  1. Yeah, they really don't make me look good, super close up, more or so amplifying the negatives. I ended up buying the Oliver Peoples frame today but in a smaller size that fit my face better. Just need to get the prescription lens made, and I'm good to go.
  2. It'd be a bit funny if he found himself back in Dallas, but Dallas is in the running for Deron Williams so I'm sure if they aren't able to acquire him, I'm sure they'll make a play for Nash. He did mention in a recent interview, that he's more interested in joining a team that's able to compete for a championship but as a competitor he's more interested in beating the best then joining him but he also said he's going to evaluate all his options equally, so yeah, like you said it wouldn't be surprising he we see him on the Heat next season. It'd be really interesting to see what that team is like with a real point guard.
  3. Hows Close Quarters? Is it worth the money?
  4. I'm just bored of the style. I've been wearing glasses of this style for about 6 years now, I just need something different to rotate between.
  5. Current glasses: [spoiler=picture] They're like a medium tortoise and I actually rotated this picture so my face isn't flipped.
  6. I've been wearing rectangular horn-rimmed glasses for a several years now, I'm just trying to get something a little different.
  7. As I sit here, a quick game of Battlefield 3 has turned into 40 minutes of downloading updates.. Updates really need to be able to download in the background..
  8. I went around this morning to a couple shops and tried a few pairs of the style I had post earlier. One of them actually had one of the Persols but they didn't fit my face that well. The pictures are not that great since there all close ups with my phone's front camera. The first two are some random pairs the crazy lady at the store wanted me to try on but they ended up working fairly well with my face. The top right pair is an english brand, they felt pretty nice on my face. The bottom left was the shops own speciality frame, and the bottom middle is an Oliver Peoples frame, and probably my personal favorite. [spoiler=picture]
  9. Friday for you guys. I'm kind of bummed because I don't think I'll be able to watch any of it because I'll be going to a baseball game that night. Then free agency official begins July 1st and there should be some interesting moves. I have a feeling Steve Nash will end up in NY with your Knicks. Apparently he recently got a place there and is currently living there. It'll be very interesting to see how that plays out.
  10. Has anyone read Gone Girl? I keep see it pop up all over the place, and was wondering if it's actually any good?
  11. I have only one bad eye too, but for me it's my right eye that's bad and my left eye that's perfect. I have a astigmatism, I don't know if that's what you would have too though, but I don't really know a lot about it except that my right eye is like miss curved or something. There used to not be contacts designed for it but now there are several options out there. I've heard of Warby Parker before, not much of a fan of their style, but I love how they let you order frames to try-on before you buy. More online retailers need to take that approach.
  12. I personally wouldn't waste money on shoes for one day especially something so limiting in versatility. Shoes like that are great if you can find them used, but if you honestly see yourself wearing them semi regularly, I guess go for it. I'm thinking about getting a pair of new glasses soon, and I was just wondering what you guys thought of these three, The first pair is this Danish brand Han and the other two are Persols.

I would agree, you can't entirely rely on your degree to get you a job after you graduate, most companies require 1-2 of prior work experience in their particular industry before they'll even consider you for their "entry" level jobs and internships are a great way to gain that experience and even earn school credit at the same time.

    Today...

It's been about a year since I've had a cider. I used to order them all the time.

I'd only hope his faux celebrity status hasn't gotten to his head.
  16. Before the game OKC just had that look on their faces like they aren't knew they were going to lose. It was awesome watching Lebron finally win one, and for the older guys on the team to finally get theirs too. I can't wait for next season!
  17. I finally saw the play this morning. That was just a total miscall by the sideline ref, but how would you implement replay technology into the game? It's not really designed for it.
  18. I honestly didn't except the Heat to win last night's game but I also didn't expect OKC to fall apart like they did. I have a hard time believing OKC will let another game slip out of their hands like that, but I expect a huge game from the Heat Thursday, I see them playing out of desperation and a desire to win on their home court.
  19. Scrolling through my twitter TL, I felt like I missed a great match, come on here and it's all conspiracies ha. I'll probably search YouTube for some highlights later.
  20. This Carreon fellow at FunnyJunk is just straight stupid.

I personally enjoyed a lot of the b&w of the train station. I also enjoyed a few from the first village like the scooter photo. I also really like the last landscape. I skipped over most of the Florence photos just because everyone that has visited there always end up taking pictures of the same things but granted there really isn't a whole lot else to take photos of there unless you really had a lot of time to explore.
  22. I've never thought about it like that, but that makes total sense.
  23. I think people on PSN would be more social if Sony included a free headset like Microsoft. Till this day I still don't understand why they haven't.
  24. I think it really comes down to which system's exclusives you like more. I personally prefer the PS3, which lead to me selling off my 360 about 2yrs ago. Blu-Ray is also a plus and free online play.
