  1. No Relation, Hulk Hogan's daughter is named Brooke and yeah I remember I found her very unattractive too.
  2. What you rather have win? Just one of the others on the list. I would recommend The Social Network if you haven't seen it yet. There are a lot of films coming out this year that I'm excited to see and I don't see why people are so bugged out by 3D, it doesn't ruin or take anything away from the film.
  3. Sounds almost exactly the combo of stuff I'd wear with them too except I have grey DB so I'd probably wear my Vans that are Wing Tipped Eras which are tan with a washed out blank tee.
  4. Probably black or white (canvas or sambas) shoes with like a dark shirt would be best. I think really anything could work though as long as you don't wear very extreme colors you should be fine.
  5. It's funny, I actually don't see this as a rant so much but more so asking the question why do so many people consider Soccer the greatest sport? Which as an American is the opinion we most often assume when we think of sport fans outside of the United States and Canada.

    PSP2

I was just looking at it over on Engadget and it looks amazing, enough to even create a new interest for me in portable gaming for me. I'd be willing to to spend upwards of $350 for the new PSP. My only concern and something I've yet to seen mentioned is of it's battery life.
  7. I think essays are a horrible way to judge a person and they're always so bland. I'd rather do an in person interview then write an essay but that would be nearly impossible for a University to meet with everyone that applies.
  8. I remember putting off doing my essays. It's one of the reasons I choose ASU over apply for the University of Oregon because I didn't have the write an essay and because of that choose I am now at ASU and about to graduate in May.
  9. What do you guys think of the Oscar nominations? BEST MOTION PICTURE OF THE YEAR "Black Swan" (Fox Searchlight) "The Fighter" (Paramount) "Inception" (Warner Bros.) "The Kids Are All Right" (Focus Features) "The King's Speech" (The Weinstein Company) "127 Hours" (Fox Searchlight) "The Social Network" (Sony Pictures Releasing) "Toy Story 3" (Walt Disney) "True Grit" (Paramount) "Winter's Bone" (Roadside Attractions) (Just going to list the one most people care about, but the full list of all nominations can be found here) I've only seen half the films that are nominated for best picture but as of right now I'd probably put my money on The Social Network. I'm going to try and see the rest of the films before the award show
  10. It may not have the most upbeat discussion but I think feel everyone should be aware of world news even if it doesn't directly affect them. We can even look at this as a reason why we shouldn't complain about increased security at our local airports when events like this are happening across the world. Or how is Russia going to respond? Are they going to use aggressive force to find those responsible? Or is it going to slip under the radar and be shortly forgotten about? Just think, if the bombing happened at Heathrow Airport, would the community be making a bigger deal about it?
  11. I have a Seiko watch. I bought it probably six years ago and have worn it everyday since. I've been sort of on the look for a new watch but I've yet to find anything that's really caught my eye yet.
  12. We don't know if Neo actually died, so the possibility of his return is possible. I wouldn't be against the addition of 2 new movies, but where the story could go is beyond me, besides maybe a couple prequels? I could also see why the Wachowski brothers would like too make more Matrix films because of a desire to push special affects like they did with the first film.
  13. A suicide bomber has set off a bomb in the Domodedovo Airport in Moscow, Russia killing 35 and more then 100 injured. It is said that Terrorist are behind the attack. It also looks like Russian officials are taking immediate actions to hunt down those responsible. Some pretty crazy stuff, you can read more about here -> http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-12268662
  14. I forgot how much I enjoyed the latest Animal Collective CD #nowplaying.
  15. I think your take the definition of relationship to serious and missing sort of the metaphor. You build a relationship with the jeans because you first have to wear them for an extend period of time to get your desired look, second the jeans form to your body and are individually crafted to said individual unlike pre-washed jeans.
  16. Alright, you're taking it a bit far. .. No, that is exactly what you do with them.
  17. I disagree. I used to own every wash of the Levi 514s and I'd still take my APCs over them any day. Accessories are good but there is no point to skimp on quality and try to supplement it with something else. It doesn't work.
  18. I try on new jeans all the time just so I can learn how different brands and cuts fit on me. That's my only real advise for buying denim, is that you should always try on jeans before you buy just so you know before hand if you like the cut or not. I would however though highly recommend a pair of A.P.C. New Standard to anyone. They're basically cut like a slim straight leg. New Cure, is just a low-rise slim straight leg. The Petit I've only seen in store but have never tried or know of anyone who has a pair but they'd simply just be skinny jean, probably more intended for women as they're unisex jeans. I've also tried on a couple pairs of Nudies but I couldn't tell you which ones. They were skinny though. I'm was surprised how well a pair of Rag & Bone fit on me, I was actually pretty impressed. @Wongtong, most all denim you find in department stores are prewashed denim, which basically means they're already washed to a desired look. With raw, you get to build a relationship with your jeans and take on more of your own personality then a pair of Hudsons or something would. Technically speakings it's basically how the indigo dye sits on the denim.
  19. I'm only taking three classes this semester and my books ended up totally somewhere between $200-250. :( Last semester I was taking 5 classes and my books only cost me $150. The most I've ever paid for textbooks in a semester was around $400 during my first year of university.
  20. More details would be nice, to give a better understand of what you want and the type of site your making. Otherwise if you just say The Social Network, I think Facebook, Harvard Connection, and Napster.
  21. Agreed, and from what I've notice thats been more of a recent trend that I've personally disagreed with, which wasn't in place back when I was more heavily involved in The Gallery. We were a bit more friendly to new comers I feel. It scares off new users so when I see folks here crack down on others for not critiquing properly or w/e, and I instantly think that person isn't going to be coming back. Also I advice to aim for minimalism in new guides and lists so people don't get lost and confused looking though everything and well organization. Also look into creating a system of canonizing tutorials in The Gallery.
  22. haha, thought I'd check in real quick. :P
  23. So what did he merge it WITH? :???: It got merged with this, http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=14629&sid=ad8e42844b3ea73760b38ce743a3d675
