  1. Well I think in the case of Pixar they build their software for very specific needs so running Linux makes the most sense. I personally love Macs but it all comes down to your personal preference, which is the truest statement for your average consumer.
  2. How do you get anything other then 288 is the real question?

I don't think it has become acceptable for any game, because it is still looked upon negatively by the majority.

What's the topic of the paper?
  5. You can take pictures of tobacco farms.. Seriously though, I don't think a statue will win you a contest. You can try a sunset over a farm or a large field, action shot of horses, a cowboy, etc
  6. Are you trying to learn a new language? (post it notes)
  7. For doing nothing more then creating my account, that's a pretty cool cape I could receive.

I forgot we changed the color of everyone's names. I haven't really thought about any April fools day pranks for tomorrow.. I'll probably come up with something last minute to pull on some friends. The only one that comes to mind right now is telling people I'll buy them drinks tomorrow night and then go "SURPRISE APRIL FOOLS!" but that'll probably piss more people off then those who will find it funny.

My condolences. I also lost my grandfather at the beginning of the year.
  10. Pretty hard to prove that. Theres millions of users of the drug, how many documented "overdoses" have there ever been for cannabis users? None that I've heard of. While there is a lot of people that die because of stupid decisions that relate to use, and long term affects such as lung cancer I am willing to say that with proper use it is less dangerous then Alcohol which is a legal mind altering drug. Always remember dont argue against something by citing abuse. It doesnt take away from the proper use of the thing. IE: Cars are useful to travel, someone uses a car as a weapon. It doesnt mean every driver should lose their car because of it. You'd have to smoke something like a metric ton of weed to die directly from smoking it but that doesn't eliminate all deaths while under the influence. @marcustullius Legalizing marijuana is a work in progress, it's just winning over the older generations that believe it's absolutely evil kinda like the old stigma that tattoos are bad.
  11. Arizona legalized medical marijuana.
  12. The last one is great in an artistic sense. Among the other photos the second & sixth are my favorites for their raw emotions & beauty. Of course some of the pictures without context loss their meanings and are more personal pictures then anything else.
  13. Thought I'd share some more of my photos. These were taken today (3/26/2011) at my friend's hometown of Kearny, AZ during Pioneer Days. edited: Removed the slideshow and put up my three favorites from the set
  14. Just a Nikon D5000 with the stock 18-55MM lens. @Shiny that just really makes the straw hat stand out even more.
  15. I'm not a big fan of it myself either. The only editing I ever like doing is to B&W.
  16. Good thing I have CS5, here I played around with it real quick.. Has anyone noticed the quarter part of a man's head a little right of the middle yet?

It will be interesting to see how it does when it is released. Sadly my money is on it fall within the cracks of the gaming industry.
  18. Ground troops are not needed and will never be accepted. All that was needed was for the world to prevent his importing of weapons and mercenaries and stop the ruthless bombing of his air force. If things get worse I'm sure it's a possibility that that ground troops may be needed. It's very obvious that the US wants to do as much as we can without resorting to sending in troops, because lets face it, we already have enough on our hands as it is. I feel as of right now, I'd put my money on France sending ground troops in if indeed it does comes to that. But of course I hope it doesn't.
  19. It would have been irresponsible if we let the conflict in Libya continue so it was only a matter of time before someone stepped in to do the job. I'm interested in seeing which nation steps up if ground troops are needed.

Lol, lucky :P In other news, I'm going to small show in an hour or so. Bunch of people I know are performing in a bar, should be fun since I know they're great musicians. Other than that, a Saturday well wasted for me :P You're missing the most important part. What Mcdonalds is open at 2 A.M.? and their lobby at that. Aren't all McDonald's drive-thrus open 24hrs?
  21. Went to a spring training baseball game yesterday and quickly snap about 5 photos and had photoshop stitch them together. Wish I had taken about double or triple of that and took the photo's portrait instead of landscape. I'm going to another game next weekend so I'll probably take my camera for redemption but I thought you guys might enjoy it.
  22. For about the past two weeks I've been working core, shoulders, chest, arms, and a little back here and there. Hurt me knee running a couple weeks back after my half marathon so I've been neglecting a cardio workout ever since so today I added 3 x 1000 meters on the rowing machine to my workout. I have to say I enjoyed it, I'm definitely going to keep in my workout routine now.
  23. I've been streaming live performances from South by Southwest all day. Tons of greats bands, wish I managed to pull together a crew to drive out there with me. :(

I've heard good things about Rango. Paul looks pretty good, I don't think you can go wrong with a film with staring Simon Pegg.

Yesterday for Saint Patty's day I went to a baseball spring training game, the DiamondBacks Vs. The Dodgers, drank the whole game, and only got a burnt a little on my neck, which considering it being 90F, I'm surprised I didn't get worse. The rest the day I basically spent hanging out before heading to the bar for a couple more drinks. Overall good St. Patty's day. Today I'm probably just going to chill, go to the gym, and maybe go see that new movie Limitless before we all go out again tonight.
