Other countries stance on censorship?
That is not a good interpretation of the Bible. God doesn't want us to be idle. When asked what he would do if he knew the world would end tomorrow, Martin Luther replied: "I would plant a tree". Just because we are on the earth and not in heaven doesn't mean we can't still do God's will. We were created to rule the earth, not to stop living and guess when Jesus returns. Yea, and that's fine...But worrying about laws that will babysit your kids for you so you don't have to be a parent is irrelevant and not worth wasting our time on. I didn't say anything about censorship. My opinion regarding censorship is pretty much what Paul says in 1 Cor 10:23:

Getting to know me, getting to know you.
Name - Gustaf Age - 20 Country - Sweden City/Town - Sollentuna, Stockholm Sports played/followed - I play foorball (when it's cold outside) and football (when it's hot outside) with my friends on a regular basis. Follow hockey (NHL) the most I guess. But I love to watch football and other sports aswell. Music Taste - Not very specified. I like to watch music competitions such as american idol, x-factor and swedish idol. Taste is um...generally I just listen to whatever other people recommend. Some favourite bands - Simon and Garfunkel. I think I've almost listened to all of their songs and I pretty much like everything they've done. Instruments played - Piano. I was forced to play for like 5 years. Belief Inclination - Best not to label myself as something. I believe in God . I believe that the Bible is God's words and is absolute truth. However, we are able to misinterpret the Bible as it's not always 100% clear what's being said. I believe in Jesus Christ and that he has died for my sins. If it was up to me, I would have no chance whatsoever to go to heaven. But it's not, thanks to Jesus. I believe living for Jesus and living by his words, is the way we're supposed to live, and thus the best of lives. Hobbies/Other Interests - Sports, games and God. Ideal Travel Location - Heaven. Future Aspirations/Career Aspirations - Currently studying game development at the University of Stockholm. Well see what the future holds. Haven't made any plans really.

The validity of science.
Yes, and so the flood can't be concived as possible without the actions of God. Therefore every argument which includes Gods intervention is worthless and intrinsic. How is the Bible just as valid as science? Science is empirical testing the bible is just a book I actually believe it's more valid than science is. But if you don't believe that God or the Bible is the truth then I guess you have to settle for science and the framework it has to offer.

The validity of science.
I wouldn't say science is such a great gift from God. Science is often used as a tool to try to disprove God. I don't see what's so great about that gift. Science in the light of the Bible is to me great. However, you're not supposed to change God or the Bible to correspond with current scientific theories. It's just as likely that science is wrong rather than we having misinterpreted the Bible completely. Although it has happened before, like when we thought the earth was the centre of the universe. Bear in mind that the Bible is not able to answer all questions about the seen world. The Bible answers the questions that matter the most. Like: Why we are here? Where the world comes from? Meaning of life? and so on.

But the lack of evidence should. You could argue that we just haven't found the evidence, but I'm not an archeologist nor have I researched articles about Ark findings, thus I can't tell. What I don't like is persons saying a global flood is impossible from a logical view. If there is a God and it's written in his book, it's possible due to his omnipotence.

Sorry if I made you look like an idiot. I don't think you are. Maybe I'm just tired of people trying to make us religious people look like idiots. I guess many think we're idiots. However, it doesn't belong in a discussion. I just don't believe in macroevolution. It doesn't make sense to me and in my opinion the theory is lacking evidence.

The validity of science.
I think some of it falls under the same category as Jesus walking on water. That doesn't seem to be possible unless he is God and is able to defy physics. The Noah's Ark/flood is possible if there is a God. However, I would also like some archeological findings supporting the Ark. But as Tigra00 says: Why is that impossible? Because the fossil record doesn't support it? That hardly has any meaning to me at all.

The validity of science.
To me there is a huge difference between macroevolution and microevolution. If you're just talking about evolution I can't be sure what you're actually saying. What I'm addressing is that you are saying: "Because the fossil record doesn't support it? That hardly has any meaning to me at all". If fossil records hardly has any meaning at all, then the lack of them shouldn't be able to disprove Noah's Ark.

Do you agree with what lordkrohn1626 says: Obviously? He's right. There is no evidence for the flood. Or, like I said, for any of the Bible's claims for that matter. Then why is the lack of fossils/evidence a problem when it comes to the Bible and Noah's Ark, and not a problem when you're talking about macroevolution?

