  1. I would be excited for the DLC if wasn't almost a year-delayed, & I still played Skyrim.

I sure hope so. They're pretty notorious for being picky with in-state kids, but they've supposedly gotten better in the past few years. Yeah, when I was applying to universities they were basically at the peak of favoring out-of-state/international students over in-state, but I've also heard they've got much better too. My step-sister was able to transfer there after a less then spectacular first-year at SPU last fall.

If you can get Western with distinctions, you should be able to get admission to the U.

I went snowboarding again today. Some of the runs were icy in some of the more technical areas, but it was a beautiful day to hit the slopes, with no lines at the chairs.

fought a pretty nasty 24hr bug yesterday. Probably the worst I've had in years.
  7. I've always been a person who has tried to complete one game before moving on to the next, even at the peak of my gaming.

I'm itching to ride mine, but it's currently in the 30s and snowy where I'm at.

The rental economy is a [bleep]ed system, but $700-$1000 is a pretty standard rate for one person if you want a decent apartment in a major US city.
  10. I love The Intouchables, many manly tears were had throughout, very good movie. I'd forgotten about Animal Kingdom, but damn, that was a good movie. What's wrong with Pulp Fiction? :c I think it's just one of those movies that it was hyped up so much before I got to watch it that once I did I just wasn't impressed. I also hate Travolta more then probably any other actor too so him playing Vincent doesn't help. Thinking of Travolta somehow reminded me of Harrison Ford and The Fugitive (1993). I've only ever seen it when it's being aired on TNT or one of those channels, but a great movie. I liked Blood Diamond, but really anything with DeCaprio is usually fairly good.
  11. Casablanca The Social Network The Graduate GhostBusters Manhattan (Woody Allen) The Departed/Goodfellas/Anything Scorsese Do The Right Thing (Spike Lee) CadyShack Life Aquatic/Anything West Anderson Wedding Crashers (Mentioning it for being a great buddy film) Trilogies: Ocean's Bourne Dark Knight Star Wars 4-6 French: Breathless Le Havre (2011) (It's really a finnish film, but it's in French) A Prophet (2009) The Intouchables (2011) (Very enjoyable film with a bit of twist a classic tale) Australia: Animal Kingdom Italy: Bicycle Thieves I hate Pulp Fiction. Basically a list of my favorites from my own personal collection. Obviously not a lot of "serious" films, but films I personally enjoy and can watch over and over on almost any given day. I'm a big fan of comedy, and noir/neo-noir. My list of foreign is also very weak compared to how many I actually watch, but I usually have to torrent them so I don't have the luxury of having them sitting in my physical collection for reference.

The rough setup I mentioned could be found for around $200, which isn't going to break your bank, and is something a person should be able to save up over a small period of time without the financial backing of anyones relatives.

I get asked a lot about camera setups, and one of the most common misconceptions I hear is that people believe it'll cost you $1000s to get started, which it doesn't. All a person basically needs is a camera that shoots 720p and a dedicated audio recorder, which depending on what your doing can be a very simple device such as the Zoom h1.

Hope everyone enjoyed their NYE. I went snowboarding with a few buddies and thankfully avoided a repeat NYE concussion.

I keep saying I'm going to get contacts for when I like workout and do sports and such, but I've just been way to lazy to actually do it since it's only one of my eyes that is bad.

It's a Commonwealth thing. I did all my post-Christmas shopping online. I really just didn't want to deal with any lines.

    Getting your Shepard Fairey on?
  20. I went and saw The Hobbit earlier this week, which I would give about a 3/5. I never made it past the first few chapters of the book when I tried to read it several years ago, so I can't make a comparisons but I felt it would have been a much stronger movie, had it been one movie instead of three. I think the best way to appreciate this film is to take it context that we just finished act 1 of a potential 8.5hr film.

My past couple Ebay auctions resulted in fake buyers. They usually instant buy, or bid last minute, and usually reside in the UK.
