Got those Newton running shoes I mentioned a while ago. I got hooked up at the local running store and ended up getting them to fall within my price range. I'm pretty pumped to start running in them!

I don't think you can get one for that cheap, or at least you can't get a tablet that could replace your laptop for practical use. The Nexus 7 is about $200, the Nexus 10 is $400, Microsoft's new Surface tablets start at $500, and the iPad mini starts at $330. I imagine you could take a wait and see approach if you're looking at a Windows 8 tablet as I'm sure their will be plenty of new options in the coming months.

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected

I think Trump wants to show that Obama was a poor student. That'd make more sense. It's interesting how he's brought this up so late in the election, but I guess anything you can do to swing undecided votes at this point.. -

Why anyone continues to waste their time and money on trying to prove Obama was born in Kenya is beyond me. -

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected

I didn't watch tonight's debate. From what I saw yesterday, it looked like the discussion was primarily on foreign policy which was brought up quite a bit in the previous debates. I didn't think I needed to sit through another debate listening to the same things rehashed. If anyone has any decent videos or articles that are worth checking out that aren't overly biased, please share. -
Would be fitting. I've seen a few races like that here where a good chunk of the race is on a beach, but I have never tried one.

Damn, your legs must recover much more quickly then mine. I would need at least a day break before I even thought legs.

The way most teams are structured, and specifically an NBA team, is usually around one superstar or a small core of players like the Heat, Spurs, Lakers, Thunder, etc. It's generally the same in cycling too, it takes a team built around 1 man or a small core to have success. Remove the superstar and you could still have a great team that makes it to the playoffs, but you'll never make it past the 1st or second round. They are subject to drug testing, but it isn't as rigorous as Olympic sports and the penalties aren't nearly has high. All recent cases of doping in the NBA have only resulted in 10 day suspensions and have been pretty hush-hush, where as when a cyclist is found to test positive for doping, it's all over the media and they're subject to much lengthier suspensions and penalties. You can also look at Alex Rodriguez, who as far as I'm aware got no more then a slap on the wrist for using steroids from 2001-2003, which lead to him acquiring a huge contract with the Yankees, etc. It's very interesting to me how differently we treat athletes of one sports compared to another. I also imagine it has more to do with how the sports are governed/organized (i.g. player unions, etc).

I never read the full report, but I read at least 10 different news articles since the report was finally released a few ago, and I honestly didn't read anything that really made me believe he doped. All of the evidence that I read of, were more of we saw this happen, and this, so we implied he was doing it. I don't remember reading anything saying they saw Armstrong doping. I think George Hincapie said something that was the closes to seeing him dope. But then again, you have a report entirely based on eye-witness accounts of events that happened over 10 years ago. Human memory is very inaccurate. Do I think the UCI really had a choice whether or not to stripe Armstrong of his achievements? Honestly no, I think they had to take this stance in order to protect the sport. Had they choose to let Armstrong keep his titles, I can only imagine the backlash that would follow. I think we can all agree, Armstrong was convicted of doping years ago by the media, because thats what people wanted to believe, the reports that recently came out, only gave people new reason to believe he doped, and for once stripe him of his titles. We have a horrible history of destroying global sport icons over the past 30-40 years. Look at Olympic track athletes in the 80s. Even Michael Phelps name was tarnished within weeks of him winning a record 8 medals at an Olympic games, being caught smoking weed, which more or less was his fault, but still it almost immediately took Phelps from this ultra-high-untouchable level of stardom back down to this very humanized Phelps. I have to go so I'm just going to quickly layout this question, why aren't NBA, NFL, etc treated to the same level of drug testing as olympic sport athletes?

I try and watch what I can live on TV, but often times I download or stream my tv shows to my laptop. I mostly do it for the connivence. I usually don't have time to sit down and watch all my shows live, or I'll be busy watching a basketball game or something, which takes priority.

Yeah, but I haven't gotten a new phone in forever and I figured I might as well be at the head of the wave for at least a year. I'll upgrade again when this phone becomes useless and I'll need 25G speed internet and other meaningless titles that signify minor improvements. Anyone upgrading from a older model really can't go wrong and the SG3 is at the top of it's class, so it should last you a good while. I'm at that point where I should be upgrading my phone, but I want to try and hold out as long as possible and really make my upgrade worth it. I currently have the iPhone 4.

The weather messed up my running schedule this week, so instead of going to the gym today, I did an improve trail run that took me on the sketchiest path that had me scaling the side of a mountain for a little bit, and then once I made it to the top of the trail, I was welcomed by a fence that seemed to have no openings so I had to jump it.

The moderator was slightly biases towards Obama, but I thought she did a decent job at not swaying the outcome of the debate, except for when she did do that on the spot fact-check. -

I thought Romney missed a few opportunities that really could have made him stand out to undecided voters. Like when he was asked what made himself different from Bush, but choose to temporarily deflect the question to respond to the previous question. I thought that was very important question to answer, especially for undecided voters. -
I would count a run like that as a legit leg workout.

A guy at my gym sounded like a sea lion barking today when he was grunting, don't be that guy. <-- motivation

Don't get fancy, just stick to the classic style.
-
The only advise I can really offer here is to take a hair style you have always admired and go get your hair cut to match it. Don't search for current trends, just do something you want to do.

The fact that Rick took the time to axed off his leg makes me believe he will be sticking around for a while, but for how long, I'm not sure. I want to say he'll survive at least another 3 episodes, tops.

I caught the early showing or I guess technically the east coast showing. I thought the premiere was alright. Hershel getting bitten the way he did was pretty cheap, but you can't expect anything to come easy for these guys. Especially when whatever-her-name-is, is about to pop.

2012 U.S. Elections - President Obama Re-elected

I believe it was CBS that did a poll of undecided voters and 50% had liked Biden, 31% liked Ryan, and the rest were still unsure. I listened to the first half of the debate online, before moving to a TV and I thought Biden did a much better job. His laughing and smiling didn't bother me too much. I thought he had a lot more confidence in himself and in his answers. Ryan spoke like he was reading a script, and when asked directly about what the Romney-Ryan ticket planned to do, his responses read like they didn't have an actually plan and it was something they'd figure it out after they'd get elected. That really worried me to be honest. A little part of me really wanted to like the Romney-Ryan ticket, but the fact that they haven't been able to supply any details of what their willing to do to turn around this country is a big reason I voted for the Obama-Biden ticket again (absentee ballot arrived Tuesday).
