I can't say I'm excited. That said, I am hoping for details of CoD: Black Ops which reassure me its not going to share all the same problems of MW2. Also I'm hoping for some Arkham Asylum 2 details, I'm worried that its being released too soon after the first one. Dead Space 2 details as well, I'm worried they're gonna make it like RE5 and lose all the horror after they said they were making it more action orientated, I believe they compared it to CoD of all things. For Microsoft Gears 3 I'm pretty much apathetic about, same with Natal and Halo Reach. For Sony I don't really care either, though they seem to unveil the best original franchises so maybe something new that looks good will show up. For Nintendo I'm not hoping for anything, apart from a declaration of their impending bankruptcy. Same as last year's showing then lmao.

Good idea to assign points to peoples rankings to form an overall list. I propose an "Honourable Mention" list as well, for games that as Ultimania said didn't quite make the cut. 1. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2. Resistance: Fall of Man < One of the great unsung multiplayers IMO 3. Rome Total War 4. Age of Empires 2/Age of Mythology 5. Stronghold 6. Batman: Arkham Asylum 7. Dawn of War 8. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune 9. Dead Space 10. Resident Evil Honourable mention: Oblivion, Zoo Tycoon, Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, SW Battlefront, MGS4 Gran Turismo 4, and Medieval 2 Total War. I think its going to be difficult to do a list of franchises, many franchises have had both good bad games which makes it hard to rank them.

I don't normally query people's spelling/grammar like a lot of annoying people on here, but didn't you mean phenomanal, incredible, and just priceless? A shame the two tend to be mutually exclusive. Playing CoD4, MW2, and Battlefield BC2 at the same time trying to see which I prefer. CoD4 is making it hard for me to prefer it due to the annoying amount of kids running with ACOG M40 and SP, no-scoping me three times in the killcam before finally pulling their pistol out and shooting me, and the grenades which are too damn powerful. And Host Ended Game ragequitters. Also trying to decide whether to stay on my current prestige (5th), or go to either 8th or 10th. . MW2 is making it hard to prefer due to the general [cabbage] of the game, but mainly commando running. These kids should be [bleep]ing castrated. BC2 is making it hard for me to prefer it due to the fact that even at level 10 with nearly 20 hours played I'm still getting killed all the time because people have much better optics, specialisations and weapons than me. Without the tracer gun I'm almost helpless against helicopters, so Isla Innocentes or whatever is an enormous pain in the [wagon], people [bleep] the crap out of the Blackhawks spraying with the miniguns. Too many people play Recon and just camp at the back of the maps, understandable when defending but when you're playing rush and attacking with 2/3rds of the team just sitting back with their GOLs it leads to pretty much an instant loss.

I'm actually not surpised by this list. The only thing I am surpised at is that CoD is not number one, I guess Activision couldn't cough up the cash to bribe Guinness. If the question was what are the most popular 50 franchises of all time then this would be a pretty accurate list. The question of what is the "best" is just a stupid question to ask for games and pretty much anything really when there are so many to choose from. Lol whenever these lists are posted its always "OMFG X GAME NOT IN TOP 10".

PS3 is actually better for this because you don't have to go through the BS of buying MS points. I dont see a difference really. Microsoft just transferred the funds into points. PSN just goes straight through. The point is that on 360 a lot of the time you have to buy more points than you need.

I've not tried using the shotguns online, but I like the singleplayer ones.

In Sabotage I used to just wait for someone to get an AC-130, and then plant, because 9/10 times its an auto win because you can kill anyone trying to defuse.

If theres a beta, and it looks good from the beta, then I'll preorder. Otherwise I'll wait a month to see if any massive balance issues emerge, bearing in mind that MW2 was ok until people discovered commando set ups, OMA/DC, TI boosting, thermal, etc. Probably better to ignore any professional reviews as they'll give it a good score regardless of whether its good or not.

You mean those are good right? Although MP44 is kinda meh. The deagle is the real one in CoD4 also. I always liked the MP44 actually, kind of like an AK without the sway. It was pretty rare as well. I think they have come out and said that they don't agree with Commando or OMA. If they have a beta then maybe a lot of the crap would be cleared up pre release. I'm not going to get my hopes up though.

Leaning towards returning to CoD4 with some BC2 on the side. I'm just sick of commando, OMA DC, AC-130/CG, Harriers, [cabbage] spawns, maps that are mostly bad, M/L/C set ups and those with stuff like akimbo Glocks, thermal, deathstreaks, lag, boosters, hackers, overpowered guns, etc. The game has its redeeming qualities but the bad outweighs the good, whilst in CoD4 all you have to contend with are martyrdom, last stand and juggernaught, though jugg is annoying rather than overpowered, and the ocasionally host ended game. Plus there is a little gun called the M40A3, as well as the MP5, MP44, and G36C.

From what I've seen boosters get a lot of abuse in the comments so be prepared for that.

You'll have a VIP code if you bought the game new, I thought the whole point was to discourage people buying the game used or pirating the game.

I don't know about dungeoneering, but Farming was bad, Hunter bad, and Summoning was released half baked to distract people from the 10th of December updates.

Yeah I got that to work earlier. I got 7 kills with it before I was finally noticed and shot down.
