Ocarina of Time is one of those games held up by nostalgic gamers as one of the best things ever. Is it, though? I really couldn't say for sure. At the time it was pretty damn awesome, so I guess it's one of those "you had to be there" kind of things. Still, a little over 13 years later it still stands up as a good game, and in today's finish-and-forget gaming culture that's pretty impressive.

Did anyone else notice this in the Other News section? Currently fallen stars are members only and I still have bonus xp from the first world event that I can't use. Does this mean that non-members will no longer be able to get xp from the SoF? If so, then there goes my main reason for putting up with the damn thing in the first place. <_<

I just got Papers, Please and it's great. I can see myself wasting many an hour on this laboring tirelessly for the good of the party over the next few days. Glory to Arstotzka! :grin: If you had 2 on the PC... That's awesome! Thanks, Alg. I've found and followed a couple of restoration projects over the years, but they were all ultimately abandoned due to a lack of time/help/resources on the part of the modder/mod team. It's good to see that time has not diminished people's love for the game. Fun fact: the unfinished content from KOTOR2 was left in the game files not in the hope that someone would eventually fix it and restore the game to their original vision, but rather because removing it completely broke other sections of the game that were working.

I was digging around in the wall unit looking for an old movie to loan my friend a few weeks back (Virtuosity on VHS; he couldn't believe I had it. lol) and I came accross Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 for Xbox. Me and my boys have been playing the hell out of them ever since. 10 years old and they're still loads of fun. :thumbup:

How insanely excited my kids, especially my youngest, get on Christmas eve. Makes all the crowd fighting and staying up late wrapping presents worth it. :grin:

Me, resplendent in my finery (I wish my iPhone camera was better 'cause this suit looks awesome on me). I just got back from an old family friend's 78th birthday. Now I'm going to fire up KOTOR on my Xbox so I can micromanage the hell out of my team...LIKE A BAWS!!! :lol:

Watching my dog bound happily through the first big snowfall of the year. I swear, she enjoys playing in the snow more than my kids do.

Not to mention 40+ years of Marvel comics history. Sy's right about Ward, he's been the lone wolf so long that he's having trouble fitting into the group dynamic. We saw a glimmer of his personal side this episode and I think they're only going to expand upon it from here. Baby steps though, that's not the type of person to give everything away at once. I really hope they don't go too much into the super villain thing, but we saw a glimmer of that at the end of this episode as well. Given that the movies are part of the show's history though, I don't see how they can avoid it forever.

It looks like ABC has picked up AoS for a full season, so we're getting at least 22 episodes. :thumbsup: This will be Whedon's first full broadcast season since the last season of Angel in 2003-2004 (both seasons of Dollhouse were short, 13 episode runs).

Watched Sharknado last night, and boy is it bad. When Tara Reid is the best known actor in a movie, you know it's bad. :lol: I can see why it became a cult hit though, all the campy acting and shark deaths were kind of entertaining. Definitely the kind of movie best watched with booze and half bagged friends.

The same can also be said about networks cancelling a show before it even has a chance to find its audience. Case in point: Lucky 7, another new fall show, was just cancelled after only two episodes. Two. Even Drive lasted longer than that. Hopefully ABC is taking more of a long term approach. Although, if there's another big dip in viewership numbers again this week, AoS might be SOL.

Don't forget, offensive language includes more than just swearing. There are plenty of ways to break that rule without saying anything that would be caught by the filter. That said, I have to agree that the automated system really needs to be either seriously overhauled or simply done away with.

Yeah, me too. I hate it when the dishes have soap residue on them. Not rinsing them off just seems lazy. Last night I took my kids back home for a few hours so they could have Thanksgiving dinner with some of their mothers' family. I find it kind of weird that even though it's been nearly 8 years since we split, they keep inviting me to stay and eat with them on holidays. It's almost like they like having me around more than her.
