  1. The LED's are error lights, look through your motherboard manuall and find out what they mean. Do any fans in your case light up? If not it's probably a PSU problem, if they do you can rule that out and move onto a minimal setup, 1 RAM stick in slot 1, CPU, onboard graphics, etc and try to rule out parts.
  2. Don't image the OS onto the SSD, as imaging programs don't take into account partition alignments and you won't experience the full speed of the SSD. Reinstall. A dedicaded graphics card will do what it says, it's dedicated to producing the graphics you see on screen. Integrated chips like the HD2000 you have are fine for watching HD streams or playing old games like CS 1.6 but will struggle for anything else gaming related. Meaning is pretty much a no go for you unless you add in a GPU.

    Today...

Finally got round to installing CM7 on my phone, doubt i'll be paying much attention today in class...
  4. Bought Portal 2 in the Steam autumn sale, haven't had time to play it yet though. :( Maybe tonight.
  5. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_1155 Quick summary of 1155 chipsets. For the GPU you want to set a budget obviously and then compare benchmarks. Anandtech.com is a good site for this. Diferent companies releases of the same card generally mean a stock overclock from the original Nvidia/AMD clock, aftermarket coolers and branding.
  6. Change the motherboard, you need a z68 chipset if you're wanting to OC and get the most out of your system.
  7. One Piercing Note is now f2p? Didn't see that mentioned... :wall:
  8. Do you have to share your utilities with them? 1 small kitchen for 4 people so pretty much. Even if I told them not to they'd probably forget.

    Today...

Woke up not long ago, my jaw is aching like crazy but atleast it's not swollen.
  10. Sticky pans. Considering bringing a non stick one from home but knowing my flatmates they'd just ruin it anyway.

    Today...

Sat here holding ice to my face thatnks to a drunk girl, fun times <_<
  12. There's also Paint.net. Not sure how it compares to Photoshop though.
  13. Definately worth installing one and scanning. Have you updated your Internet device drivers? Restoring might have deleted the most recent ones. Just a thought.
  14. Overzealous screaming fans are obnoxious as hell, regardless of the gender. Curious why you're watching a show with him on it. Because it's a decent show, only today he's the guest so it sucks.
  15. Screaming girls that won't shut the hell up. Justin Beiber is on a show that I'm watching now that's live with a live audience. Everytime he even moves or talks they scream like crazy. Get over it already, just because you scream doesn't mean he's going to marry you or anyting geez.
  16. It's a heatsink, or an aftermarket cooler. Not going to get very far just strapping a fan directly onto your CPU  The 1155 is an omision on Newegg's part. Manufacturers page shows it supports 1155 sockets. I was confused when you mentioned it. Stupid Newegg.
  17. For anything CPU related (MB, heatsink, etc): Make sure you're buying the right socket. For the i5 2500k you want the LGA 1155 socket. Z68 is the latest chipset for this but make sure the board you're buying has all the standard features offered by this. Some Info. PSU: Don't skimp! Buy a well known brand, prefferably with an 80+ rating for efficiency. Case: Make sure it fits all your components, especially the GPU and heatsink. RAM: Low proffile is best as it doesn't interfere with aftermarket heatsinks. That's all that pops to mind for now.
  18. So, from my POV it looks quite good. Points that stick out are naff build quality and it get's quite hot. Like I said before, check out the outlet as some on there can be had for 40% less. Edit, just checked and there's nothing there right now. Usually updated at around 3pm each day IIRC.
  19. Review Check out the outlet if you're set on a Dell, otherwise what country are you in?
  20. Back to the flower games it is then I guess. People who want to make money from over the top odds in their favour will find other ways to gamble.
  21. Your guide was the info post from /g/ wasnt it? It's outdated on prices. Due to flooding of factories recently HDD prices have soared and aren't expected to be back to what they were untill late 2012. Depends if you're going to need the 1TB or not, your choice. Isn't it black friday sometime soon? Might be worth waiting till then to see what bargains you can grab if you aren't desperatly in need of a new computer.
  22. Swap the cooler out to this. That means changing the RAM to something without fins like this. If you're looking to save you can do a couple of things: Swap the HDD to a 500GB one until prices stabalise Leave the 1TB drive and drop the SSD Drop to 500GB and drop the SSD Actually, looking at it now if you change what I've said, incluiding the PSU it brings it to Subtotal: $954.91. No need to ditch the SSD. :) But please please please don't skimp out on the PSU! That's from a review on a Raidmax PSU. Buy a decent brand name, you don't want it going pop and taking your system with it. Get this instead. $89.99 with a $25 mail in rebait and "$10 off w/ promo code EMCJJKB29, ends 11/14"
