I don't like the idea of being open-minded. If I've found the truth, why must I be searching for the truth? I could stretch my mind to be open when it comes to details of life, which doesn't make a significant impact on my life if I'm right or wrong about. Does that make me open or close-minded? My guess would be the latter.

I'm sorry that you had to go through that. It's hard for me to say that your experience may have something good in it. Maybe it brought your family closer together, maybe this experience gave you a better perspective on life. I don't know. But I will still stand by my believes. I think our lives should lie solely in the hands of God.

You don't need to be able to move to do something good. In my previous example I mentioned such a lady. Her story moved and inspired me, woke me up and made me realise that I have no reason to feel disappointed with my life. Compared to her I'm very fortunate. I will argue that their lives aren't worthless. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you can't think you are brain-dead and therefore can't feel pain.

How can death be better than life? Why should we help kill such a precious thing as life? No matter how miserable your life is there is always something good you can do with your life. Don't throw away that opportunity just because your life is far from perfect.

I believe there is a difference between man and animals. We are put on earth to rule all animals. Therefore we can decide if they should live or die. Human lives however, lie in the hands of God.

I like Pok̮̩̉̉mon. I like the games which follow the original concept. I thought the anime series were okay and the theme song was great. They realised that they could make a lot of money on other products than just the games. So they made a lot of other Pok̮̩̉̉mon products. I think most of them are garbage but I understand why they were made. So my opinion is that Pok̮̩̉̉mon is great just over exploited.

Favourite player of all time is Zinedine Zidane (France). He's just incredible. I don't think there's any player who has the ability to step it up and rise to the occassion like Zidane. Watching him dominate games at the highest level possible is just magic. During the world cup of 06 he made the brazilian team, regarded as the best team in the world, look like amateurs. Favourite team is a swedish team called DjurgÃÆÃâÃâÃÂ¥rden.

Sorry about the short answers. My beliefs include God and he's the one who gave us our lives. If I break a bone I get medical help in order to live not to die. There's nothing wrong with reducing pain, I'm not a sadist. However, the purpose of living is not freedom of pain. I read about an old lady, nearly deaf, blind, alone, stuck in a bed, half her face was corroded by cancer, she was disgusting to look at. She had constant pain in her head, stomache and back. This sounds like a perfect person to help commit suicide. But this lady, eighty-nine years old, was happy with her life. How could that be? Well, she didn't base her happiness on her physical condition. She based it on Jesus, and his love for her. She kept going on about how good God had been to her. This is hard to believe even for a christian like myself. Sure, you can say, we're talking about people who want to kill themselves not those who are happy with their lives. But I'm saying this to argue that you shouldn't base your will to live on your physical condition. Hopefully I've expounded enough. On a sidenote, I'm going to bed now so don't expect any replies for a while.

So we should make it easier for people to commit suicide in order to decrease our population? My point is, there's no point in keeping people who don't want to live, and are serious about it. It's not like we live in a "survival of the fittest" world anymore. I value everyone's life the same, so everyone's life is worth keeping. However, the question is whether we should help them die or not.

But would you agree that some people have really miserably horrid existances? It's pretty sickening some of the situations people end up in be they genetic or not. Still I don't think death would be a better alternative.

Physician-Aided Suicide shouldn't be legal. You should never encourage suicide nor help someone die. If a person wants to commit suicide you should try to stop rather than try to help the person.

I think you missed out the period when the forums were run by someone called Ruby on his/her host. I believe it was just before scapeboard. Except scapeboard wasn't called scapeboard initially. Sure, loving others is loving God as you're obeying his commands. But there must be a difference between loving God and loving your neighbours. I think you can love God stranded on an Island with no one else on. I love him for everything he's done for me. And I try to love my neighbours as I love God and want to do what he says.

I'm thinking you are arrogant for telling religious people how to live their life. What did Jesus say before he said love your neighbour? "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment." Christianity is not foremost about aiding those in need. It all starts with loving God.

God is self-existent. I'm thinking if something is self-existent, then nothing existed before it, that could've been its cause. Nothing exists outside it, that could be the source of its purpose.
