So, they think they found Jesus' tomb...
To prove the Bible WRONG? You shouldn't try to prove things wrong, you should seek the truth. Can't argue with that. That's all I'll say on that. :anxious: But trying to find out what is and isn't Truth is seeking Truth  . If there weren't so many alternative motivations for doing something like this, I'd probably be more open to the idea. Right now though it just seems like a hoax :? . I didn't want to aid in the derailment of this thread, but I was referring to those who constantly try to disprove evolution and an old earth etc. It's negative proof and isn't even scientific. Sure, truth can be uncovered when something else is disproven, but in science this dosent happen via a belief or having an agenda to keep. Back on the supposed Jesus tomb, It seems to me as another example of christians unwavering belief in the absolute word of the bible. Why couldn't Jesus' body and spirit rise to heavan figuratively? Why couldn't we just back off from thinking the words in the bible are like some unbreakable law? Seriously, if you can answer these questions, you're welcomed to. If you read about the ascension it's not very likely that it was figuratively speaking. It would be an interpretation in which you assumed that Jesus body must be in a tomb somewhere. To me you can't compromise with the Bible, either it's the truth or it's nothing but a couple of well-written stories.

So, they think they found Jesus' tomb...
To prove the Bible wrong? You shouldn't try to prove things wrong, you should seek the truth. Your last sentence makes no sense. The easiest way to seek the truth is to prove things wrong. Actually according to my world view the truth = Jesus as he says: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." Thus (implied) the easiest way to seek the truth is to seek Jesus and you will not find him in the tomb.

Why look for the tomb of Jesus when it's been stated for a long time that he's not there.

The bible
What it comes down to is whether you believe in God or not and his abiltity to work through humans and making sure that the Bible turned out the way he planned. And I believe that an allmighty God would be able to do so. If god would want his word to be taken seriously, it makes me wonder why he didn't send some obvious heavanly prophet-like creature incarnate to do it. The idea of having human write something godly, no matter how so aparrantly inspired they were, is just fundamentally flawed in my opinion. Think of it as when an architect plans to build a building. Does it not turn out the way he planned even though there are a lot of different machines and people doing the actual building process, perhaps not knowing exactly what they were doing. Throughout the Bible God doesn't use the most infulential or popular people to do his work. More often than not he tends to use the underdog, who from our point of view would seem like the odd choice.

Teen Technology
If Mel Gibson can then why can't I? You can but it's a total waste of time seeing as they haven't done any harm to anyone. My apologies to the Jews if I offended anyone, it was a tactless remark. What I meant by blaming the Jews is actually this:

Teen Technology
It most certaintly does not. I'd blame the Jews for this one. And also most forms of Creationism which claim the age of earth to be < 10000 years.

curiosity will kill me yet...
I'm straight, as God intended and wants us to be. I feel sad about the gay-world with all the prejudice and hate against it and also its promiscuity.

Looking back at Runescape.
Were those the forums before Scapeboard? I remember visiting them every now and then. I remember lurking a lot, I didn't join till there was an "old" Scapeboard. I was just wondering how long of a span that was. According to the memberslists RunescapeTips Forums were created Feb 20. 2001 and Old Tip.it/Runescape Forums a k a old Scapeboard were created Jan 28. 2002

Looking back at Runescape.
RuneScape was to me a really good game. The feeling I had while playing during the first year (2001) was amazing. I liked that the game wasn't very popular and had a rather small community. It was fun competing with my friends to gain higher levels. But as time went by most of my real life friends stopped playing and just one continued playing seriously. And as I gained levels I got interested in the hiscores and decided to try and advance on them. Back then I looked up and amired higher level persons like BlueRose13x, Lightning, Pugxsi and others at the top of the hiscore charts. They inspired me to put effort into the game and achieve goals. A level 99 skill was astonishing and you felt lightyears away from achieving it. But it was so different back then. Now there are too many players, and you can't really change the game like BlueRose did. I really think RuneScape is past its prime, but it's because I don't like what the game has turned into. I don't like all the changes that have made the game easier. I liked the mindless, constant clicking that was before RuneScape 2. Leveling was actually a challange back then. Now it's just click on a tree or a rock etc and the game continues to click for you. Not saying that it's a walk in the park these days, but it's just not the same. However, this is not really the reason I quit though, I just started playing World of Warcraft and it was much more fun. But if the game was like it was the day I started playing back in 2001, I wouldn't hesitate to start playing again. Visit for some memories: RunescapeTipsForums

~Nintendo Ds Vs. Sony PSP~
I'd say that people saying that the PSP stinks or has no good games simply doesn't own one or haven't played that many PSP games. There are some excellent games such as Lumines, Tekken, GTA and Burnout to name a few that I've played. Though I do agree to some extend that the NDS has a wider selection of top quality titles. But a more important aspect is the versatility that the PSP offers. I don't believe everyone has actually explored the amount of homebrew games and applications that has been created. Also, there are tons of emulators, GBA, PS1, SNES, GB/GBC, GENESIS, SCUMMVM to name a few. The only downside is that you need a quite large memory stick to be able to use the PSP at it's full capacity. And just for the record I have both a NDS and a PSP and I think the NDS is a wonderful machine aswell.