Care to explain/elaborate what I'm clearly not getting? So basically, you're saying "God did it, stop thinking, God just did it, he's supernatural so there's no point", rather than having us try and uncover the Truth of existence, am I correct? That's the vibe I'm getting, correct me if I'm wrong. If so, then let me respond by saying this: God, if He exists, is infinite. We can never fully understand Him. But the more we learn about him, the closer we are to Him. Science, through it's analysis of what is and isn't Truth, theoretically brings us closer to knowing God, and as some religious guy would say it, "sharing in His glory". Science is on God's side. Dunno why some people seem to think otherwise. I can agree to some extent that science is bringing us closer to understand God's creation. However, science tends to fill gaps with theories that don't correspond with my world view such as neo-darwinism. Therefore I'm sceptic to the "science is aiming towards the truth all the time".

It seems as if science is not even trying to uncover the truth. "The underlying goal or purpose of science to society and individuals is to produce useful models of reality." Science

Noahs Ark
Putting Jesus first: Live for Jesus not yourself. Do his will not yours. I'm not saying I'm succeeding. I'm failing miserably, though I still believe I shouldn't give up as Jesus doesn't give up on me. Make his death worthwhile. I can't help quoting the Bible as it's the source of my views. I'd rather you listen to the Bible than my words, but of course I understand what you're saying, I'm not too thrilled about the may change so called scientific facts and evidence all the time either. What is that supposed to mean? Let's just say I prefer absolute truths. The thing is, korskin, you think the bible is the truth. You need faith to believe it. Science changes and is accountable for mistakes. The thing about science is that it tries to search for the absolute truth, which is unchanging, and has and will continue to make progress towards that goal. The bible is different. The absolute truth is there in front of you, supposedly, and all you need to do is believe in a mythical story which defies all god given enquiry and logic. That goal seems unachievable according to wikipedia: "Science does not and can not produce absolute and unquestionable truth." More importantly science doesn't answer metaphysical questions that too me are more important.

Ahh yes, the old theological trump card. The old theological trump card that only makes any sense if you are already a theist. Making it as redundant as the 'if you don't believe in god, you're going to hell' attempt at conversion. We're discussing the Ark and how God supposedly flooded the earth. How is the question of God's omnipotence senseless and redundant? None of it is real. People don't even believe in God because they know he's real, they believe because the don't want to burn eternally. People are cowards.Ever see people in church? Noone is happy to be there. They hate it. They would rather be watching TV and doing somethig productive. To prove God does not exist, I urge you all to pray for me to drop dead on the sidewalk rather than praying that God save my helpless little soul. I guarentee you I will not be dropping dead anytime soon. God doesn't exist. First, my exact thoughts two sundays ago during a church service: "I wouldn't rather be anywhere than here". That is not the case on every church survice, but to say that noone is happy is truly this BS you speak of. I don't mind if you think I'm deluded but you're statement is not correct. I think a life where you put Jesus first is the best of lives. Second, you not dropping dead does not prove God doesn't exist. God is good he wouldn't answer to drop dead-like prayers. I wouldn't be doing God's will if I prayed for you to drop dead. Not that I consider you an enemy or anything but if I did Jesus still teaches: ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅYou have heard the law that says, ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâLove your neighbor' and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven."

Nhl
I follow it quite intensively. Cowan's a suprise, seems like giving him more time on the ice helped his goal production. I'd expect him to slow down soon though. If not, Vancouver might have found just what they needed. They really need to score more goals and can't rely soley on Luongo. Los Angeles @ Detroit is on a swedish channel tonight. Might be an interesting outcome due to Detroits many injuries. Gotta be a tough break to lose what was the league's hottest player, Zetterberg. Anyway, I will enjoy watching Lidstr̮̦̉̉m, the best defenceman in the league.

The "I Hate America Club"?
... dont exaggerate Perhaps I'm exaggerating but my point is that Sweden compared to America is insignificant.

If Kazakhstan disappeared tomorrow we'd sure miss the potassium. Potassium? What about Borat?

The "I Hate America Club"?
Regardless of what you think of America, it's a country that matters. Everyone you meet has an opinion about America even though most of them haven't been there or really experienced it. Most people (me aswell) form their opinion from what they've heard about in the media. However, I'm thankful for what America has done for the world. They often act when something is terribly wrong in the world. Might not always be the best outcome but at least they made an effort. After watching Hotel Rwanda I think that the worst thing you can do is to do nothing. In Sweden we don't have the will nor the power to do anything. The whole country could disappear tomorrow and the world would still be the same. Maybe you'd miss IKEA, but it's not like there aren't other stores out there.
