22-Jul-2013 - RuneScape 3!
That only seems to happen to some people, my mulitplier went all the way down to x0 last night. The real issue seems to be that the mulitplier doesn't work. The entire time, even after hitting x0, I was getting 4, 5 and sometimes even 6 tears each time. I finally stopped after 3100+ tears, having hit x0 somewhere around 2100. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I got two and a half days worth of tears in less time than it was taking to get 1200 tears before.

Today...
This morning I'm in the office helping with dispatch while our main secretary/dispatcher is at the hospital for some tests. Really, I'm just here to help the other girl if one of our English speaking clients calls because the boss isn't here either. So basically I'm getting paid for the morning to sit around, drink coffee and browse the internet on her computer (I've used that laptop of mine for so long, I'd forgotten what it was like on a full-sized screen). The only downside is trying to figure out where everything is on this French keyboard of hers.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Healthy or not, it's still a legal product that the companies have every right to advertise. [/devil's advocate] That said, it annoys the hell out of me that advertising for tobacco in magazines is banned in Canada, but magazines from the states that are sold up here still have them. Edit: the fact that US mags still have them that is, not that they're banned.

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
This was easily the most shocking thing I learned when I first moved out on my own. Especially since I was doing it with a pregnant fiancee and only my second full-time job. It's not the kind of stuff they teach you about in school.

Super September is Coming!
The problem is concept art is exactly that, a concept. An artist's idea of what it could look like to help inspire and guide the people who will actually make it. It's pretty common for the final product to vary somewhat from the concept (you should see the concept art John Blance comes up with for Warhammer, it'd be impossible to actually make), and overall the RuneScape team does a pretty good job of matching the artists' ideas. That said, no boots or gloves seems like a pretty glaring oversight to me. Especially when they just released no less than four different sets that did have them in the last couple of months.

Wait, players are actually working together to get the challenges done? Excuse me, I've got to get back to Earth before the Stargate closes. :P

Today...
I don't need to go back and look at old posts. I was a mature, sensible and knowledgeable member of this community from the start. Plus, I be awesome. :P Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go hide every single post I made before becoming a mod so there's no incriminating evidence. Today I did a preventative maintenance inspection, and almost as soon as I got back in the truck to do the paperwork it began raining. And I mean raining with a capital 'R'. At one point I couldn't see a tree not six feet in front of me. Fortunately, it only lasted about 20 minutes so I won't have to drive home through it. It rained like hell last night too. Tomorrow's supposed to be nicer though. Fingers crossed.

What movie(s) did you last see?
God help me, I watched Elektra...which actually wasn't all that bad. It had better production value than Daredevil, with a much more coherent storyline. It could have done with fewer flashback cuts (yes, we get it, your mom's dead and it's the pain that drives you through life and why you identified with the girl and wanted to protect her...get on with the magical ninja fighting already!), but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I also finally saw last year's reboot of Total Recall. I love the original and this was a good updating of a classic (although, why they felt it needed updating is beyond me). The main story points were there, in a different setting with cooler tech, and the only thing really missing was the Johnny Cab sequence. The three breasted hooker was still there though, so I can't complain too much. :P I also loved the little bits they threw in as homages to the first one. I'll definitely be adding this one to my DVD shelf.