NHL Playoffs
I hope Flyers will win, not because I'm a big fan of the team, but because of Peter Forsberg my favourite player of all time. Though I don't really see them winning as they haven't had solid goaltending this year. You just can't win the Stanley Cup without a great goalie. When/if the Flyers are out I'll be rooting for Detroit, mainly because of the large number of swedes on the team. I hope that Zetterberg and Lidstr̮̦̉̉m will be able to carry the team if Legace won't show up.

Do YOU believe in God?
Yeah sure life is so much easier...when you struggle all day not to sin against the God who you love more than anything else. And especially when you always seem to let him down no matter how hard you try. And to actually believe that there is a God that still loves you and will forgive a person like me who is an incureable egoist. You do have a point, you shouldn't just buy everything that says in the bible and by christian leaders without questioning it. Basically that's exactly what my school is trying to achieve, to question everything from an objective view, not an atheistic view nor a christian. Though sometimes God's will is beyond my understanding and I surrender to his will.

Do YOU believe in God?
I believe in God. I know enough apologetics to defend my own faith and I'm currently studying at a bible school, where we learn about basically all ethical systems that are used or have been used by people. Though I don't think that I would be able to convert many by saying: "Haha, your ethical system is inconsequent and unreasonable, only a fool could live by that." However you can create an interesting debate, where people really seem to get worked up. I think the reason why so many are atheists and don't want to see the light is because of sin. They don't want walk down the narrow path leading to heaven, instead they want to live by their own standards and decide everything themselves. To obey a God seems stupid and life would be so much better if you just live it your own way. But God's love for us is great and it's beyond our understanding. I just wish for everyone to have a relationship with God, because nothing is better. Everything in life seems so small when you think of what Jesus has done for you and what really matters in life.

remember bluerose13x?
If you don't remember who BlueRose13x was, then you should read up on your RuneScape history. I think most people remember BlueRose13x as the queen of RuneScape and smithing in particular. However she was not only a runesmith, she was also a wordsmith. Her posts on the forum were most often very interesting and long, and I remember how I used to search for what she had written all the time. She was an amazing player and a person who I still look up to.

Online poker
Expekt.com has tables for both real money and play money. I've been playing there for a while now but I wouldn't really recommend the site, they switched client recently and now has quite a lot of downtime on their servers. However, they will probably make sure the client runs more smoothly as they will lose a lot money otherwise. As for playing with real money, I would be careful. You have to be patient, and you have to really learn the game to be successful, it's not a game for everyone. It's also very important to play at a level where you won't put your economy at risk. I started playing on tables with 0.05$-0.10$ bilnds and am still playing on the same tables.

Poker tournament
I'm always up for some poker. I started playing a month ago because my video card suddenly stopped working and poker was pretty much the only thing I could play on the computer. [brag]I started off with 13$ and now I have about 1000$. Sure beats playing RuneScape :P[/brag]

Why did you choose rs over other games?
When I started playing (autumn 2001) I didn't know of any other MMORPG's with 3D-graphics therefore RuneScape was something cool and much more interesting than the text/image-based online RPG's I had played. Not really sure on this one as I haven't played in quite a while. But I liked the community a lot, mostly because of tip.it. The hiscores adds an exciting competition and recognition (or even fame) factor which some other similar games don't have. The simplicity of the game and the fact that you don't need to focus only on the game, but are able to chat, browse these and other forums and even watch a movie or something and still play. But it seems as if they don't want you to be doing anything else (random events etc). Weakness might be its graphics, which is compared to other MMORPG's rather simple and not too exciting. The graphics never really bothered me though. The only FPS I've really enjoyed is Golden eye to Nintendo 64, but then again I'm not a big fan of FPS. I like MMORPG's because they are more or less endless, instead you set up goals which you then try to achieve like in real life. And there is trading, and a lot of interacting with other players, which gets you to know them. The social side of the game is an important aspect making it superior to other games. (I'm not playing RuneScape anymore, I moved on to World of Warcraft mainly because I thought my time on RuneScape had come to an end and many IRL friends started playing WoW. I don't have any problems paying ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì10 a month or whatever WoW costs.)

What candy do you like?
I love salty liquorice. Salty liquorice has a higher percentage of salmiak salt than sweet liquorice which I don't like at all. You realise you miss it everytime you go abroad. It can be very hard to find outside Scandinavia. I don't see what's so special about mint, it tastes like my toothpaste.

Sauna
I also have a sauna at home, but I've only used it like 5 times in 8 years, and most of those times it was because we had our finish former neighbours over. Though every time I go to the local swimming bath, I tend to visit the sauna. It's refreshing afterwards when you have taken a shower, and you feel very clean, though being in a sauna usually makes me sleepy. Probably due to the heat. (Don't try pouring coke on the warm rocks, you will have a pretty bad smell for quite a while, though my friend claims it smells good if you pour some bear on the rocks. )
