Just out of curiosity...... Is cannoning Black Drags a good idea for tasks of them? Does it speed them up at all and do you still break even/profit? (again sorry for quickly changing the topic)

I agree that we need smithing to be updated. I love the skill, no matter whether it'd make me 200M profit or cost me 200M to get it to 99. It is my favourite skill on RS, however it's dying tbf. Though I think that Jagex will release a smithing update soon enough what with constitution.

Alright then, so I'm guessing I should go with snaps over avantoes then for the more profit....... I am a little sceptical, but am willing to give it the benefit of the doubt currently and give it a try. I just think that needing 24 herbs to break even might be cutting it fine with the fact that I only do the 4 patches as I haven't done troll romance yet (which I probably should do?) And currently I'm going through a patch on RS where I'm only logging in for the odd herb run, penguins and MTK, so therefore using an ent wont really be too bad then as I'll do my herb runs then my cacti picking and not have to dismiss it at any point soon.

All I know is that Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver have now been released in the UK like at the beginning of this week :P Could be due to that? :)

Sorry to hijack the thread; so what you're saying is always do the best herbs. So therefore snaps will give me more profit than avantoes? And also, should I farm limps or marigolds? I'm currently doing limps........ Also is it worth it to drag a giant ent around?

They can't be safespotted as such; but yes metals can be. You need an anti-fire shield and antifire pot to cover the fire breath. Then stand atleast 1 square away from them so you're not in melee range and they'll try and attack with just the long range breath. :)

Agreed; however if you go with Avantoes and put in 5 seeds that's 15K you only need 3 avantoe herbs to break even doing them whereas for me the highest would be Snapdragons which are 84K each for the seeds thats - 420K for the 5 seeds and therefore I'd need ~24 herbs to break even...... I guess I'd stick with the Avantoes ;)
