    Today...

Damn you and your snow, I miss it. Rarely ever get it but this winter has been really messed up. :???: http://www.eltiempo.es/valencia.html?v=historico Feels like double the temps that are shown there sometimes due to it being spring like sun and 0 clouds.
  2. Are you running integrated graphics? If so there's your problem. If not, i'm not sure if AMD have an optimus program like Nvidia but it could be that it's not picking up Skyrim as needing the dedicated GPU. But my bet would be with the first thing I said.
  3. This is where I'm getting it.
  4. If you look in the top right next to the overall xp counter, you can see your last xp gain and it stays there static for a while. I know, my point is that your eye isn't drawn to it, and i'm never sure if it's changed or i've hit the same amount again.
  5. Just a couple of things i'd change: They should have made it so you need to add logs to the fire for Skoll to be able to get the drop, too many people just sitting around doing nothing waiting. Option for the XP circle things without the stupid overhead xp popup gain. Have the XP counter like the old one where xp falls from the top of the screen and vanishing. Harder to see the xp from attacks now so you know when to switch to a new target.

    Today...

Today I learned my girlfriend has no idea what Mr. Men are. That's one of her birthday presents sorted out then.
  7. For Gaming, an i7-2600k is not worth the $100. Very few games utilize hyperthreading. Worth it for that.
  8. patch notes an update or 2 ago. Was in today's patch notes.
  9. Don't buy an i7 960, you're buying into a dead socket. Here's something I quickly specced up: i7 2600k for hyperthreading and overclocking. 560Ti with 2GB VRAM, could fit it into budget and the VRAM may be needed depending on your resolution and the amount of textures you game with. Asus board with all the Z68 socket features, PCI 3.0 ready, 8x SLI slots for upgrade paths. 750W modular PSU, more than enough and will cover you for SLI in the future. 16GB of the RAM you wanted. Good case with cable management, airflow, etc... Enclosed loop water cooler for no height problems with your RAM. Products from here. -Edit- Swap the PSU for this.
  10. Wowza that sounds like a great deal... 1100 a year fees though (105~/class, 10 classes, less classes next year though) so i'm assuming it evens out with you guys, although i'm not sure how university works in America (if you have to pay and that).
  11. Holy crap you guys spend a lot on books. Makes me grateful that everything I need is on my university's website in pdf form, and anything else can be rented for 2 weeks at a time from one of the 5 o 6 libraries on campus.

    Today...

Spent the morning procrastinating. Should probably start revising for exams soon. I did find this on my travels though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zqmdv5iyIOY&feature=player_embedded
  13. Not really, W7 only takes up about 15GB with SP1 installed, might be slightly more for Ultimate. That leaves plenty of space for programs that can actually benefit from an SSD. Space Sniffer is a good program to use to find out what's using up all your space and how big your Windows folder is at the minute.
  14. Crucial M4 definatly. Just a note, you'll want to change the RAM setup you've got going at the moment. SandyBridge uses dual channel controllers so for best performance you want 2x2Gb or 2x4Gb.

    Today...

Found out I've somehow managed to fluke a pass in the test I took yesterday, after a week of being sick and not studying and a weekend of lying in bed without energy to do anything. And I don't even understand the subject... Feelsgoodman.jpg
  17. Update the driver from the motherboard manufacturers page, not from dell or whoevers site it is. Try the downloadable client. Try another browser. If it doesn't work its a router problem, if it does, search your drive for anything jagex/runescape related and delete it, uninstall java and reinstall.
  18. The fans on the RAM will cause problems with aircoolers, either change it to some low profile RAM or consider an enclosed water cooler like the one I suggested.
  19. The stock cooler is good for upto around 4Ghz, after that you want something like this. Might also want to consider a 2GB card for that resolution, depending on what games you are planning on playing and how high graphic settings are going to be. Something like this.
  20. You say your case is spotless on the inside, have you knocked the GPU in any way? Check it's completly plugged in. Otherwise it looks like it's failing, return it if it's still under warranty.
