  1. I haven't even looked at Adidas yet but I think I I think I saw a commercial recently for their lightweight/minimal line. I was also thinking about checking out some Pumas too but I'm unsure how well they hold up on distance running.
  2. I don't know yet. I need to look into a more minimal shoe that has more flex in the front of the shoe. My current Asics are just way to stiff up front, and too much bulk in the heal. I'll probably look into some Mizuno's or some different Asics or something. I don't know how global they are, but there is this shoe company Newtons that have a pair that would fit ideally with my running style but they're easily $30-50 more then I want to spend.
  3. I ended up making it to the book store today and ended up walking out with Jo Nesbo's The Redbreast and Tom Drury's The End of Vandalism. I"m probably set on books to read through the end of the year now. I also just started The Book of Basketball by Bill Simons that comes in at over 700 pages.

Who said Halloween is a one day event? Last time I checked it's a week long celebration. You're just not doing it right.
  5. The cover was a bit surprising. I expected something more "adult" since I feel like that's the general theme around the book. But I do like the simplicity of the cover, so I can't hate to much. I think most will remember/enjoy this book simply for it being a new JK Rowling's novel more then the plot. It just sounds like she wrote it to prove she could write something different from Harry Potter. I'm planning on stopping by the bookstore later this afternoon, so I'll probably check it out, but I think it'll be something I'll ask for Christmas or something.
  6. I need to get new running shoes.. My feet have been killing me.
  7. Anyone getting JK Rowling's new book The Casual Vacancy tomorrow?
  8. lol, congrats! Range was always one of my favorite combat skills!
  9. Excited for tonights game. First time I'll get to watch my Seahawks play this season. Damn Californian teams hog all the TV coverage.
  10. I did a little gambling when I was last in Vegas. I played a few rounds of blackjack. I was doing alright, got up some but after a few bad hands I quit and broke even. The only problem I had with Vegas is that they have really high minimums at nearly all the tables, which made it very intimidating but also very fun. Is this a survey for a research project? I only ask because that's how this topic came off to me.
  11. I firmly believe their are exercises women do, strictly to arouse men, like you can see it in their eyes when they do it too.
  12. You mean Spandex, yeah it's amazing.
  13. I hate going to the gym at night, too many people, and I'm usually already pretty tired from my day anyways. I kind of have a rule that if I can't make it to the gym by 3, I'll skip that day, and usually do something else like run or bike. since it takes much less prep-work. I used to fret missed days, but unless I'm actually training for something, I usually don't worry about it.
  14. I came across this free album Eternal Champ by Sweet Valley last night. I've listened to it a couple times since. It has a really nice sound, blending video game soundtrack samples together that comes out with a clean fluid sound, which is pretty rare when you hear people sampling 8-bit video games. http://sweetvalley.bandcamp.com/album/eternal-champ
  15. I think the only way to feel offended by his statements, is if you take them out of context.

I would have never known had no one mentioned it. Watching CNN right now, is the first time I've heard it mentioned by US media, besides an article by the Huffington Post when I googled it. had it been a Kardashian, it'd be a different story.

I don't even know what happened.. She and PW were suntanning naked in France, pics were taken and are about to be published. I ended up googling them out of curiosity. Since the photographer used digital zoom, they're not the most flattering pictures.

I don't even know what happened..
  19. Signed up for a half-marathon + 5k last night set for the last weekend of November in Seattle. Figured since I'd be up there already for Thanksgiving, I'd run it. Wanted to last year but my knee was buggin'.

Started working on a series of collegiate color palette posters. I might get them printed up or use them as an excuse to learn silk screening.
  21. Blasphemy! Last Crusade deserves an 8 on the sequel scale.
  22. Kind of disappointed it windows only, but I'll probably download it on my windows partition when I get a chance.
  23. Usually I don't like to either, but I had some other things I needed to get done. I probably won't get back to the gym again until Monday. I just need a quick fix to hold me off until then.
  24. Took about a week and a half off from the gym, and today was my first day back. It felt good.

Sometimes you can buy the access codes separately if you go the company's website for a discount. Something to consider if the option is available.
