Pack Yak
Well as the topic description says I'm wondering how many charms I'll need to stockpile...... I'm currently doing slayer and am thinking of maxing it at some point and therefore a yak will come in handy here. Same with thinking about monster hunting and getting 99 smithing. So...... I'm at 90 summoning with 515K till my next level; Anyone have any idea how many charms I need for those 6 levels I really want? I'd consider camping fiends etc; but not lobs..... well maybe not. Don't know yet. So...... Does anyone know? And don't tell me to search myself; I tried that however became more confused as to what I should make which is why I'm here.

Should I go for 99 defense?
1. Slayer sucks for xp. Don't bother with it unless you want to train your slayer. 2. You get hit just as often now as before. 3. On most slayer tasks you should be taking a MAXIMUM of 5% more damage than you were before. 2 and 3 would indicate that your claims are unfounded and you're just whining because it's different. You may be taking 5% more damage, but you're dishing out more damage as well. I am not whining about it being different no where in my post did I say that. I only said that IMO that I find I'm getting hit more even though I have 99 defence and torags and stuff like that.

Should I go for 99 defense?
I agree with bladewing. if you want fast exp go with AZ's. However if you want balanced exp go with slayer. 99 Defence is awesome; but IMO I find that it's been bashed and doesn't matter as much what with the constitution update and I take way more damage than I used to. I'm hoping and praying for that new armour and smithing update to come out so I can be back to normal with epic def making a difference.

MTK best setup
I get roughly 2-2.5m maybe 3m if I'm very lucky with the herbs and seeds from 10 herbs and 5 raw fish. It's a good setup. RS Wiki has an article which shows you which things are best.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Guessing you're planting all those seeds and hoping to make them all into pots for herb exp??

Spending some money
If you're slaying a bit: Sell BGS and buy a SGS if you can. If you're wanting prayer: Don't do it until you can afford 95 without breaking your bank; or whatever level you want to get eg the nice round 80. If you're wanting herblore: Don't break your bank, and again pick a level you want or just don't do it until you can get 85 or so comfortably. Go with collection skilling maybe for extra money? Or just keep slaying and invest in summoning with the charms you get and things like that?

Semi afk Training
Ah I forgot the ring as I generally wear RoL. Anyways, I'd actually say Fire Cape > SW Cape in this situation. Sure the cape would conserve prayer; but with an altar above you it doesn't take too long to pray. The attack and strength bonus come in more handy against these due to this. If you had to use prayer pots then for sure use SW cape. Overkill here where fire cape basically has one of it's only uses left. depends how afkable he wants it too be :P, but yea, either would be good Guys youre forgetting something, AFKing is AGAINST the rules that Jagex imposes upon us. Therefore you are not allowed to completely Afk. You are forced to be at your computer at all times. (I know this is totally lame but im just remindin the legal side of the issue ;D ) The thread title says "Semi AFK Training" take note on the semi, and the first post he puts that he'd be keeping a constant eye on his char :) So no need to worry about it Solid :D Sounds like the guy has it covered. And to n00b, I see what you mean and I agree :) That's why it's factored into my setup if he wishes hehe :P

aquanites
If you're talking to me then :) I'm not. I'm kuradal all the way, but I'm considering spending those 50 points for them as I'm not too sure. If you're talking to the thread person then it sounds like they asked kura to unlock them for him from the whole "why did I buy that thing so kura could torture me?! >.<"

What is the total level at 5 mil exp?
what are you saying..... This is the reason the forums should have stayed at 12m exp for F2P because they're just going to become even more illiterate and gibberish than now :wall: :wall:

What about the above question of - LBS + DFS or ZS? And would a pony instead be better than yip?

Update on Overloads.
You keep saying that but how in the world is d hide more accurate then void with melee..... And don't say because void sucks again, that's not an answer. You heard Bedman - Fighter hat and Barrows gloves.

Humble Beginnings
2 friends of mine helped me :D 1 gave me tonnes of stuff, or I thought it was tonnes and explained how it's almost the best stuff because he was quitting. He gave me Adamant armour, hatchet pick etc and I thought I was really rich as he had to give it over 2/3 trades. He then showed me about F2P and stuff and left me at varrock to mine and smith like he showed me. Even gave me my first 1K gp and a bronze bar. Later that day I got lost on the way to the mine and almost killed by the giant rat. I have yet to repay that favour, so a trip there might be in order tomorrow! Anyways my other friend who plays when he can (Libertherme, member of these forums too <3: ) then showed me around again and made sure I didn't stay lost. He had them halloween robes from the trick or treat event and I thought they were some super rich persons clothes that were epically amazing. First day of members was even more frightening, but that's a story for some other time :)

Update on Overloads.
glory + no helm + hides + rune gloves + serker ring regular + zs > fury + void +zs + serker (i) tbh I don't get it why is black d hide better? Mage defence I'd guess. In void you'd be ripped to pieces easily?

