I spilt coffee all over my MacBook Pro this morning, aka read spilt $2 cup of coffee on 2k+ machine.. The machine is toast, so I had to buy a new laptop with money I didn't really want to spend, but I need my computer to make my living so it had to be done. In the process of recovering my HDD. In some way I'm considering this karma for making that bad joke last night about Nex's laptop..

Your ugly laptop won't be ugly after 2am.
  3. I like that idea a bit more, because I would agree that awarding a losing team with silver does feel a bit strange. I think you could fix the probably of having the gold metal match go last is use the original goal metal match at a chance at a bye to take you directly to the final Gold Medal Match. I choose to draw it on a sticky note real quick so I hope the idea translates. This would basically allow for a bronze medal match, a silver medal match, and then a gold medal match.

There was a point in my life I never imagined I'd be able to drink 12 beers, then I got older, and now I face that same challenge with an 18 pack.
  5. If the medals were award the way you mentioned, it would be better for spectators in the sense that the level of competition would be elevated in the Bronze medal game, but it really wouldn't be fair to say give Sweden the Bronze after they've already played and beat Finland 2-1 in the semi-finals.
  6. I avoid over glorify the past as I find the present to be very satisfying,
  7. Canada was really impressive, I don't think we ever really stood a chance today.
  8. Watching the metal presentation was rough as they don't really allow the 2nd place team enough time to collect themselves. There was like only one or two of our ladies that looked moderately excited to be medaling, the rest looked devastated.
  9. Anchor Steam, Rogue, Alaskan, Pyramid, New Belgium, Red Hook, DogFish, & countless local breweries that you're not going to hear about unless your visit any given city. I can only name you ones on the west coast, but that'd be overkill to do. Did you guys see that both the American and Canadian hockey team had an impromptu street hockey match. I read about it this morning before catch the games this morning. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/hockeybest-before-usa-canada-usa-meets-canada-in-sochi-street-hockey/ Looking forward to the semi-final match.
  10. The only thing that prevents Titanfall from being the next huge FPS is being exclusive to the One, while the PS4 continues to out sell the One, meaning less gamers will have a chance to play it. It's rare to have a dominate game anymore, without it be available on everything. I do believe Titanfall will be a hit, it just won't become a massive hit like Battlefield or CoD.
  11. I think Tito's Vodka has become somewhat of a national choice, as it's pretty much everywhere these days, not to mention it's what I drink, but there are a bunch of small distilleries that do a decent job. On the beer front, I think America beats everybody. I want to watch more of these events live, but I really can't convince myself to get up at those hours. It makes me happy the World Cup is in Brazil making the time change more manageable.
  12. I was thinking of heading up to Vancouver after the break to see a game, who would make for the best match-up? Blues, Wild, or Senators?
  13. Remember to drink American (alcohol) to support our athletes.

At some point during the 3rd quarter, we starting a mash pit in the center of the living room and I got checked so hard, I flew off my feet and landed hard on my hip. my knuckles and elbow are also scrapped up a bit from god knows what, but it was all done for the glory of the Seahawks!

This conversation was a few posts ago, but I'm lucky enough to be a dude who can grow a full beard. So many guys can't so I grow mine with pride. I even make excuses to grow my out like the most recent was a "new years" beard. I should probably start working on my MLK beard.
  16. I got invited to play this past weekend also, but I didn't have the time to do it.
  17. The best thing to do would be to consult your doctor since like you said, you just went through major surgery. Most likely they'll suggest you to take physical therapy to help regain the strength and motion back into your arm.

I went snowboarding yesterday, which unintentionally has become a NYE tradition of mine. Choose not to go out so I drank a bottle of champagne & some wine at home.

I'm suppose to have a half-sister that lives in Alaska so the odds of me running into her are very slim, knock on wood.

My brother saw his show in Oakland. He was really impressed with Kendrick's stage performance. He didn't enjoy the masks that Kanye wore as he felt they acted as a barrier between Kanye and the Audience, taking away from the overall performance. Yeezus was probably my favorite rap/hip-hop album of the year. It simply blew my mind listening to it, and I'm not like the craziest Kanye fan.

Yesterday was my 25th. I didn't do anything special, but that suits me just fine. I actually wasn't planning to celebrate it beyond the surprise, it just kind of happened. As it was your birthday, shouldn't your twin have come to you? It's easier to pull the birthday card when we're together.

Wednesday was my 25th birthday so I flew to SF to surprise my twin at work. Our buddy Matt came out for the night too, and we all went out in North Beach which is the italian neighborhood of SF. Got hella drunk bar hopping. Woke up Thursday with the wildest hangover I've ever had in my life, no joke. My body didn't want to function at all, it was strange, but that's how you know you're getting old. Managed to recover enough to find my way back to SFO and catch my flight home. edit: I forgot to add, that Friday, I think my entire family got banned from a bar for starting a bar fight celebrating my father's birthday.
  23. I've been listening a lot to the album Psychic by Darkside lately.

You can get laid in the library too, you're just going to the wrong libraries.
