money. Whether they inject that money into RS is yet to be seen what with Stellar Dawn coming and Fun Orb needing resources too. And tbh I could spend hours discussing how the smithing update is needed more than old wildy and whatever else, but it was just an example along with MOTM. They promised us those updates last year; however, they've been pushed back. Now when there's ample time for it, then have to prolong the wait for an update that does nothing really for the general RS community. And the reason why I come to that conclusion (even though 90% voted yes) is because currently there are only: 7050 out of 188,265 people on RS on PVP, Bounty or Bounty +1 worlds on members and F2P. That's only ~26.7% of the community playing PVP. However, using smithing as a very bad example, there are at least 13,120 people with 99 smithing, double that playing PVP right now. There's over 100K people with 75+ smithing etc etc. I just feel that in general that this update is nothing more than reverting old pieces of code and therefore adding nothing new, exciting, innovative or original into this game which is ultimately what an update is meant to do.

  7. Is it bad I expected a real update to accompany this too? Guess this update gives Jagex a nice week off from updates then.
  8. Get 75 smith, then do arrow tips til bolts, bolts til plates.
  9. Because I generally post that way as ever since I've joined people do that.
  10. It happens to me during times on certain worlds. So I think it's servers being silly.
  11. Honestly it's up to you and your own personal preference. However as everyone else has said - Extremes/Prayer should come before BCP/Tassets and DFS. Infact DFS shouldn't even factor in as the shield is now pretty much obsolete. If you want it just for aesthetics then do it, however it's still known that whip + defender will outstrip whip + DFS. Then again if you want to sell BCP for something instead of injecting it into potions (I sold my claws for 90 herb and don't regret it one bit) then I'd say go and buy claws. Damage output on them is awesome and they're a nice bonus for slayer.

    Come back <3: I'll miss you! :(
  13. Hehe well I can't afford that :P I'm still a nub haha! I can get 200K odd in a day really with on and off slaying. :P However I don't have: A. Overloads - and tbh people do say anything more than an extreme is overkill. B. Turmoil - Saving for it though! :3 C. The money to piety AND cannon. Tbh 2 of those things seem to be a major waste of resources and money :P
  14. :D Thanks guys! Much appreciated :) Next thing that's coming is 99 HP, then Strength then Slaaaaaaaaaayer! :D
  15. I assume Vex did his whole "optimal block/cancel" thing that he does? I personally go for any task I can and if I can't be bothered then I'll just cancel it. I cannon everything and what I can't cannon I piety. So therefore it is probably Vex's cancelling that gets him better exp.
  16. No either use Korsai or ZS. Anyways here's my two cents: I'm currently going for 99 slayer too (Currently 760k or so from 95) and in about 6 hours play time I can average 100K slayer exp +. If you can average that then just divide the amount of exp you want by the 100k. For me I have 5M slayer exp to go til I hit 99, therefore it'll take me roughly 50 days of laid back, 100K a day slayer. Cannon everything you can. Piety/Turmoil anything you can. Use extremes whenever you can if you don't have them, get them. Going from 92-93 I invested 7M into cannonballs and prayer potions (I cannon everything and anything, even single combat stuff if I can... If I can't then I'll piety it) and I made back 22M. So don't worry about the cost of things.
  17. With your mage level I'm sure you can easily cope with Black Dhide. Personally I like karils. I guess it also depends if you're bossing or not.
  18. As everyone else has said - Rapier then Maul. As the topic in general discussion says - Rapier = Whip on steroids. CLS = VLS on antidepressants.
  19. As Quy isn't on atm:
  20. Like 5 years, half banned, half quit, like 3 still play. And i still have more friends nubby. Joke. Grats. 1st couple 99s suck the most imo. even though i only have 4 Grats on the 99. And Sharksman, I guess it depends what you get your 99's in. By far I was more excited about getting 99 smithing as it is my favourite skill than I was about 99 attack the other day or 99 defence the year before last. The next one I'm counting as a 99 and looking forward to is slayer which will mean I'll have strength and HP soon enough.
  21. 0.0 With your luck at from TDs moving to corp, you're going to crash all the shields...... I am having a blast doing it! Only died once solo so far and he was about dead. I hadn't touched my tort's drop. O_o Hot damn you're crazy yet amazing  Shotgun/Bagsie/Dibs on second Divine for "mates rates" when FT is out. <3:
  22. Alrighty thanks for the replies guys! :D Guess that sorts it! Drop 94 slayer atm, get 88 or so dung, grab CR and CM and then start slaying again :)
  23. 1) Why not the cls? Octarine and I have started bossing more and it sounds like a good idea? However I obviously wouldn't use it for slayer. 2) Alrighty, sounds a plan then. 3) Will do! :3
  24. Well the plan is to get 88 or so dungeoneering so I can grab CLS, CR and a few other nice things and then slay to 99. But you're right about getting good exp in dungeons which is good for me.
  25. Well now, seeing as today I managed to take my total to 2 out of 3 melee 99's I have 1 left - Strength. I was just wondering what the optimal way for me to train it would be. I am currently 66 dungeoneering about to get 67 tonight doing a large with friends and after 94/95 slayer or so I plan to non-stop solo dungeoneer with the occassional duo with Octarine and large with Hunter Ghor and Drazharr44 joining in for a rapier. But until then what should I use? Sara Sword? D scim + Ddef? I have absolutely no idea really. Any tips would be welcome. (Also I will probably be doing dungeoneering after 94 slay not 95 depending how much I hate SS or Dscim.)