This. Stab is supposedly more effective so aim for that. Seeing as you can only take a yip with you take some scrolls obviously. And you should know to have dhides/karils. Sorry to hijack this; however Qeltar: is it more efficient to use karils with LBS and DFS or karils with ZS? :P just wondering as a point of interest as I'm considering getting these off kura as I have a pony :D

Gradually Buy Prayer or Herblore?
Its very feasible if 1. You have a lot of cash 2. The market is good 3. You're good at it I can clean 10k herbs per hour. The problem is that herbs have a 10k buy limit, not all of them have a suitable cleaning market (lately especially, its really hard to find clean herbs that sell for the same price as grimy), and some of the suitable ones require a ludicrous amount of money for it to be worth your time (snapdragons are usually good for cleaning, too bad you need 85m to buy a half hours worth). If the market always has 2-3 herbs that cost about 5k and at least break even, I would've cleaned my way to extremes already. I thought cleaning Irit makes money? Just barely any, but... it's money. The market is totally going to pot (excuse the pun ;)). However according to the wiki ranarr and snaps are the best to clean being 100 and 200 gp profit respectively. However tbf, I'd say stick with bedmans idea of farming etc and spending the money on the cheapest pot you can make. And the same for MTK. Stockpile the herb that you'll turn into pots then sell the others and buy more and the 2nds then hope they sell.

training
Melee: Slayer. Or do Defender of Varrock and Kings Ransom (too lazy to look at your stats) to access AZ's and piety. Range: Yaks are your best option till 70 I guess; however could always just go cannon something like Daggonoths, Aberrant Spectres or Walliskies. Mage: Alch or look up another non combat thing till you're 75/80+ I guess.

Aviansie setup
I agree with Mooky. Snakeskin Boots. Torags legs. Zammy dhide, and granite shield/obby/DFS. Oh and obviously if you're always wanting best of the best then whack in a fury and an archer ring (i)
-
97-99 range
Bank the bones. And Bladewing has it correct that melee would make this slow task that much faster. However If you have done Temple at Sentissien then go to wildy and cannon them tbf

Should I Sell Claws ???
Yes but the subtitle to the question is a choice given between Dragon Claws and Dfs. I clearly stated i do not want to spend the money on a skill i would not personally use much :) The extremes and super antis you would make would actually be of use to you therefore you are using the herblore skill as you sip the potions. It's like now with super pots you're using it ;) Indirectly; but the use is still there.

steel dragons
War tortoise always or yak if you can. The tort allows you to make back alot of the money that you'll lose praying. It's also more efficient because you don't want to have to bank only killing a couple of drags. I can kill about 30 before I need to bank with a tort which is epic, and I make ~500K+ from the task. So not too bad. Lol I take it you recommend keeping the bones then? - Well I'm not really into that: rather would do the whole task in 1 go (and I believe a war tortoise wouldn't stay the whole task -75-, would it?) I most definitely recommend it! But no war tort would not last an entire task. I'm not too sure what familiar you can use then as Steel Dragons are not in anywhere multicombat...... Or do titans operate on the same basis of a cannon in single combat? Anyways, if you can then cannon them in high wildy I'd say is the next best option. However again bones would be essential to make anything back. Your choice :)

Should I Sell Claws ???
Claws would be better than an SGS. And extremes are better than claws. But the money from claws won't be able to get you there unless you're going to clean herbs. But seeing as you seem to not care for skills I doubt you will want to clean herbs. Lol cleaning herbs for herblore 85 is like killing chickens for 99 defence :P Guys you are all WAY off topic. I dont really care about herblore and what not :) sorry if i offended you Topic title is "Should I sell claws???" ;) We're giving you the options of what's open to you if you do sell them which is linked to your questions and therefore not off topic ;)

Extremes
I was always thinking about doing this: however everyone is always "neeeeer, watch the GE, WATCH THE GE D: IT COULD IMPLODE ANY SECOND AND YOU COULD LOSE GAZILLIONS?!?!?!?!" And I've been all "ooooooh k. wont do it then as I cba watching it". Does it ever alter that drastically?
