:lol: Let's not make this something it isn't! I never told him to kill himself or to stop doing graphics. All I said was that it was by no means a space scene, and that it looked horrible. What he chooses to do with that advice is up to him. If we see him back here next week with another, slightly improved one, maybe then we can give him some pointers. Oh, and although you did post some questionable "space scenes" you never posted 3 circles with different colors on a black background. :)

Few Questions. Will the "winner" overall be selected based on the his complete amount of points from all 3 rounds? Will the points be reset every round? You say there will be "themes." What kind? I hope by theme you mean theme, and not style. I wouldn't want the last round to be "Gorey PhotoManips" when that isn't really a theme I guess, but more of a style. Something like... "Darkness" would fit that better maybe? Well that's just because I hate 90% of manips (most require little skill) but you get the idea. :) Let me know.

You can use Greg Martins tutorials. They are made for photoshop, but the idea is just the same. Just use the same techniques, it's really easy. If you don't understand how to relate the techniques from one program to the next, you shouldn't be doing the tutorial. Start off with something simpler then move up. :) A Gaussian Blur is a Gaussian Blur no matter what program you use.

3 spheres with textures applied that come with 3dsm. don't even have good lighting. placement is horrible. not really a space scene. call it "circles." and you might get a better response. horrible.

I like 2pac's overall image better. Colors of the sky are nicer.. The tops of the mountains have a nicer texture.. The lake in the middle looks good, the water edge is just a bit foamy though. Overall better than Nad's overexposed picture. Honestly though, who cares who can move a bunch of sliders around better? Nad, you proved to us that this is all you do by telling us how you weren't sure to get rid of all the light from that spot. Good job guys, one of you got luckier than the other. That's all it is.

Nevermind don't listen to me. These were meant as just drafts, they need alot of work, I was just trying to give some ideas of what you can do to photos after you take them, just to add something to them. Your cat looks fine how it is though.

Just a quick thumb of what I mean... Hope you don't mind.. Now that I look at these, yours looks good too, but these are just some other ideas. You can then add whatever kinda text you want, but I think your Misquito text pulls too hard on the image.. Just some thoughts. :)

Good start on everything.. The border should be reduced to like a solid black line, maybe about 20px thick? Then select the area around the cat and tone down the saturation. The cat is your emphasis, so I would want to see that first, not the pretty pink rose behind it. I think that would look pretty cool. Maybe even have the BG near b/w. Just some thoughts. Nice work either way. :)

Don't antialias the pixel text. Defeats the purpose. The text is too "gangster" The style of the sig is "techy" Make the themes match.

Heh.. I remember seeing those trees about 1.5years ago on my old Xlimit forums... Good to see you are putting them to use! Nice work, looks awesome and I still love the trees. :)

Jeez man this board has turned into a bunch of hatin' commies... Looks fine to me, shape is original at least. Can't really complain about the effects, most of the sigs here have similar ones and/or ones that are just as easy to create/render.

Since when were mirrored renders "prime examples of uncovrds work." :o :P Hah. Nice sig, I like the old mirrored one you did that was blue and had the little red pixel text. That was classic. Nice work!

I'm liking the Jammy316 sig, minus the drop shadow. Pretty nice use of that effect. Keep up the good work. Lots of potential I see in your work, just some poor descisions on placement and other minor things. Good stuff.
