Future Update Discussions
The new dwarven quest looks awesome. I wonder what they're making in those machines... As with the dwarf graphics, yea I agree they need an update. They do have updated chatbox graphics though which is somewhat good I guess.

Ugh, knew I should have sold my mithril bars earlier... didn't know this whole free trade thing will cause prices to just plummet. At least it didn't go TOO low... that's the only bright side. But I'm gonna go sell them right now before they drop again... (This is probably the mindset that is causing so many items to fall recently.)

"A Loser" is approaching #2 to 200m rc, just a heads up. I dunno, it seemed like an honorable mention to me I guess.- Sonic's F2P Dungeoneering Guide
I'm eventually going to put every puzzle in section 7, so meh. Also section 3 is meant to be as a brief overview, so that's why I put it there. Strategies are only given in the specific sections.- The F2P General Discussion Thread
Prices of runes/ess, multiple rune update, amount of runs you can do in an hour. Only water and earth are like this atm. Unlike mining, rc is very dependent on prices/levels. Using maximums the figure does hover near the 200k/hr mark give or take a few, but since not everyone can do maximums the figure is lower. And remember what I said, iron ore is competitive so the practical figure is lower as well (~170k/hr or so). Great Orb Project is great too and even surpasses 200k/hr but you gotta be in a pro team all the time.- The F2P General Discussion Thread
If you want consistency, runecrafting is the way to go. Both iron and runite can get extremely competitive at times, making the practical figure lower. Runecrafting actually matches iron ore gp/hr at rc levels like mine, lol.- New Moderator, swedishboy5!
Congratulations Swedishboy on becoming a moderator! ^^- The F2P General Discussion Thread
Thanks. Now that basically confirms that using armor of any type is just pointlessly stupid... (except for gaunts/boots since they boost str) And gratz Sees on 85 mining! I'm still working on mine <_<- Oinkbullet3.

