Of course it's not but I'm just trying to prove a point. Martial sex > premarital sex and the world would be a better place without premarital sex. I call it immoral and wrong because I believe in the Bible.

We can take the Bible out of the equation. I'll make it very simple and very black and white: Premarital sex = single parents, orphans, abortion, prostitution, rape, STD's. Martial sex = babies in a loving family.

The only reason I'm saying it's immoral is because of the Bible. However my personal opinion (not based on the Bible) is that premarital sex leads to a lot of bad things. If it's a fact that the world would be a better place, then perhaps making the world a better place isn't something everyone would sign up for.

No it's not the only opinion I have on the subject. I'm convinced that the world would be a better place without premarital sex, as I wrote in my initial reply on this thread. I'm not going to look up statistics but it seems likely that you won't get any STD's if you stick to the same partner your whole life.

Because the Bible says so. I didn't ask why (though some verses would be nice), I asked what. Having sex and not being married is what's immoral.

Premarital sex is wrong and immoral. If anyone wants to make the world a better place, they should be against premarital sex. With no premarital sex there wouldn't be, or would be a lot less of: abortion, prostitution, rape, sexual diseases etc.
  8. I was thinking of removing mine the other day. My exact thoughts were, "what good does it do, it's just annoying". Thanks a lot for enlightening me, I really had no idea of its purpose.

Explanation: Stupid people who wanted God to perform miracles when no one needed him to. On topic, many atheists search for the truth, which most of us would agree is a good thing. But they seem to think that the only possible way to reveal the truth is through science. Science will not produce truth, science can change at any given moment. Your scientific knowledge may become completely useless. Why do I prefer reading the Bible instead of scientific books, articles etc? The Bible contains sufficient knowledge, answering meta-physical question such as meaning of life and how to live your life. Science is a framework, explaining some physical parts of the universe, perhaps useful today but not necessarily tomorrow.

  11. If you don't have food you have one worry. If you have food you have 100's of worries. So just because we are rich doesn't mean our worries are gone and we will be happy for the rest of our lives. Humans will never be happy with what they've got, they always want more. I'd say the best time is the present as we are more free than ever. Many of us can do just about anything with our lives. We aren't forced to become farmers like our dads or anything like that. In Sweden we don't even need to do military service if we don't want to. This doesn't mean we all will succed forfilling our dreams, but we can't say we never had the chance. You can't find true happiness on earth though, whatever you base your happiness on has a chance of being destroyed at any time. Whether it's your possessions, your family, girlfriend/boyfriend, carrer etc.
  12. Fortunately the Bible says: "...Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." (Matthew 5:44).
  13. Who is your favorite person to discuss things with? Rebdragon or warri0r45. Who do you think would label themselves as your enemy, or beter yet, who do you strongly dislike on this board? tru_vampire0 and jackalope14, both tried to stop me from posting. If you could sit down with one person, and have a deep, philisophical conversation with them, who would it be? Preferably someone older than me. If TIF was "real-life", who would you consider to be your group of friends? Probably no one, though I might be wrong. Do you miss seeing anyone around? Yes. If one person on this board were to become famous for doing something awesome for the world, or for maybe becoming a world leader, who do you think it would be? Insane, because of his sanity.
  14. I'm just curious, have you ever eaten a chicken?
  15. Actually you wrote this: My interpretation: Cruelty to animals is just as bad as human traffiking. I disagree and claim that we should always put human lives before animal lives. Trapical thought we should focus more on significant things such as human traffiking and not insignificant things (in comparison) such as animal rights. You were trying to take the focus away from traffiking and saying that we might aswell focus on preventing cruelty to animals. Please tell me what you're actually was trying to say if my interpretation is totally wrong.
  16. We should all care less for animals and more for humans. When there are no injustices among humans let's start caring for the animals. I can promise that I'll protest for the mosquito's right to suck blood when all humans are treated with dignity, fairness and respect.
  17. I wouldn't want to force anyone to live but I don't want to help anyone die.
  18. Aye, this is true, but the question is, was I really in love? Love is a two way street and I I believe the feeling of love in a relationship is much different than the feeling of 'love' in a a relationship that never really solidified. Yeah, I suppose the quote is more suitable for solidified love. Because if you never really had the one you loved, you can't lose that person. However, I don't think love is necessarily a two way street.
  19. Describing emotions with single words is pointless. You must experience the feelings in order to fully grasp what they are about. It's very common in professional sports, when the reporter asks an athlete how it felt winning the cup or similar. They never seem to able to come up with an adequate answer to describe their feelings. This is not due to the puny vocabulary of the avarage pro sportsman, it's because you must have been there and experienced it to understand. Thanks for sharing your story with us. It was a delightful read and I think I can relate to what you felt, the lament of love lost. But you can always throw in the old clicḫ̩̉̉ - "Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all".
  20. There are a couple of reasons: - It's fun. - It keeps me updated on world wide news. - I learn english and extend my vocabulary. - If someone talks about something I don't know about, I look it up and learn about it. - My own views are questioned and I get to hear other peoples views. That'll do for now.
  21. Other than the ones already mentioned, I'm going to say Kant. I hadn't been active for quite a while when he inspired me to start posting again. Unfortunately he hasn't been very active the last few months.
  22. 3-2 Anaheim. Come on Sens I have a $13 bet on a tied game. I really miss Detroit, now I need to bet money in order to keep the games interesting. I guess I'd prefer Ottawa to win the cup, but I don't like either of the teams.
  23. Okay, I'll take the earth and you can spend the rest of your life on the moon. It's just annoying hearing that we must save the planet, when the only reason for our concern is that we rather recentely discovered that our pollution might be a problem for us in the future. Call it "The attempt to save our own skin" and I might be willing to participate.
  24. It's not pointless if the goal is to save the planet. But that's obviously not the goal, we're just trying to save our own skin.
  25. So we're important because we can say that we are important? And therefore our eradication is not a good thing? I'm talking about saving the earth. The earth doesn't need humans and it would probably be in better shape without humans.
