  1. Being wide awake in bed at 9:15am waiting for my 9:30am alarm to go off, it goes off and I put it on snooze just incase and bam! I fall asleep and am literaly unable to get up when my alarm goes off. Kept snoozing it every 10 mins untill 10:45...
  2. I'm not entirely sure why but this had me giggling like a little girl.
  3. That sucks Noxx, and it's kind of creepy to read as it's pretty much exactly what happened to me. The only advice I've got is don't expect it to be easy to move on, or quick for that. It's coming up 2 months since my ex left me for pretty much the exact same reasons and I still get the urge to call her and text her, I still think about her everytime my mind has nothing else to do, I still dream about her... The best thing to do is to rediscover yourself, ocupy your time with things you like and not let your mind wander to the 'what ifs'.
  4. If you're at your PC and recieve an SMS you can reply to it from your computer for example. I prefer typing with a keyboard to a touchscreen. And you can copy files to your PC, great if you've forgotten/lost the data cable. They're just a few examples, I only downloaded it the other day so I haven't used it fully.
  5. And never underestimate the anger that comes with incorrectly prepared ones. Cod + batter + chip with salt. What is there to prepare incorrectly. You forgot love. But really, using the right type of oil and the cooking time is important, I've had chips that were orange that didn't taste very good because they used a weird oil, and somewhere else I've had cod that was encased in so much batter that eating it felt like a mining operation. It's not difficult to do it right, but I've seen lots of chippies still mess it up. I see your point. Good thing my local chippie did it perfectly, and I used to live 1/2 an hour away from whitby which supposedly does the best fish and chips, so I've never it badly cooked. OT. Scotch Eggs are amazing, my dad made them a few times and they were much nicer than store bought ones, then again most food is... :)
  6. Airdroid: Controll your phone from your PC. LLama: Changes settings such as call volume, wifi, gps, etc based on which radio tower you're connected to. Swype: Different keyboard, lets me type much faster. AdFree: Adblocker, but only if you're rooted. Alarm clock Xtreme: Makes you solve simple maths problems before you can turn of your alarm, great if you suck at waking up like me.
  7. Ok for 10/month with no download limit or throttling. Until you see this that is...

  9. Puff has always been a sound of exasperation to me. OT:
  10. Give her her space but make sure you she doesn't forget you exist. My ex decided she needed space, stopped talking to me for a week and decided she was better off without the stress of worrying about a boyfriend because she'd been having the time of her life with her friends and it made her life easier not having to make time for me. Admitedly her having university exams at the time and the fact that her mum is crazy and hates me didn't help, along with the stress of a long distance relationship...
  11. There's normally a combination of fn key + another key to activate/de-activate it. Also if you dual boot check you haven't de-activated it in the other OS as for me it carries over.
  12. You'd be suprised at how little is needed to run it.

Worth getting the 256bit version for 10$ more. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/156?vs=180
  15. Just a note, the "HD Facetime Camera" is on the back, so unless you call people standing infront of a mirror you're stuck with the VGA front camera... I have no use for a tablet and if I did I would buy an Ainovo Novo7 or similar, there's not justifying 500$ for the Ipad...
  16. That's what I've got, not sure if any of it is worth anything. Anything decent in those other boxes? I didn't realise I had them.
  17. Worth buying a key for anything in there?
  18. Probably be best to make this a random image thread and be done with it. Everyone has a different sense of humour...
  19. Atleast you know why she broke up with you and that she's with someone else. I'm still waiting a month after the breakup for a reason, all I've heard is rumours, every time I ask to meet she comes up with an excuse at the last minute. Hard to move on when you've got a million questions flying round your head 24h/day 7days/week...

Waiting for W8 to download, wish it would hurry up or it'll be too late to play around with it much tonigh... :(
  21. You can't get to it. To get to the Factory Default run-through, you have to be able to Launch Windows Repair... which won't launch. Again, I'm not 100% sure if it has a recovery partition, but I'm almost positive it does because I believe he's reformatted the laptop in the past. I've Googled everything I know but they all suggested logging in to Safe mode (can't) or launching Windows Repair (can't). If it has one you CAN get to it. Recovery partitions are not designed be access once the system has loaded up. If there is a recovery partition there will be a key combination to press during the boot sequence to load it up; the same way you press a button to make BIOS open or the boot menu. Eg Mac osx lion you hold command+r (i think that's the one) during boot to make the recovery partition load. It was never listed. And I found nothing through a quick Google search. There is indeed a Recovery Partition. because I ended up having to reformat the Windows partition and reinstall Windows 7 completely for everything to work (and a Recovery partition was listed when I was going through the process). but I have presumably fixed the problem, he just unfortunately lost every single thing that he had :ohnoes: . Better than paying someone to do it or buying an entirely new computer, so he shouldn't be too upset! thanks for all the replies guys. I haven't played Runescape in years and I very rarely poke around the forums... but I always come here for computer problems because of the quick responses & the awesome help! If you'd read my post you could have copied everything easily...

Female Watson? Say wut now? Doubt it'll be better than the BBC series anyway.
  23. Too tired to think now, but burn a linux live cd, copy important files to an external hard drive/usb, download a free, legal w7 ISO from digital river (info)(I guess they have xp too), and reinstall using the product key that's normally on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop. I might edit tomorrow with other ideas.