FORUMS ARE FINALLY UP WOOT. Thank you Medi :D good luck with your pray! You're a dedicated skiller/rcer as well ^^ Nothing to report. Recently been hanging out on the Sega forums cuz I felt like talking Sonic stuff, lol.- Sonic's F2P Dungeoneering Guide
May I ask how are the sections redundant? Is it because of the order of how my guide is written? I pretty much go from general to specific with guides like these so yea... If you want me to change the order of the sections for better flow of the guide, I'll do it.- The F2P General Discussion Thread
I honestly didn't know about the merc leader detection trick. I didn't know about the ferret trick before either (read: a while ago when the puzzle was released). Then again I only encountered the merc room like once or twice. And can someone confirm that dg armor has soak bonuses? I heard when the soaking update was added, dg armor was not affected (and therefore still not worth using).- Rapier vs Longsword
Yes the speed is precisely why it is superior. Most monsters, especially slayer tasks, have negligible defense. Rapiers also get the upper hand in stab-weak monsters as well as they can attack more times per turn dealing more damage. EDIT: Ninja'd- The Combat Guide corrections
Hello there! Thank you for your corrections! The information you stated above have been added to the combat guide. We appreciate your help. :) ~ Sonikku- Dungeoneering
Don't team with randoms end of story. Get a bunch of friends or people that you know (the forumers here basically) and do med/large dgs together. Sure you won't always get 5 in a team but it beats randoms by far.- Dungeoneering Rants.
Happens a lot. Very, very frustrating... one of the reasons why w7 fails these days.- The F2P General Discussion Thread
True. I get around 10 tokens with 1.5k-ish charges (the amount of charges I usually get) and that sure is hell a lot faster than the 4.1k one which I got ~20. I still cbf house suiciding tho D: it makes me look like a noob. XD --- Side note. Why can't dg randoms in w7 have the same "complete the dungeon asap" mindset? I mean, you WANT your large dungs to take an hour and a half? Seriously I don't get these people at all. I know that with low-healing food in f2p, non-GDs can sometimes be lethal. Even in a "clear all except deadends", designation of monster killing (aka. pile this monster, then move on to another) really speeds it up. In a Dragoon "clear all except deadends" large, the fastest was around 45 minutes iirc. However, in most cases, skilling is almost never necessary. Sure the boss can deal a [cabbage]load of damage on you if you're not careful. But I find that with steady teamwork fighting the boss, even an inventory of picked up dusk eels as well as pray switching does the job. I guess buying short-finned eels and cooking them and making damage-boosting gear (melee boots/gloves) is acceptable skilling, but skilling in general just wastes time. This is especially true with things that have trivial to nonexistant effects (looking at YOU armor making). I just wish the general population of w7 want faster dungs more... then I don't have to worry how I dung anymore  *realizes this isn't the pro dg thread, but then realizes that is focused towards p2p, so meh*- The F2P General Discussion Thread
Never once have I gotten 5k even on a low lvl opponent, the highest was 4.1k. Maybe it's got something to do with my mediocre combat skills... ^^;- Skilling in Pro DG
Using prayer negates the need for armor except for shades, and other monsters that use multiple styles. Multiple monsters in a room might also be another, but usually when there's 6 or so monsters in a room they shouldn't be that hard to deal with than, say, only 1 in the room. In rooms with doors (the ones you open/close) you can trap melee monsters in these rooms in non-GDs. I don't think range/magic monsters can be lured though, unless you're SUPER precise attacking them and moving around the squares. Unless it's a GD and there's no places to hide, you shouldn't really use melee prayer much as it's easy to trap the monsters in such a way that they cannot reach you. That leaves range and magic... if a high-level mage is in the room, pray magic, ranged otherwise. I find that range attacks from most monsters are the most annoying of the bunch. However because of the mage's ability to bind and weaken, they are more annoying than most ranging NPCs. Now back to armor. Sure, if you see one laying around, use it. But MAKING ARMOR itself is just pointlessly stupid and selfish, even if it's making it for the keyer. Only case where is actually useful is Kal'ger, but even then you can just pick up armor drops on the ground. Prayer is equivalent to full t10 anyway. Food hogging, not communicating and the like are also problems. In short, for dummies (randoms in w7/117/148): ARMOR MAKE BAD. FOOD HOG BAD. SILENT TYPE BAD.- Skilling in Pro DG
Keep in mind that I do not act like that while doing a dg. It's just that even when I DO call for help politely, they just pass on my comment like it's not there or something. And THAT'S what made me vent like hell in the first place.- The F2P General Discussion Thread
Well I'm the type that centertanks cuz I'm lazy XD And it doesn't hurt either. For one I get more rating/tokens for that round. For another my opponent gets free xp, why not? :)- Skilling in Pro DG
Lol @ anyone who thinks armor making is even worth it (pointing at the first 2 replies). Seriously, test it out yourself - full set of armor vs no arming. Against high level monsters and bosses the two makes so little difference since 1) higher level NPCs have extremely accurate and strong attacks and 2) you're going to be praying anyway so what's the point. I'm a f2per so non-GDs can actually be fatal (only dusk eels are dropped that only heal 70 LP), but calling your team members to GDs is still important for the keyer(s) to progress. One more thing: Never never never never NEVER team with randoms! 9 out of 10 they will NEVER listen to you and insist on doing their own thing. A large dg in f2p I keyed with 4 other randoms that should have taken 45 minutes at most ended up becoming a 90 minute fest all because the other 4 were being ABSOLUTE JACKASSES. When I say GGS tele, GGS TELE. When I tell you to clear this GD, CLEAR THIS GD. When I tell you to do this skill puzzle, DO THIS SKILL PUZZLE. When I tell you to stop skilling, STOP SKILLING GODDAMMIT. What ended up was that NO ONE was listening at all. I ended up having to SOLO CLEAR (yes you read that right) a lot of GDs with high level monsters (100+!). When you're a combat 87 with only tier 5 weapons at your disposal, you can't do much. I wish people can just look up a dg guide or something... randoms are so stupid it's not even funny. - 200M in all Skills
