You don't need Iron Lungs. 3 x Special is generally just a waste, with M4 I'd take bandolier. AK74u go with SP rather than DT, especially as you have a silencer, which worsens the damage at range, as well as the hipfiring if you didn't know that. I tend to just go with the iron sights. If you're not going to use silenced MP5 then use the red dot, the sights are fine but pretty bad at long range so you might as well have the red dot. I find using 3 x Frag pretty low personally, I'd use bandolier. Also for the AK because you're using the noobtube and no bandolier use SP because you'll run out of ammo too fast with DT. I have a USP silenced on every class, but the pistols just personal choice really, though M9 is probably the worst. Hmm yeah why don't you take RPGs with that and blow up you're own team at the start of HC S&D. Pretty much the only way you can be more of an [wagon]. I like how its possible to debate on CoD4 classes, for MW2 OMA/DC w/tube just beats all. Same with WaW's Jugg + MP40.

Obvious troll is obvious. I think theres problems specific to MW2 that drag it down, like Commando, OMA, ACR, HBS bad maps etc. Even though they appear to have kept the mentality of customisable killstreaks and such, a MW2 without the problems like Commando would actually be pretty decent, as long as theres balance to the guns. If they eliminate the stuff that pretty much everybody hates like Commando and HBS then it should be pretty good, I can understand why they've left customisable killstreaks because there are mixed views on that, but if they take out the stuff thats undeniably broken like OMA/DC it should be pretty good.

Uncharted 1, Batman Arkham Asylum. And don't get MW2, its awful in its current state.

If you look at the buggy he doesn't actually get kills from it, so maybe it just stuns or something. If you look at the end it seems you can now record your matches in some way. I reckon I could deal with the killstreaks if they're handled properly, they've already said there are no nukes which is probably the worst KS on MW2 as it encourages the camping the most. Also they've said no Commando and also no secondaries. So as long as the killstreaks aren't crazy overpowered like in MW2 or they manage to come up with some new kind of [cabbage] to rival Commando or OMA, I can't see it as being as bad as MW2. From this video I'm most pissed off with Care Packages coming back, all they do is reward noobs. Btw did you guys notice the spring loaded knife or something when he got the "skewered bonus"? Hmm [cabbage] sense is tingling.

I assume Atom Smash40s your old username or something? Because before I clicked on the thread I had no idea who it was lol. if it ever comes out, pretty sure its been delayed like 3 times now.

Well in terms of CoD theres always been a kind of "lunge" forward with the knife, so if they're close enough its pretty much an insta kill. Its only with MW2 that its been taken to a ridiculous extreme with the infinite sprint, increased speed and increased lunge range Marathon/Lightweight/Commando setup, and a tactical knife allowing you to knife quicker. I look upon it as basically griefing its that bad. Before MW2 for CoD I considered the 1 hit kill knife fine because it works as a last resort weapon when they're close and you need to reload or whatever, sometimes lag would cause you not to hit or whatever but it was basically fine. It was never effective to use as a primary weapon before MW2, and if you wanted to use it like that you had to use tactics and stealth rather than the no skill straight up bullrushing and teleport dashing of MW2. For BFBC2 which is now MW2s main competitor in terms of modern FPS I'd say the knifing is fine because they have to be really close and it often doesn't connect, so its good for either a humiliation kill when they're unaware or in an emergency. For games like CoD and Battlefield where you can die in 2-3 bullets up close a 1 hit kill knife is fine, maybe you could say you need to pull out the knife rather than just have it at the press of a button, but then that would make it pretty much only good for humiliation kills so it would be pretty much useless. For FPSs where you have a ton more health a 1 hit knife shouldn't be there, I don't tend to play them but I spent a lot of time with Resistance: Fall of Man on the PS3, on there a melee was butting someone with your gun, which took half their health, so you would need to have either already shot them or follow it up with shooting, which seems a fair way of doing things, seen as if you can melee them twice they're either unaware or just plain bad.

If you're lagging then yeah it is. CoD4 is the best out of the 3 in terms of hit detection, but it will never be perfect.

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?

Yeah I know people jump off to affect world tendency and such, but I find it very difficult to believe all the people dying are doing it on purpose. -
Yay for CoD4 and RE4. Well GT5 prologue came out, and its good but obviously limited in that its a taster for the main game. I should think GT5 will trump Forza 3, simply for the amazing level of detail they seem to be putting in and the quantity of cars.

Demon's Souls. Bloodstains are such a great idea, its hilarious to see all these idiots running straight off ledges. Only about 6 hours in, but I'm already loving it, especially how you can have any combo of weapons you want. Just spent a bit screwing around in the Nexus trying wierd combos, dual pickaxes and dual shields is pretty funny. -
Really if you want to sum up why the killstreaks and game are bad you can just look at Care Packages. Get a 4 or even 3 killstreak and you could randomly get anything up to a Chopper Gunner or AC-130. Such a terrible idea to have that kind of randomness in a game, all it does is give the bad players a chance to use the crazy killstreaks, so that they don't trade the game in and instead buy DLC.

