Don't buy an i7 960, you're buying into a dead socket. Here's something I quickly specced up: i7 2600k for hyperthreading and overclocking. 560Ti with 2GB VRAM, could fit it into budget and the VRAM may be needed depending on your resolution and the amount of textures you game with. Asus board with all the Z68 socket features, PCI 3.0 ready, 8x SLI slots for upgrade paths. 750W modular PSU, more than enough and will cover you for SLI in the future. 16GB of the RAM you wanted. Good case with cable management, airflow, etc... Enclosed loop water cooler for no height problems with your RAM. Products from here. -Edit- Swap the PSU for this.
