  1. This was one of the wierdest things I've had to model.... The entire thing was made from a 2D plane, just as you would fold it in real life. At first I figured it would be pretty easy, I just had to follow the instructions in my origami book. I don't think I could have been more wrong... :-P After folding, slicing, and bending points all over the place, I finally got to a point that looked presentable and I called it done.. It could still use alot of work if I were picky... Again, this was all done "2D" so to speak... Questions and comments welcome and appreciated. I wish I had more time to work on my modeling, I really enjoy doing it but I don't have much time to.... Oh, and here is a polymodel of it... I did this afterwards to see if I could make it look any better...
  2. That's a horrible view of the knife... let's see some different angles so we can give better assessments... :) Shotgun looks fine...
  3. Just depends... sometimes I do modeling, every once and a while I animate certain elements in a scene. Alot of the times I do rotoscoping for compositing. That basically means that I cut people out of certain scenes and put them in other scenes. Also do rotoscoping to hide 3D elements behind live action... Sometimes I write treatments for project ideas... I do all kinds of things, it just depends. Sometimes I even carry old 3/4" tapes out to the dumpster. :-P Click my signature to see our work.
  4. Yeah... we have all kinds of sizes at work... most of ours are like 8.5x6 although we do have bigger ones on our compositors...
  5. Read up on some color theory.
  6. Even if it's just a hobby, I don't think $80 for a tablet is a waste. WACOM is pretty much the industry standard as far as tablets go... Get one, it's well worth it. :)
  7. Now now kids... The best thing to do is get some stock textures and "create" your own textures from those. Not a bad start but keep on working at it. This is one of those things that no matter how much you read about it, it doesn't help unless you sit down and do it. And keep doing it.
  8. From Troy: And that is why no one will remember your name.
  9. Coming from someone who knows. Especially because his is so good.
  10. From a design standpoint, I'd make the text easier to read...

  13. Haha that bodykit is gangsta!! Really nice looking. Jabraulter, I didn't say you had to ask me to speak. But unless you wish to further your appearance as an ignorant fool, you should retire.
  14. The depth had not yet been added to the wheel. ;) Thanks for the comments, glad you guys like them. :)
  15. Well the end of the year has come, and my portfolio was due today.... These were never finished, and so I made a finish piece out of them... It was too much work to completely disregard. The idea of this is a sort-of digital-sketchbook feel. Enjoy. :) http://img217.echo.cx/img217/3143/vcars8ud.jpg Crits welcome but will only influence future projects.
  16. You should change it to be your new signature... current one is.... not as good.
  17. Nice signature. For a tree hugging freak.
  18. Could use some contrast....
  19. You, your signature, and your posts are all a bore.