I either dislike or haven't played 90% of this list, apart from Midtown Madness and Crazy Taxi, which were fun back in the day but are pretty shallow.

Yeah I played the beta a few times and it is pretty awful. Not really enormous issues in balance or gameplay like MW2, its just terribly bland and really is like a bad mix up of CoD and BFBC2, the controls are clunky, animations are bad or ripped straight from BFBC2, guns feel terrible, crap "scorechain" killstreak rip off and a tendency to crash a lot. Its clear this was a rushjob, so I think I can say a big "I told you so" to all the guys on the front page who were making comments like "DICE insta buy".

You enjoy this game because you're casual. Like I said pick up CoD4 cheap and you'll understand why this game looks so bad next to it. Yeah explosives aren't nearly as bad in CoD4; no constantly replacing Claymores with OMA/Scav, no OMA/Scav tubing, no Javelins/RPGs with DC. Honestly DC RPGs are ridiculous, you can be standing so far away and still die, and the DC Javelin is basically a reloadable Predator. Been using the CoD4 RPGs and its so much harder and satisfying to get kills with, a Sonic Boom RPG on CoD4 seems less powerful than just a regular MW2 RPG, plus it spirals out of control way closer. The only exploit is Overkilling to get 4 tubes, but I hardly ever see that because people don't want to sacrifice SP/UAV jammer.
-
When I was doing that I found it better to run 3-4-5, with sentry gun on the 5th. Less frustrating, and you can get a lot of the UAV one done at the same time.
-
There's a trophy for that? Not the sniper specifically but theres a trophy for taking out a Warhawk with anything other than a rocket launcher.
-
I remember doing that once on Warhawk, annoyingly before trophies were added to the game.
-
I was able to take screenshots in the Uncharted 2 beta but I can't remember whether that was specific to that game. I can't really remember, but I think all you need is to have a USB keyboard connected and to press print screen.

I seriously doubt the suggestions had any effect on the outcome. It wouldn't be like a large Non-Valve game company to actually listen to their players. No, I think these are all Infinity Ward ideas that they made without regard to the community. Personally, I haven't ever had much problem with MLC or noobtubes mostly because if I am genuinely frustrated by them I just leave the game. Actually they did take most of the ideas from the community, there was a twitter thing where people could suggest stuff, and people were suggesting stuff like 2 attachments, dual weilding guns, AC-130s, shotgun secondaries and stuff like that which made it into the game. Most of the tweets looked like they were coming from the whiny 14 year old part of the community though, so its not that they didn't listen, its that they listened to the wrong people. The problem with MW2 is they never thought about the implications of adding all this mad [cabbage] in, so thats why the game is now broken in terms of balance. Seems like its a pretty big problem if its making you ragequit the game. But then you played WaW on Wii right so anythings probably a step up from that.

CoD4's spawning issues are nothing when compared with MW2's, that game has the worst spawns I've ever seen. Only really becomes an issue on CoD4 playing Domination where you only have one flag and are against a good team who know how to spawn trap effectively. xxxgod you bought hardened? At least it wasn't prestige, I'd be so pissed if I'd payed £149.99 for that POS.
-
I think theres probably just as many whiny kids on the PS3, you just don't notice it because they don't have headsets. Lol count yourself lucky, when I first got the console you had to quit games to even send messages. At least PS3 has predictive text though.
-
Neither does dying from OMA tubes, Commando, hackers, AC-130s, CGs, Thermal, DC RPGs+Scavenger, Predators, ACRs, etc, etc.
-
No, what makes it a good thing is that the maps are so much better than MW2's. Well in CoD4 unlike MW2 all the guns are pretty much balanced so no one gun is really better than another, so its not like you're getting screwed over at a low level. Yeah theres only 3 LMGs and 2 shotguns, but unlike MW2 the guns have a sense of individuality about them, theres a point to using all of the guns. Guns are actually fun to use and satisfying to get kills with. Yeah the grenades are too strong really, on certain maps it can get annoying, but lets be honest throwing a frag through a window and getting a triple kill never gets old.
-
The only attachment to increase damage is ACOG on the M40, which is annoying because with SP its 1HK anywhere in the body, so kids can run up to you and no scope you in the leg from 2 feet away thinking they're badasses. I spent about an hour in speedhack games last night, was pretty fun, and I managed to get 20 or so shotgun headshots.

My friend sent his 60GB to be repaired locally, but it broke like twice after that so he sold it and bought an Xbox.
