    Today...

I just had my first pair of glasses snap in half on me today. Not sure how to feel about it being that they're a month over a year old.

There is a really nice cajan restaurant in Lower Queen Anne (north west corner of the Seattle Center) which is currently my favorite restaurant in Seattle. It's called Toulouse Petit.
  4. Is The World's End out yet? I just saw the trailer for the first time today.. Looks exactly like Hot Fuzz but with Robots. Not sure I'm in for a repeat. I saw the new Wolverine movie earlier. It's was a bit of a let down. It got kind of weird near the end and it just wasn't for me. One of the more exciting parts of the film was the after credits preview for the next x-men film.

Have you tried a watermelon? Nope. Should I? yes, it's pretty amazing.

  8. I saw Pacific Rim tonight, good film, I'd probably give it a 7/10. I definitely found the Japanese/manga storytelling elements very refreshing from the typical Hollywood format.

I could have saved a lot of money on my education if it was subsidized, but at the end of the day it doesn't bother me. It is what it is.
  10. I'm hoping Civ 5 wins the community choice. I would love to get it at that price.
  11. I guess JK Rowling released a crime novel a few months back under then name of Robert Galbraith titled The Cuckoo's Calling. Reviews for the book have been positive so far. Amazon description: I'm a fan of crime novels, so I might actually buy this one, unlike Casual Vacancy, when circulation improves.

I think he could easily sue for defamation given the outrageous behavior of the media. If he does, then his cash situation would be very good. The media has been pretty kind to Zimmerman given the situation. He did kill a person, you really can't take that away from him regardless of how it's represented.
  13. I only wish I waited the week and half after Monaco's OSX release to purchase the game. It's on sale for $10 from $15.
  14. My latest books are The Art of Immersion and The Buddha Walks Into A Bar. Been sort of on a nonfiction kick lately. Started to read The End of Vandalism by Tom Drury which I bought almost 9 months ago, but I almost felt like I was wasting my time when I look at my stack of books to read.
  15. There is definitely an improvement with your newest set of pictures. Keep it up!
  16. I pretty much exclusively use Adobe Lightroom 4. I'll open photoshop if I have to do some manipulations that I simply can't do in Lightroom but that's getting rarer & rarer with each new version of Lightroom.
  17. I highly recommend Monaco (Steam), for anyone looking for a fun addictive game.

You know you've been too busy in irl when you don't realize RPG has been banned and making back alley deals with your own kind.
  19. Did you check out the Rijksmuseum behind you?

The longer you put off doing your vlog, the more pressure you'll put on yourself for to actually be any good when you start. My suggest to help with that pressure might be to starting recording episodes for a vlog, but not put them online until you feel comfortable with actually doing one. It takes practice.
  21. I saw Spring Breakers last night. It was a really unconventional film that played like it was film on MDMA. It is a neo-noir, so with that said, the plot is almost given if you know noir films. My biggest problem with the film was it's inability to make you care about it's character's.

If you look at the amount of money people can make using Adobe's products, the price for their software is pretty reasonable but for aspiring artists it is a pretty big out-of-pocket expense, which is why I would bet that most people's first experience with PS was through a pirated version.
  23. The new Superman film is good, but as a film that focuses a lot of time on his journey of self-discover, there isn't a lot of high action that you get in either the beginning or the last third. World War Z is more consistant from beginning to end. Both are good summer blockbusters, so it really depends what you're in the mood for.
